George Duke & Napoleon Murphy Brock about Frank Zappa (Re-Upped)

Another excerpt from Frank Scheffer's documentary "Frank Zappa, A Pioneer Of The Future Of Music" as broadcast by VPRO's "Het uur van de Wolf" in the Netherlands April 22, 2007. Dutch (hard) subbed.
I took this offline years ago, because of some crazy hate towards George Duke (RIP); it got nasty. Never understood why..

Best Zappa era for me. George Duke and NMB are just brilliant combined with Frank. Ruth too! Soundtrack of my life. Musical taste kind of comes in waves but Zappa is what I have always listened to. There’s always so much going on.

"One Size Fits All" still is "my" Zappa-album. When I'm stuck composing sometimes and I think: ‘You can't do it like this’, then I put on ‘Inca Roads’ for a moment and then I think: ‘Why shouldn't I be able to do it like this?’ Frank Zappa's music frees me from all conventions when things get too narrow for me or threaten to become a one-way street. It's simply amazing what he has achieved and what an incredibly good band he had at the time of ‘One Size Fits All’. I'm always thrilled.
