I would have never known about the prime exclusive armer set had it not been for you. Thank you. Super easy to get.
I've quite a bit of good shields but I've found Blodwulf is my favorite because of being able to ignite weapon on parry. I also have the "Ignite Weapon" ability always slotted (just in case needed) but I hardly need to use it with Blodwulf equipped with the added advantage of not having to use up adrenaline bars.
Just get the bloodwulf, upgrade to mythical and slap on the curative guard diamond rune and now you have health on parry while keeping the ignited weapon perk.
Briton shield (health on parry) and hrafn guard (speed on block/parry) would be my top 2. Speed is still the best stat in the game, the only one that makes the most significant difference. That's why it's tough to beat dual wielding spears. Fyrd Spear and Areadbhair Spear (store item), those two will put you at the speed cap and hit hard and very fast.
Just got this game and decided from way before that i was going shield and another wep as my main play through so im glad you uploaded this, ty. Starting with the twitch prime shield until i can gey the briton one
I have all of these! 🤓😎 But I also really like the Icewall shield from the Niflheim pack.. Increase Crit Chance after block, and it’s looks awesome

I really like the morrigan shield. I'm using it with the Blacksmith hammer and using heavy attacks. Especially when adding other parry damage buffs up through. (Btw. using all speed runes and the difference is notable)
But there is a huge variety of weapons that work amazing together...even for me I needed to level up to be able to use them while the dual axes or double saex are not really doing it for me anymore (used those constantly at the beginning).
Later in the game you get different weapon runes. Then you can add to weapon/shields/bows those parry buffs. Like the "heal on parry". Then you wouldn't need a parry shield for healing. So you can have that field of fire, parry on heal, poison cloud and some ignite or poison on parry. Ohh and also ignite on crit.
Also not unimportan. Parry runes are also active when on the bow. So one effect more to add. What means something hits more often.
Interesting. I have many of these shields already. I should try to remember this ranking.

For me, its any circle or light shield. Slowly circling an enemy while holding a shield on left hand and resting a spear on your right shoulder, waiting for a parry, is fun for me
I’m late but early game spears where killing me lol let’s see how they like it now
nice is there are weapons with effects similar to few of mentioned shields,only on those weapons,the effects happens on crits.i personally love pairing these shields and weapons,dressed in thegn´s armor

I use the drauger armour set and it’s hammer aswell as the The Morrigan’s guard so on crits my weapon poisons and on parry’s I make a poison cloud and then the armour gives me a stun boost on poisoned enemies it’s a sick set also two Neiflhim pieces can be good because extra grit chance after kills but I wish we could transmogg
Problem with shields is you can't dodge cancel a parry.
Same im just enjoying the world and over time doing the main story. On hardest difficulty from day1

Does it really matter what weapon or armor used since you can use runes of their abilities on any of them I been rocking the raven armor and shield and Varin ax through the whole game.
Do you know if the glitch vid you put out yesterday still works. I did it and got 32 nickel and tungsten ingots but I wanted to do it more and wasn’t sure if it still worked.
My favourites are briton and sarcophagus, too.
And i think also think that the gothic one will be pretty good too
gothic shield sounds nice tho with no details provided it kinda pointless,yknow it can have just small heal with long cooldown (worst case)
I don’t know if this has been covered on this channel but as we all know fabric is a scarce item in game has this been patched yet or are we still SOL in either making a choice between fully upgrading our Eivor or doing a side quest?

you loose one you get one. And you need booth abilities. Until finding it it was useless to me.

Does combining the poison and fire shield share a cooldown? What about adding the runes with those effects to the shields? Does everything share the same cooldown?
they don't. it's by chance...luck. I think they can also strike together. I have those runes on all weapon. right hand, left hand and bow. At least one is something with heal. (heal on parry) Somewhere I got a rune for that.
I put a rune on morrigans shield that ignites the area around me, so now my morrigan has a chance to release and poison cloud and ignite the enemies in my AOE.
What weapon do I use with the sarcophagus shield. Plz comment on what to use
I don't remember the name of the shield but it's the one that gives you a little bit of health back when you block with it that's my favorite shield in the game
Near Hadrian Wall is Legharta axe

Yes, it's strange and hard to describe in words, basically if the attack is using solely their weapon and not their first, shield or other means - it is still parryable. It is very strange and hard to predict and it also works in Odyssey.

The missile reversal Skill counts as a parry so the heal on parry is just flat out the best effect.

I have a glitch where whenever I upgrade my quiver I don’t actually get more arrows in my quiver. I am two upgrades away from max and i can still only hold twelve hunter arrows and I upgraded it twice today. Thank you for saying the yule festival glitches so that I knew what not to do.
Try going to vinland and shooting all the arrows and then go back to england and buy arrows from a merchant, it worked for some people
If only there were presets in the game. It would make switching gear so much easier
Anyone know what kind of runes I should place on my light shields after the nerf?
Longswords need a huge buff, their light attacks to so little damage compared to other smaller and faster weapons.
Agreed! All they have going for them are range, the charging special attack, and some cool decapitations. But their speed is a big trade-off.
they are quite good. If you use two longswords. After the first swings you start stabbing your opponent in quite good rates. Compared to most waeapons it wasn't the toughest to work out the timings. But I recommend to first make sure you find the timing for parrying. Maybe also the skill to shoot distance attacks back.
I think at the start fast weapons are better. Later the slower ones are becomming easier to use...also because you get speed runes and can advance the weapon so you can use them.
Ohh what I forgot. Use a quick weapon in the right hand and the longsword in the second. You can kind of do those bash attacks. When you learn to do them it's quite something...or just swap weapon and shield for it. If getting used to it...and maybe rebind it on PC...it's quite useful when using a shield.

I just got the Briton shield before watching this! The Morrigan’s Guard is a beautiful shield and the first one I found naturally.. meaning I didn’t watch a video and hunt for it first. Damage over time is great when you are in a crowd. I also picked up the Winged Shield a while back when it was in Reda’s shop, that is another beautiful shield and part of the Valkyrie pack. I have been using the Niflheim pack and loving it but yes, the Plank and Buckler was my favorite for awhile. I actually don’t use Bludwolf because I kept setting myself on fire! 🤓
The rune farming method, giving beggars five coins for a rune doesn’t seem to work for me. Was it patch yet or do i just restart my console?

I hate getting excited about a loot item chest, spend 15 minutes working through the barred/locked doors to get to it, and it is another shield! Ugh.

I don’t kill civilians sometimes because if it’s a fort thing there aren’t any . But Yh I don’t see why you can raid villages and monasteries and not kill civilians while you can see your crew killing the civilians as they want

@@BigBearAce i hate that they focus on that bull in a single player game while there are still so many bugs and some people cant even finish the game.
Hammers are still amazing. Best hammer is Thors hammer. As you are just stunning enemies nearly constantly.
But for the time you play the story what counts most...my preffered is the Blacksmith Hammer and using heavy attacks. When they are down you can jump them. It quite good.
The second best is the one from the Draugr pack. It gives poison on crit. Quite well when having the Mealstrom feat. (some weeks ago you could get it through that vendor for these stones)
There is also another one that gives a good bonus. I think it was the War Hammer I used as it increases Heavy Damage after Heavy finishers. Though it fits with the Blacksmith Hammers attribute.
But I have to say for myself they are weapons for the later part. When having learned how to parry and getting a bit quicker with things. As they are reeaaallyyy slow.

Head for the Roucistre blockade in southern Cent.
There you will find some guards with guard dogs, you kill the dogs and you get your fangs.
if you fast travel and then come back they respawn. I hope the rip was useful
