Rahul Dravid on Scoring Centuries | The Long Game | CRED
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 13 окт 2021
- Mr Dependable. The Wall. Shielding batters from the new ball. Putting bowlers on the back foot with his own back foot shots. Rahul Dravid wouldn't leave the pitch without scoring a century. Or at least trying. Watch him reveal lessons and insights from his game and the one thing he finds most stressful.
The Long Game is a series featuring six renowned cricketers and coaches who share their journey and the wisdom they gained, both on and off the pitch over the years. Take some inspiration from their stories, perhaps a lesson or two from their life.

I want to thank Sanjay Manjrekar whole heartedly for failing the fitness test.
😂😂🔥
I hope he fails commentary test too (there isn't one tho) & we get Dravid on mic.
He should be now tested for mental fitness and hopefully he get disqualified as a commentator. I am still pissed at what he said during the last World Cup.

For those who disliked this video here's a quote from Brett Lee
"If you can't get along with Dravid. You're struggling in Life"
They need help...!!
They might be Sachin fans who can't get over his innings of 194
@@shivamkansal4432 my fav batsman is Sachin sir but my fav cricketer is Dravid garu. Dravid sir is the most selfless cricketer ever.
I also love Hayden's quote, even if not fully in context here. "All this pseudo-machoism going around isn't anything, if you want to see aggression on the field, look into Rahul Dravid's eyes".
i had seen on twitter… there are even ppl who hate him… coz he went to an event where an rss person was the chief guest… i mean, just look at the hate ppl have in them… due to their ideologies, they even end up hating dravid…
Listening and watching Rahul Dravid is like meditation. Calms you down and makes you believe this world is still a pleasant place to be..

I had the opportunity to meet him 2 weeks ago in Bengaluru. He was present as the event was about felicitating our Paralympians who made India proud in Tokyo. No paparazzi, No suit, No tie, No showoff. Just Mr Dravid wearing a formal shirt (with sleeves folded ) and jeans. Apparently I heard he purposely wanted to keep the ceremony private so that all the attention and talk should be towards the paralympic athletes and not at him. If you don't know he is also one of the main people behind GoSports Foundation, a non profit venture based out of Bengaluru that supports athletes, who had organized the event. Towards the end of the felicitation my friend asked him "Sir one photo". Initially he said "Can I eat something first and then take". But then I don't know what happened. He came and said "Okay, let's go" and i had my fan moment with a pic with him. Truly a remarkable athlete , humble person, a legend of the game.
Share that pic man!

This is my dream too...to meet Rahul Dravid in person and shake hands with him....The wolf who lived for the pack,... hopefully someday, I get to meet him !
7:21 "When you look at the timeline you see some success and lot of failure" this line gives you an idea of how down to earth and humble human being he is...Dravid is ❤️❤️
Lessons from Rahul Dravid
1. Keep your feet firmly on the ground
2. Work hard, keep believing in your dreams, dreams do come true
3. Stay focused right till the end and never get complacent
4. You can never be sure how your opportunity is going to come or when your chance will come, but when it does, hopefully you are prepared and ready and that's the only thing in your control
5. Find ways to contribute to the team, find ways to do things that are probably not expected of you or that's not your main skill. and if that makes the team better and helps you perform you as a group, as a team, then it's a great sacrifice to make and gives you a lot of satisfaction
6. When you are surrounded by great players, it wants you sort of challenge yourself and you want to compete with them and earn your respect, so it really inspires your to try and do your best
7. With young people today, you have to create a collaborative environment in which you have to recognize that they have incredible knowledge and experience
8. In life you are going to have a lot of ups and downs. It is important to keep going foward and learn from those experiences. You cant always control the results, but you can control your preparation

Rahul Dravid is probably the most respected cricketer by the younger and the older generation alike.
Literally no haters.
what are you saying? todays chapri dont know who he is. chapris worshipping some pant or someone else for one inning standing in one test match.
Pant is a decent test player. Pandya never is fit for international cricket.
Sachin is a great cricketer. But Dravid is a man of integrity, character, humility and a great cricketer as well.
Being a 90's kid, grew up idolising Sachin. But now as an adult when I look at the bigger picture considering every facet both inside and outside cricket, cant help but feel how under rated an idol Dravid was and still is. Today if I have to choose between a wish to meet either of them I would pick Dravid, every single time.
The best thing happened to INDIAN cricket is Dravid garu
I feel good that I idolise him since 90s.
Man of integrity puppet of chappel main reason for India poor show in 2007 wc , always jealous of Sachin and ganguly

WOW .
I've Been Fortunate to be from the same school as he is from, and I was given to do the honours, indeed this man of at most virtues. Something That I'd Never Forget 🙌
Congrats man, i too would have tried to meet him back then except i was not born at that time. ÷)
Still feel sad for the 2003 World Cup final loss to Australia. That team deserved a World Cup trophy.
The way he is placing all the cards in proper fashion.... he is so organised ❤️

When I see this guy, I can't stop those old golden memories flashing back inside my head. When the famous trio of Saurav, Sachin and Dravid used to be Literally the whole Indian team, which was well supported by Lakshman and Sehwag..
Even though Sachin was my childhood superhero but Rahul Dravid is some one whom I would like to emulate as a role model in my personal life.
Same bro Sachin sir is my fav but there is much more feeling for Dravid garu
That he drew the lesson of humility from incorrect name being printed, speaks volumes about the person he is. So inspiring and entertaining (courtesy his sense of humour) to hear him speak!
Damn Man!! Everytime I listen to this person, I feel like crying. The way he speaks, his humbleness, the success and failure stories of his life gives so much of motivation to do good. Wish someday I could meet him. A man I admire the most. RAHUL DRAVID SIR YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION. THANK YOU. WISHING YOU LOTS OF HAPPINESS AND GOOD HEALTH.
This man. Since the time I started watching him play, I just have one goal in life and that is to pursue excellence and serve my profession the way this man served his team and his profession. LEGEND.

True legend and gentleman, thank you so much for the wonderful memories. Wall😍
Correction :"The Wall of Indian cricket"
Cricket became called as "The Gentleman's game", maybe because the game itself had a prophecy, many years ago, that Rahul Dravid will pick it up!
This man has different vibe♥️
Mr Jam❤
The Wall❤❤
The Rahul Dravid❤❤❤
CREDible and Dependable. A great association! Many of us can only dream to achieve even 1% of the success Sir Rahul Dravid has achieved. Humility and Humbleness seems to comes naturally to Dravid like his traditional Cover Drive but I am sure this also like his batting comes from the lessons learnt and the mantra of Practice, Practice, Practice. Grace.
Respect is an instinctive virtue that follows a man when even a single incident of losing his cool is actually sensational news. These days, it's quite contrary. Displaying aggression through their batting/bowling is such a rarity these days. This guy showed the world how to do it which now is a lost artform.
Agreed mate!
He is a Master of the game and he defines cricket as Gentleman game❤
Can listen him all day.
Really privileged to be a witness of Rahul Dravid's entry and exit from team India as well as his superhuman humility to be able carry himself in a fashion that he really does which I could only dream of, in my next life or beyond. A true maestro of India cricket indeed.
Great to see Rahul Dravid finally getting the love and recognition he always deserved. Great man, great lessons!! Thank you Cred!👍
Being a 90's kid, most of us had Sachin as our idol and there was this guy constantly working without coming in the limelight he deserved..now coaching the young talent...Jammy, many of your fans would always want to see you in some or other role related to Indian Cricket..as Matthew Hayden once said "All these things going around is not called aggression. If you really want to see aggression, look into Dravid s eyes"
One of the best cricketers , most humble person , a great human and an absolute legend. Hats off to the wall!
I am literally crying..he is my child hood icon 😢
Dravid was the first cricketer I watched playing cricket. When I was 5 I remember I used to have dreams about Dravid scoring centuries for India.
Started seriously watching cricket during the 2011 WC. So the England tour is one of the most prominent memories of mine. And seeing just one guy standing up there amid the felling of the no.1 ranked team imprinted this Wall image in my mind. Truly a great!
When sir speaks, you are mesmerised.

Rahul sir
I still remember
After 2011 world cup, when india was on England tour, how drastically team struggled to score and any batsmen other than you even Can't reach near hundred
And you are the only batsman from indian side who scored 3 hundreds in whole series and you also got special player of the series for that
And in 2012 also, when you struggled in Australia, you realised that now it is time for new generations for taking up and you retired after that
May be many cricketers come and go but the image, aura and legacy you create in cricket world, we can't never witnessed it again
