Fantastic video Tudor well put together and Wow what a start at 1:30 with the police car and the poor lad on his bike.....Very enjoyable and l👀king forward to plenty more........Great stuff.....Cheers from Phil
I think the Police were watching a particular member of the public walking on the bridge and had to do a quick turn around. Trouble is they just decided a UTurn on tower bridge. Certainly not something I’d consider trying. Then following the incident, no one hung around to exchange details!
I love each and every video you do on The Beatles, you put in so much time and effort and for me so far away in Australia it’s like having my own tour guide. Cheers Paul.
thank you! When I was with school in London and Cambridge for a week we had just a free afteroon to go around so I had to go to Abbey Road of course. I just became a big Beatles fan after listenting to them for some years. But on every corner I imagined the Beatles where there and took pics. When I was back on train at St. Pancreas I tought looking into the park for a second "that looks like that park where they took pics on the mad day out" I just wanted to imagine it. And doing some research later I realized it was really that park. It felt great.
Fantastic video thank you! I was fortunate enough to get to St Pancras Old Church on a beautiful Tuesday in April to see some of these locations. Can highly recommend it to all Beatles fans!
Love this. I'm in London for a few days for the blur Wembley gigs. I'm definitely going to do some Beatles London spots. Hopefully a spot of lunch on the mad day out bench!
Hi Tudor, well done, another great video. As always a pleasure to watch. Nice to see you out and about again !!!. Looking forward to the next one, all the best, kev chatterley.
Great video! Loads of pics used I hadn’t seen before. Have visited St Pancras Old Church several times and also Old Street station in about 2011 - all I could trace even then was the office block featured in the background. However, you can see more of the Wapping river pictures by taking a boat along the Thames, including the ramp down to the water.
It’s funny. Before researching for the video, I was only aware of a few pictures. Now I’ve connected the dots (for myself anyway) I can see how those pictures fit together. You should see the many many I left out of the video. A quick google of “A mad day out” and select images and you’ll enter a rabbit hole 🤣
Evening Tudor loved the footage I did the mad day out my self ,but not all of it so I thank you .I met the artist who designed the statue of the four Beatles stood on top of the old street round about I bought his book he was signing that day at old street underground . Before it shut for upgrading. it was a fab day so this footage is great .
Even though I was 13 back then and thought I saw all photos Beatles, some of these photos, to me, are my first time viewing them. (Sacramento, California...here) Great resource video!
THANK YOU for this amazing heart warming video. The clip at 19:07 in the "garden"....I have that poster!!! And always wondered where it was taken. It will mean so much more now with your efforts to show it. Blessings from Az., great job and again thank you!!!
My efforts lol. I tried my best. Actually I do appreciate your comment and I’m glad I was able to show the location and that perhaps it brought it to life for you 🙏
Your efforts are much appreciated . Love how you superimposed yourself on those St. Pancras sections! I went by one of those sites without even knowing of it so I thank you for the information on the site. I was also lucky enough to see Paul's house with the gates open and talked to the housekeeper at the time and we were able to do some video of her and the entrance to that house - that was great timing ! Enjoy always your videos and catch you on the next one !!!
Wonderful idea for a video! I recall as a kid getting the Red album and that studying that gatefold photo - great to actually see the location. And several photos I've never seen!
Wonderful video, Tudor. I always learn something from them. My family & I are planning to stop at St. Pancras on our first trip to London at the end of July. Those are definitely the most iconic images taken on that long ago day. The photo of the group (& Yoko!) mingled in with the crowd is one of my favorite images of The Beatles. What a shame many of the locations have changed (e.g. Old Street Roundabout) or are inaccessible (river access at Wapping Pier Head). You did a splendid job regardless. Thank you. Cheers from America!
circa 19:07 this beatles' photo shoot is very beautiful with pink and white flowers (might be 'タチアオイ[tachi-aoi]' in japanese). which have blossoms in may to june. this video is very vey nice. thank you so much. [とても素敵です。ありがとうございました。そして、ごくろうさまでした。]

I've been past all of those places at some point over the years but never taken the trouble to photograph them, or in many cases, even stop and look. There are so many interesting Beatles related locations in London, you could probably get several months worth of content filming them! One thing that puzzles me about Paul's geodesic dome is that the floor seems to be at a different level in some of the shots. Actually , what even is a geodesic dome? Thanks again for taking the trouble to put this all together.
Sadly not - I was there on a Saturday. Any future London fillings will definitely take place on a Sunday - and early too. Regarding the geodesic dome (a place for reflection and meditation apparently), I wonder if the floor can lift and drop. Some pictures clearly show it.
And you happening to catch the run-in between the police car and the cyclist early in the video - solid gold, Mr Smith! I love watching your videos tracing the Fabs footsteps. Came across the Knole Park/Strawberry Fields video a while back, and that hooked me in. I think I've seen pretty much every other video since, so wishing you well and keep up the good work, fella. Very entertaining, especially for a Beatles nut like me....!
I considered not showing the collision but then I thought...nah it's real life right. So I blurred the number plate at least. Thanks for being part of my Beatles video journey.

Great video Tudor! I noticed Yoko standing in front of John in the picture where the lads are mingling with the crowd. Do you think that Yoko's constant presence may have been one of the causes of the stress they were experiencing while recording the White Album?
I do think she was a hindrance, especially when John and Paul used to bounce off each other to make things work musically. Yoko took that focus away and it must have been frustrating for Paul
Enjoyable as always. The band's last cheerful sojourn for a photoshoot, I believe. No idea why that police car at 1:20 was acting so erratically, though. No lights or siren - how was the cyclist meant to see it from behind the other vehicles? If it had been an ordinary driver doing that and the police had spotted them, there would have been consequences. You mention below that they seemed to be watching someone on the bridge. No excuse. You don't need to suddenly veer across the road, and ram a cyclist, to do that. 6:58 The Inner Light, you might say!
This year we will visited London, St. Pancras is definitly one destination . As a huge Beatles fan, I can't explain how much anticipation i feel. For me it's holy ground, walking were once the Beatles have their mad day. I think i have neatly all the pictures, so i can recreate this pictures. And yes, I think i am little bit obsessed about the Beatles😅😅😅. Many greetings from Hamburg.
Love these walkabouts with the overlaying!... Thank you Tudor!🙏 Being a watch affectionado, I also noticed your orange dial watch... can you tell me what is the watch you're wearing?👍✌️⌚️
BTW the watch is a Seiko 5 Sport. A gift from my son as he’d remembered me talking about always wanting an orange faced watch 😊 and the only watch brand I’ve chosen to wear since being a young teenager is Seiko
@@TudorSmith Nice watch ... I love Seiko and the fact that it's a gift from your son makes it even better! You say running out of Ideas!... Would like to see walkabouts about Winston Churchill and wwII and the History of the U.K. if possible... but dunno that may be for another channel!? At any rate, Love all that you do ! Thank you for your efforts!🤗 ..
Hello Tudor! Beatles 4ever !!!
Google translate helped me read your message. Thanks for taking the time to write and thank you for watching and coming along on my Beatle adventures 👍
Hi Tudor, love your work here .. a question of a technical nature..in alot of your videos you have a link to another of your earlier videos, so you might say " click on the link appearing now to see that video" ..how do you do that, what is that function called, do you do it in the video editing software or on youube ? Sorry was trying to think who does this a bit in their vids, remembered you do xxx Thank you
Hi thanks for asking. Once my video is ready to be released, I view it in RUclips studio and in the Details section, I select “Cards”. It opens a new window and allows me to insert a card (link) at any point on the time line. You can search YT for a tutorial on inserting cards. There are many 👍
That was super Tudor, except I can't believe you didn't break into Paul's house to superimpose yourself on the geodesic dome! Do we know why the Beatles didn't go into Highgate cemetery to stand in front of Karl Marx's grave? Surely they had the 1968 equivalent of a tenner. They definitely missed a trick there considering the other monuments they could have posed by. I do love the St. Pancras Old Church part of the Mad Day Out though, especially when the photos feature "ordinary" people, especially the kids. What a thrill it must have been for them.
I should have (starts singing *he broke into the geodesic window*) 🤣 Don was wise to include all those people at St Pancras but then as a war time photographer he was used to photographing people but to get the Beatles mingling with the crowd was inspired! I wonder if the folk got paid for having their images forever immortalised on the inside of Beatles covers?
People under 30, do you listen to classic rock from 1955-1980? That was 60 years ago! For an experiment, ask people that grew up then, if they were listening to music from the 1890s, and watch the looks they give you.
GREAT JOB! These are seldom seen but much loved images here in the U.S. Known, loved, but not exactly standard fare over here. If I ever make it to England you can be my tour guide! LOL! Very much enjoyed it.
My Dad (3rd from right next to GH) and Aunt (girl in pink) are in the image. I'm thinking of reaching out to try and find those still alive and re-enact the photo.
I as an above average Beatles' fan am amazed at how many Beatles pictures I have never seen, there must be a million pro pics out there? PS Please sort out the crackling audio problems that were prevalent through out this vid for future productions.
It’s just a free audio sample from the RUclips audio library. I can use it because it’s royalty free and doesn’t incur copyright strikes. But you’re right, it’s not quite on point 🥁 🤣

Yes it was all very strange so I just kept the footage in. Inner light - I like that 🤣
What was the police car doing?!?! Nice Macca impression. I didn't know he was from Tamworth 😅
I was never that good at a scouser accent 🤣
@@TudorSmith You did a cracking job of getting around those locations. Well done. I found it extremely enjoyable to watch.
It was fun apart from the London traffic. Next time I’ll be doing it on a Sunday 👍
Very Nice!
Thanks 🙌
This year we will visited London, St. Pancras is definitly one destination . As a huge Beatles fan, I can't explain how much anticipation i feel. For me it's holy ground, walking were once the Beatles have their mad day. I think i have neatly all the pictures, so i can recreate this pictures. And yes, I think i am little bit obsessed about the Beatles😅😅😅. Many greetings from Hamburg.
Sounds like you,ve got it all planned out. I’m sure you’ll have a fab day out 🤣
Love these walkabouts with the overlaying!... Thank you Tudor!🙏 Being a watch affectionado, I also noticed your orange dial watch... can you tell me what is the watch you're wearing?👍✌️⌚️
I love making the walkabouts - but I’m running out of ideas now 🙁
BTW the watch is a Seiko 5 Sport.
Btw i saw your vids about standing stones and really liked that to!... Would like to see walkabouts about Winston Churchill and wwII and the History of the U.K. if possible... but dunno that may be for another channel!? At any rate, Love all that you do ! Thank you for your efforts!🤗
..
Sounds like a plan 👍
Excellent. BTW The tall plants are Bears Breeches (Acanthus Mollis) but they are Hollyhocks in the original pictures.
Thanks for the info! So the gardeners have changed the flowers eh? Bears breeches! Sounds funny 😂
Hello Tudor!
Beatles 4ever !!!
Google translate helped me read your message. Thanks for taking the time to write and thank you for watching and coming along on my Beatle adventures 👍
@@TudorSmith 👍
The random house they were photographed in front of looks pretty similar to Aunt Mimi's place, John's childhood home.
Now that you mention it, they do look similar. I wonder if that might have been why they chose it?
@@TudorSmith I think it's possible, John's smile
Hi Tudor, love your work here .. a question of a technical nature..in alot of your videos you have a link to another of your earlier videos, so you might say " click on the link appearing now to see that video" ..how do you do that, what is that function called, do you do it in the video editing software or on youube ?
Sorry was trying to think who does this a bit in their vids, remembered you do xxx
Thank you
Hi thanks for asking.
I should have (starts singing *he broke into the geodesic window*) 🤣
Don was wise to include all those people at St Pancras but then as a war time photographer he was used to photographing people but to get the Beatles mingling with the crowd was inspired! I wonder if the folk got paid for having their images forever immortalised on the inside of Beatles covers?
Here we go
Roll up rollup for the mystery tour!
@@TudorSmith I’m singing that in my head now! 🤣
8:04 could be the street where they filmed A Hard Days Night Ringo strolling around with his camera...
I've not seen that movie in such a long time....but I reckon a video on on the london locations would make for something interesting to watch!
Wow that’s amazing! You should try and make contact with others. Thanks for sharing!
I as an above average Beatles' fan am amazed at how many Beatles pictures I have never seen, there must be a million pro pics out there? PS Please sort out the crackling audio problems that were prevalent through out this vid for future productions.
Yeah the mic was playing up. I only noticed it after doing the video and I wasn’t planning to redo the whole day!
Who’s playing the drums on the sound track? Think he needs sacking. All over the shop 😅 great video though!! The tube map is very helpful
It’s just a free audio sample from the RUclips audio library. I can use it because it’s royalty free and doesn’t incur copyright strikes. But you’re right, it’s not quite on point 🥁 🤣
