Klug.Sympathisch.Einfache Wahrheiten, die man leicht vergisst. Der Tipp mit dem Zeit nehmen, wunderbar! Man ist in der schönsten Natur und will möglichst schnell wieder raus 😂 Go slowly!
@@jamies_adventures Hi. Yeah, I couldn't believe it's raining in Scotland, that good weather I had for 10 days. :D But this year on the Rob Roy Way I had the full package of Scottish rain... ;-)
Sensible advice. I did it five times, back in the 90s, and wouldn't say different. Too many people start at Milngavie and blast into it like they're on SAS selection or something. As the man says, take it easy, enjoy it. You're going through cracking scenery that works wonders on the soul. Especially if, like most of us, you live and work in a major city.
Hej Jamie, thanks for the video! I've done the WHW in the second half of may and can relate to every single one of your tips. The last three days were hard, because of rain, hail and galeforce winds, so having the chance to postpone if possible is a good recommendation. And yes, definitely do not underestimate the way. Your feet will cry for mercy every single step if you do (they might anyway, but maybe less intense ...)
A couple of tips I have for the WHW, which I've walked both ways. 1. Go from Milngrave to Fort William, the other way is so much harder as I found out. 2. Be mental prepared, it doesn't matter if your walking fit, if your not mental prepared your not going to complete the walk. I use flip flops, there lightweight, cheap and easy to carry, plus you can wade across stream with them on instead of camp shoes.
I just discovered your channel and subscribed. Fantastic tips and such a clear picture and sound in your videos. I'd like to do the WHW end of Sept/early Oct. Going to check out some of your other videos for more fantastic tips. Thank you!👍
Thanks for a video! Just bought a flytickets and we are getting ready to fly to Edinburgh in next two weeks and complete WHW. We are really looking forward.
The more weight you carry the more you'll enjoy your camping, the less weight you carry the more you'll enjoy your walking. WHW is a 97 mile walk, enjoy.

Vielen Dank für Ihren freundlichen Kommentar! :-)
Thx for tips. Helped me to prepare me for my own WHW-Adventure last year in August/September. Weather wise I was really spoiled by Scotland back then.
Your very welcome! Glad you had a great time! Scotland is amazing in great weather huh! Thanks for the comment :-)

@Buszkraftowski Basically with Scotland you just have to take every type of gear for all weathers

Thanks. You’re welcome.
Apart from the bonus tip, I can 100% vouch for these tips, and in this order. It is harder than you think, so get good footwear and pack lightly!
Thanks for your comment :-)
Great advice!!
Thanks for watching!

Agree! It’s a fine balance huh!
