Minute 2:31 that black piece where did you screw it on to the side fairing ? Or where I’m stuck on the side part nd I don’t know where that black peice goes
That goes on the inside of the main side fairing. It’s the part that points out the farthest. It’s so you don’t see blank hollow fairing from a lower side view of the bike. Hope this helps!
Nzxt is mainly a eBay brand so you should find them on there. Just the thing I have run into in the past is even though you think all Chinese after market fairing are the same. They are not I got a cheap set for a cbr I rebuild, snapped in multiple places when mounting, this r6 set was actually quite flexible and bending, but it melted almost immediately in some spots. I have used monster fairing a couple of times yes it’s a bit long of a wait but the quality is there…. NOT OEM but good lol
Hey man out of curiosity, how did you install the middle bolt all the way at the bottom? (Like the long one) I keep having issues installing it on my bike
Fairings can be tricky, if you put in the work and fabrication you can make anything fit. But as for just bolt on I think you would have to do the whole front end (nose fairing, side/mid fairings and lower fairings.) in order to get the look you want, search through some different R6 forums and I bet there are people out there doing what you want to do already. Good luck! Here’s a link to a R6 forum: www.r6-forum.com/forums/appearance-and-exterior-mods.50/
None of them had threads, there were the types of holes 1) small circular openings for a screw to grip the plastic and “screw into it” 2) slightly bigger circular holes for plastic push pin style rivets 3) larger square shaped holes for a threaded clipto attach to, those clips have metal threads that lets an actual bolt to screw into. But no actual threads are on the plastics themselves, that’s why you need a certain fairing bolt kit to go with a set like the r6. Hope that helps.
This zxmt was a decent budget set, good fitment and no missing or broken connectors but I feel like monster fairings out of those three are the best quality, I have had two custom sets from monster fairings and they were pretty nice.
They’re pretty good! I only had one tab break but it was my fault, they do need extra heat shielding near the exhaust because they deformed a bit even after putting on the provided stick on foam heat shielding, but for the price they are totally worth it when you compare them to oem.
I found mine from nt-fairings when they where on amazon but I don't see them anymore but here's their website: www.nt-fairing.com/products/complete-fairing-bolts-kit-fit-for-yamaha-yzf-r6-yzfr1-1998-2014-yzf6s-2002-2008-03-07-black-red-green-blue-silver-gold?_pos=1&_sid=113f26586&_ss=r&variant=28425204957261
I know anything is possible with body work, but as for quick bolt on, that's a no sadly. because the intake shape, fairing stay and all the fairing bolt hole locations are different. But again if there is a will there is a way!
Heat shield is going to be put on, but I got too excited and just wanted to mount them up. But... because of that, the bottom section got a little hot and drooped a bit but that was my fault not the fairings lol
The fairings themselves were good I had no issues but if you do not have any idea on how they go together then you would be in trouble because neither the fairings or bolt kit came with instructions. But I was happy with the over all purchase of the set.
Yea it was kinda a quick overview sorry about that just pause your way though. But over all if it’s got a tab with a hole in it, that gets a u-clip and a bolt but if it’s a plastic prong with a hole in it, it likely gets a screw to secure another part of the fairing to it. Hope this helps
You are the man. Thank you for this. Ride safe and have a good life brother.
Thanks man! I know it’s not a true step by step and more of a brief overview but glad it helped.
Great video! I got so excited when I saw that you had posted haha keep up the great work, the bike is looking great!
Thanks! Ya I'm slowly but surely editing the videos together lol

Any recommendations?

Are you talking about the one that screws in near the kick stand or the one on the bottom rear or bottom front ?
It like the bottom middle, it the long screw right underneath the crankcase cover
I am trying to figure out the proper alignment to get the bolt in but every time i do it the fairing is a little to high and off to the left
I’m missing a ton of hardware for my Chinese fairings. Any idea where I can get a kit for it? Thank you
Yea amazon sells cheap bolt kits and there is also places that sell full on titanium kits like probolt.
Nice this is perfect, my new fairings came in and don’t want to pay to have them installed😂
Glad I could help
Can R6 2010 fairing use only mid fairing r6 07. Coz i really like the mid fairing 07

@Mending Motos link to fairings is broken can you update?
Thanks for the heads up! All fixed
@@mendingmotos was there a reason you chose these over the others branded "ZXMT". Also how are these holding up? Thank you in advance.
did all the holes have thread or did you have to drill threads , or did you force the screws in ?
None of them had threads, there were the types of holes 1) small circular openings for a screw to grip the plastic and “screw into it” 2) slightly bigger circular holes for plastic push pin style rivets 3) larger square shaped holes for a threaded clipto attach to, those clips have metal threads that lets an actual bolt to screw into. How was the fit of the ZXMT? I heard somewhere that they are monster and NT fairings and other big brands supplier
This zxmt was a decent budget set, good fitment and no missing or broken connectors but I feel like monster fairings out of those three are the best quality, I have had two custom sets from monster fairings and they were pretty nice.
you didnt change any electronics? after no use for such a long time , only battery drained?
Yahhhh there were a few electronic gremlins as well as the battery lol that's coming up!
Paint?
No paint on this one, it was just the abs plastic unpainted white. This was a budget build
Where can you find the bolts for the fairings replacements
I found mine here: www.nt-fairing.com/collections/fairing-bolt-kits
Hi Mate. What's the quality like please?

Are those painted?
No these are the white unpainted panels but they past the 2 foot rule and look like clean gloss white fairings
What was your shipping time from payment to doorstep?
I got these through a seller on Amazon and it seemed to be US stock cause it only took 3 days.
@@mendingmotos oh nice!!! I spoke to the people at AuMotorFairings and they said it would be like 6-8 weeks. 😬

Too bad they don’t make a Chinese tank. Paid $380 for a new one.
