i so enjoyed watching these clips ,i loved this show when i was younger. fasinating to see how its changed over the years. thanks for shareing your good work.
0:32 Not changed one bit...bar a metal bench in place of the old wooden one....Amazing the old lamp on the wall in the background and brickwork & plaque on the wall are also still present. 0:37 Even the bars on the wall next to the bushes survive today...amazing, and really good to see originality not destroyed/chopped & changed....2:38 You'll notice the bottom part of the launderette..(the mosaic part) still survives in the modern shot....All in all...Excellent work buddy....
I worked on that coroners morgue when it was only empty for a week before we went in.. It had been chemically washed but there was still harsh and very chilling things left behind.. A very big eye opener.. Oh yes me and a friend were doing a light strip on the place,
Thats great! I love the Professionals and its great to see some locations that have not been redeveloped or modified beyond recognition. Sometimes when you see locations 30 years on, its so frightening and sad to see whats happening to London. Great work! when's the next one?? Mark
Love it. Still one of my favourite TV shows. Watched them all when first aired from '78. Klansman was banned, but available on VHS and probably cable showings. I even saw this dubbed into French whilst there in the 80's. Very dynamic, a little dated but, it captured a time. Great duo Bodie and Doyle under orders from Cowley, played by the lovely actor Gordon Jackson. The pair were first seen in The New Avengers 'Obsession', also by Fennell and Clemens. All 57 episodes were far superior to The New Professionals with Edward Woodward as head which wasn't enough to keep it going. Great music by Laurie Johnson all added to a very exciting weekly watch, with appearances by many great actors and all sorts of stories on terrorism, kidnappings, corruption, murders. Doyle and Bodie took them all on.
Thank you for the upload. I have been to the majority of places in the video. I like it when places maintain old architecture and preserve the history. Most of the new developments have no character.
@@Anja_Maria I was very young back in the day when the Professionals used to come on. I was in Nursery as far as I recall but can vaguely remember the theme tune as it was very catchy. Overall a nice piece of British history that defined an era on TV.
I lived in Rhyl Street in the eighties when they filmed using a newsagents on the corner with Malden Road it was pandemonium outside as the public watched outside. Overnight they parked the Capri in Rhyl Street Kentish Town, and I the morning some hooligans had let the tyres down. Thankyou for your lovely video it brings me back to those days.
It's really awesome to see all these places, Some have changed dramatically and at some places, you think that time has stopped about thirty years ago. Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment! :-)
Thanks angelfish for sharing this vid and show us the different locations and how they are now. Great, excellent job. London is so far for me and it,s a pleasure to see this places. Thanks
@targatop1 Thank you very much for your comment! I'm glad you like this vid and I hope I can do another one when I find the time and the money for another trip to London. It would be nice if I could travel to London again next year because I love the city.......and visiting Pros locations is simply fantastic.
I was at Haverstock hill school, other side of that chalk farm station, and the opening titles in the show when there running around metal stairs I worked there in the 90s that bit is still as it was, I was there about 5 years ago moving some old box's how weird is that ...thanks.
Yep, your name has been added to the list, thank you for volunteering :-) ....and thank you for stopping by to watch and comment!! Lots of love and a big hug Anja
PHEW, I'm glad you like it :-) Thanks for watching and commenting and a big thanks for finding the locations and all your help when I was planning my trip!!
London is London - there will always be change but always something's will be the same I visit every few years and will always love the diversity The Pro's are a series that will always have a favourite spot in my life growing up
I worked on Teddington studios too.. Where it was all made.. Professinals.. Trisha.. Vanessa... C4 racing.. Haha they had there own nightclub bar in the basement of the building.. Imagine what went on there back in day
I bet you did, what I would do to walk in the foot steps of the professionals ,your so lucky.it was so good to watch & so well but together, also a good joice of song.love meat loaf ❤️💋 thank you for talking the Time to make .👍
@@dawnnewton5891 Phew, I am glad you liked the song, because I had some complaints about it, but I love MeatLoaf and that trip to London really was a dream come true!
Oh yes, you should really go and have a look!! I wish I lived in London **sighs** Oh, the volunteers....I didn't manage to find the row of graves Doyle and Cowley are walking along at Kensal Green during one of Doyle's visions and as this is a large area to cover, I'm looking for volunteers to help me find them next time I come to London ;-) Thank you very much for stopping by to watch and comment!
@29Amps Thank you very much for stopping by to watch and comment! I love Pros location hunting and that vid is very near and dear to my heart, so I'm very pleased other Pros fans enjoy it as well and take their time to let me know.
Ahh, thanks for letting me know! I'm glad you enjoyed watching the vid as I had a lof of fun doing it (and chasing around in the streets of London to find the locations ) !!
@cam68 Thank you very much for stopping by to watch and comment. I'm so glad you enjoyed the vid. Hmm, that vid didn't require hard work, it was a sheer pleasure to make :-) Thank you very much for your comment on 4shared as well.
Excellent presentation! What I find interesting is that while the structures basically remained the same, two things in particular changed: businesses (laundromat became a boutique(?)) and parked cars (sedans replaced by compact fuel-efficient Cooper Mini-wanabes)! I went to London myself last year (Look for "Stop the Car, Luigi!" on YT) and didn't have as much fun as you did, apparently. Maybe next year when I'm a little more solvent...
@thinnestlizzy I'm really glad you enjoyed this vid as I had a great time doing it and visiting all the locations!! Thank you very much for watching and commenting!
How I used to look forward to every episode,I absolutely adored that series, although I saw them in black and white. Colour TV was too expensive for our family back then, but we were thankful to have TV at all. Times were rather hard for a lot of people, but we came through. This series helped me to get on top of things, and win through. Thanks again for these clips.
Hi Jason, Did you re-enact the scene ;-) ??? It was very exciting for me.....this was my first time in London and the first place I visited was Doyle's flat in DIAG. You should have seen the big grin on my face when I got there :-) I hope I can go to London again next year! Thank you so much for stopping by to watch and comment! All the best Anja
@nylonTS You're more than welcome. I hope I can go back to London again for some more location hunting **keeping fingers crossed** Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment!

I went to wear Lewis Collins born 6 gautby road Birkenhead just ask Google it's a white door with the number 6, I live in Liverpool so I got the train to Birkenhead North, come out the station go right across the road it's the second house on the right, it's flats now, I don't know whether it was a house when Louis was born
Okay, as a 10 year old girl, I would have been standing outside the launderette fidgeting like crazy and impatiently waiting for my aunt to come out again. As a 40 year old Pros buff, I had a happy smile on my face! :-) Thanks for stopping by to watch and comment!
My apologies! That video was removed, but I'll post another one that's still on RUclips on a personal message to you. Again thank you for letting us see your travellogue.

Note that the 2CV van turns up outside the flat and the graveyard on the road. I suspect this was a crew equipment/filming vehicle
