    Folks, I just want to say this video was very helpful for me as I was considering one of these cars. I recently bought a 2016 E400 coupe with 31,000km on it. Agree with many of the comments in this video - car is built very solid, has everything you need and can easily put in CarPlay afterwards. As these types of cars are falling out of favour, they are very unique to have and you can't go wrong with this generation of E Coupe. Great video review!

    • @davereimer1797
      @davereimer1797 11 месяцев назад +7

      I like the exterior design of the C207 better. Smaller car being built on the C class chassis. More reliable era of Mercedes as well. More simple interior - i dont need all the fancy sparkly stuff that came in the w213. Also, a good example of a W212 with low mileage is a much better buy than a W213. @@MultiCjrox

      Same 🙋 2016 E400 coupe. Got used with 70K on it and now 105K and still no complaints. Ironically, I was at the shop looking at a C43 AMG, gave the E400 a test drive out of curiosity and ended up leaving with it.

    I have the same car here in the states but it's as a 2014 E350 Coupe with the 3.5 V6, 302hp / 273tq. I have not had any issues out of this engine. It's been reliable and very smooth. Currently 122,000 miles on the clock and it's still running great. I just don't do oil changes every 10k miles per Mercedes guidelines. I do them every 5k miles or 6 months whichever comes first. Just doesn't feel right waiting for 10k miles. The only issues I've ran into since owning this car is the steering wheel adjustor. It's a common problem with this model and many others in this era where it'll get stuck in the up position. I'm 6'6" so it's already at the right height for me so not too worried but that's the only problem I've had. All in all I love the car and it's a great highway cruiser and long distance vacation / holiday ride.

      @@pritchettdan Yep mine was in Mars Red as well. Beautiful color. I've since traded it though. When I traded it had 134k miles on it and was still problem free. Upgraded to a 2016 E550 coupe. And here....already spending 'upkeep' costs lol. I have timing covers leaking which is common on the M278 engine. While there, replacing all coolant lines including turbo lines. Replacing camshaft solenoids (known to leak into the wiring) since they will have the covers already off, might as well do them too. Few other odds and ends. Thinking it's going to run a little over 2 grand for everything I need done by Mercedes. So on that part, I'm missing the simpler side and problem free v6 lol.

    The 3,5 liter version is actually A LOT less reliable than the 3.0 liter version. The 3.0 liter version is much stronger built and has no common problems whatsoever. The problem list for the 3,5 liter version is long, starting from NOX sensors to timing chain problems and tilting pistons. The 3.0 liter version is also completely identical to the C43 AMG engine (everything from pistons to turbos) so the tuning possibilities are fantastic.

    • @ParagonCarsLondon
      @ParagonCarsLondon  2 года назад +9

Good of you to put some shine on this beauty! I don't regret going from this to the 2017 model a few months ago though, I love my (new to me) e coupe and it really was a bargain! I had the 3.5-version for 4 years. No troubles at all. The car has the full torque at 1.200 rpm already, which gives you a slingshot-start. In Sport-Mode the car reacts superfast to the pedal. I do not recommend using Sport-Mode in traffic-jam, else you jump the guy infront of you in the back. It's a bit thirsty with 12 liters on 100 kilometers. On the Autobahn you go 100-200 in like 13 seconds. It's fast enough to do enough shit.

    These have caught my eye. Currently have a 2008 Alfa Brera Prodrive 2.2 which has been a fantastic car, still looks great and feels special inside. Lovely seats, glass roof, still turns heads and is good to drive and it’s held up really well at 140k miles - have had no real non-routine work other than moisture in rear lights.
    I’m looking to replace and would get another Alfa coupe if it had been replaced so this is top of my list - has the same big glass roof and lovely looking seats but also all the technology I don’t have now like good LED headlights as well as a huge step up in performance (2.2 Brera is showing it’s age with performance/economy so this would be less thirsty too despite all the extra shove). Blows my mind how cheap some are
