the right side seems to be easier to understand. it would really be interesting to have the same video with the right side starting first to see if it's important if the first conversation ins just being pushed to the background or if the second one is more prominently spoken in this example

The left guy didn't really say anything. Was umming and erring and something about magic.
I could zone the left out while listening to the right but when actively trying to hear the left my brain kept making me hear the right which actually made sense...

The right side has a more distinct voice. The other clip on the left sounds like its going on a ramble and get drowned out by the right side

Huh, I'm sure I'm not the first person to notice this, but it is much, much easier to follow one side if you're actually looking at it.

This video is not the most accurate example of this effect, there shouldn't be any visual properity

I suspect having one speaker (thus generally the same frequency range) for both parts makes it harder than if there were two speakers.

Yeah, I have no clue what either of you saying. I guess this example is for people that actually experience it :(

lol so is the pt of this to show that you can only pay attention to one person here? At least thats what im assuming this effect is considered. Good job if it is because I can only listen to one...
