Great plans! You were the reason Karen and I decided to try Slow Travel for FOUR months in the Off season in Southern Europe - Albufeira, Alicante, Antalya, Istanbul, Split, Lisbon! We are nearing the end of our 5 weeks in the Algarve....LOVING it here! Loule is our favorite town so far, then Sagres. Still to see Lagos next week and Portimao. We've done Tavira, Albufeira, Silves, Sagres, Loule. We found we needed a small car to help get around. THANK YOU for introducing us to Slow Travel!!!
I have been following you since the beginning. My husband and I live overseas and travel around a lot. However, once he retires this Spring we plan to slow travel around the world. We’ve been planning this for about 8 years and the time has finally arrived. I have loved watching you guys and have been living vicariously through you. I get a lot of value from your videos and think you both balance each other well. I’ve taken a lot of your tips which has made our travels easier- for instance we went on the Mon Cheri cruise to see Halong Bay & loved it! Since we live in Japan currently we have visited Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea and Taiwan soon. The videos you’ve made on some of these places has made it fun to get a preview and helped to set our expectations. I think your videos have come along way and I enjoy being along for the ride on your adventures. Funny thing is this summer we will be going to Argentina and I will be looking forward to your videos of Buenos Aires and around. Sad because I was hoping to have a meet up with you but I hope eventually our paths will cross.
You could spend 3 months in Chile easily. The entire country (each region) is connected by express bus. They are affordable and comfortable. I recommend putting San Pedro de Atacama on your list and don't forget the wineries near Santiago. Chile has everything, beaches, volcanoes, mountains, unique towns etc. I hope you love it! I know I did.
Have you thought of Cuenca Ecuador? It’s up in the beautiful Andes Mountains. The weather is temperate with almost no rain. Stunning architecture. Lots to see and do. We stayed the winter at Apartemenos Otorango. Cute apartments. Budget friendly. Maid service. On the Tomabamba River. Just a short walk into town. Drop off laundry service nearby. Markets. Grocery store a $2US taxi ride home. The owners are great and will arrange tours for you if you like but there is a ton of stuff to see and do in town. Don’t miss the zoo!! It’s more of an animal rescue. But take a taxi to it. It’s up on a mountain but there’s plenty of walking inside the zoo. Good wifi. Airport and bus station in town. And it is very safe. The problems in Ecuador are down on the beaches. 5 or 6 hours away.
I liked Ecuador, traveled to Cuenca just before pandemic. It is really nice place. But recently heard of many crime situations happening there, all over the place in larger cities. Maybe Cuenca is not affected, but things changed…
Hey guys, exciting year ahead! Can't wait to see what you discover in Argentina & Chile. For your open 3-month window in late spring/early summer, have you considered Northern Europe? Scandinavian countries are obviously pretty expensive, but you could instead visit the much more affordable Baltic states (we absolutely LOVE that region) - hopefully, towards the end of that window when the weather is nicer and you get those never ending hours of daylight. You could also compliment Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania with a bit of time in Poland, Slovakia and/or Northern Germany at the start of those three months. Merry Christmas to you, and all the best wishes for 2025!
Exciting plans! My wife and I are 1 year behind you to be on an Antarctica cruise. Looking forward to your video updates. Merry Christmas, Brian and Carrie!
Wow your South American trip sounds like a dream! I’d love to see you go to France! Love how you stay focused in your videos. Happy holidays and new year!
Hey guys. Enjoyed your 2025 plans. One suggestion while in South America I have is Colombia. My wife and I stayed in Bogota near Parque 93. Highly recommend this area as it was beautiful and very central as well as safe. Not saying we experienced any area not being safe while in Colombia whenever we went but this area was awesome. Family friendly and the central park, Parque 93, was great. Many restaurants and bars and other places to visit. We found Taxi rides are easy and inexpensive also. We also then flew to Cartagena for a few days and stayed in the Centro. Again, across the main central park and was also beautiful. This is a gorgeous place to visit and very historical and beautiful. The main thing I must warn you about is that it is very touristy and we did not enjoy that. I suggest going out a bit from the touristy areas and definitely do some excursions, if you can, outside of the main areas to really enjoy the burbs and the countryside. Well, I hope this helps and keep on going!! Cheers! 🍻
If you visit Cusco, I suggest heading straight from Cusco Airport to Ollantaytambo and staying there for at least three days to acclimate to the high altitude. From Ollantaytambo, you can take a day trip to Machu Picchu. Ollantaytambo is a charming village worth exploring. Once you are done in Ollantaytambo, travel to Cusco by car, stopping along the way to visit Moray, Maras, Chinchero, and Pisac. I recommend arranging a taxi through Taxidatum for both the transfer from Cusco Airport to Ollantaytambo and the return trip to Cusco. For the train to Machu Picchu from Ollantaytambo, make sure to book in advance after purchasing your Machu Picchu ticket from the official website. Avoid third-party websites for bookings.
I forgot to mention Santiago in my previous post. We spent two weeks there while in Chile for two months. I loved it, though there are fewer “things to do” compared to Buenos Aires-but for slow travel that suited me. Are you traveling by bus from Mendoza? I don’t remember if you mentioned your mode of transportation. The ride through the Andes was one of my favorite bus rides ever! While in the Capitol, perhaps do a day or overnight trip to Valparaiso (gorgeous). SkyCostanera was a phenomenal panorama. The Plaza de Armas is fun. Consider the funicular to a great view. We stayed in Barrio Bellavista, the “bohemian” neighborhood. It’s a lot of fun. Even if you don’t stay there, check it out for the restaurants and plentiful places for Brian to have a beer.
To illustrate the joy you have in life, you could include a video clip or still shot of other daily activities. Like enjoying that super kitchen, the huge table, comfy couch or delightful pool in your last place. A dramatic reenactment of a nap! To show folks the joy of simple things while traveling.
I was one of the ones who mentioned Barranca neighborhood instead of Miraflores Peru in a previous video. I feel like I know you guys and I think you would like it better AND it joins Miraflores. A beautiful cliff side walkway overlooking the ocean in both neighborhoods. Easy to walk between the two, which I did everyday for a month. Beautiful, modern and dirt cheap accommodations.
You inspired me to become a slow traveler after I retired last Marchand it has been an incredible experience so far. Thank you! I wasrecently in Argentina and it was my favorite country in South America so far. Buenos Aires has the look and feel of a European city . I stay in Recoleta where the architecture is like Paris. The people are friendly very welcoming. The food, especially if you like meat, was the best beef I have ever had (asado). Good to try: Dulce de leche, Choripán, empanadas, perhaps the best pizza in the world and of course meat. You’ll love it! Enjoy and have fun!
Thank you for all the great content this year. I love watching your videos and look forward to them. For your month of workcation - Costa Rica is a good option. Beautiful, relaxing, gorgeous beaches, fantastic fresh food and a slow pace that is ideal for getting work done. Merry Christmas and Cheers!!
Iguazú is a must-see and from both Argentina and Brazil sides. Two totally different views so both are absolutely required. I love Iguazú ... IMHO it's better than the Grand Canyon and the Red Rocks of Arizona.
Have you considered traveling to Ecuador? The city of Cuenca is lovely…is in the mountains, though not the coast, and very safe. Ecuador is quite inexpensive and they use the US dollar. I have gone there nearly every year for the past 50 years. I love the place!!
We spent a few months last year in Argentina. Trust me when I say don't skip Corte Comedor for a great steak dinner. Recommended by a local and much better than the touristy, famous places that we also tried (like Don Julio). Fogon was the best steak of my life, but you pay for it! We moved B.A. Mendoza, not so much. Patagonia is an absolute DON'T SKIP! As far as Peru, we spent 2 months there last year as well. Mira Flores is the place to stay in Lima. Lima is a chaotic big city, so be prepared for that. Cusco is also a great place. Spend at least a couple days there. M.P. is incredible. If you are considering Brazil at all, look into Jericoacoara. Super fun beach town and very safe for Brazilian standards (it's a town in the middle of a national park and far from dangerous cities).
Just want you both to know that you have helped my wife and I realize that we could travel outside the US on a budget. We usually travel in the US full-time by RV, but now we've added international travel too.
We just finished six months slow travel through South America. While in Argentina, Buenos Aires is a must (especially for this city guy), but Mendoza and Cordoba are wonderful smaller cities that would be ideal for workcation. Patagonia is a dream trip, but keep in mind the far away location makes living there expensive. In Peru, all the Inca cities are exquisite. But Arequipa would be an ideal place to settle down for awhile. I love Cuzco and Machu Picchu, but they are tourist delights, less a workcation. And dont miss the falls! Whatever you decide, you will love it.
Look forward to the next three months of videos. The exact same trip will be in our future. Looked up the Antarctica cruise. What a great price for 17 days.
So excited to see your videos from Argentina. I have been following you since your Valencia trip. Thank you for what you bring to the travelers community!
As recently retired travelers we have enjoyed and valued your channel for several years. Thank you. On your Peru plans I have been to Machu and would suggest you consider spending a night or 2 in Ollantaytambo on the way to Machu. It has some impressive ruins right in town and a good choice of accommodations and restaurants. It's a lived in local vibe occupied historical village that I enjoyed nearly as much as Machu. It's also the start of the best train section to Aguas Calientes and Machu. We also spontaneously hired a driver there for cheap who took us to the major sites like Moray and the Salt Mines which are nearby.
When in Peru go to Arequipa In the south of Peru. Then you can take a bus to Lake Titicaca on the way to Cusco. Then spend a.few.days in the Scared Valley in the town of Ollantaytambo there you can a train to Machu Picchu and after base yourself in Cusco. Have fun
We really like hearing from you and your experiences, even if you are sitting down. When we watch some friendly faces it doesn’t matter if they are sitting down. Here we are looking forward to hear yours thoughts on Argentina. We trust you because you make so much senses. Thanks a lot. A have a great 2025
Go to Chile too, it's sweet. Especially in January. Something about being in summer in Jan is just Epic. Long days, fruits and summer vibes. It's a damn cool thing. It will remind you so much of the NW summers. Pucon is cool. Lots of good hikes in the area. You will be like, are we in Washington in July? Santiago is a great. There are some sweet hikes up in the Andes just outside the city.
Sounds like fun. We are planning our first trip (2nd half of 2026) for Ecuador and Columbia for 60 days. Wife has started her Spanish training and I will start in January. Safe travels. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
A couple years ago we walked 9 of the Cyclades. Only ones I would go back to are Naxos and Sifnos. Naxos -Ancient greek temples Venetian castles, great walks, Olive oil museum etc. beaches. An old working distillery which Brian would like. Sifnos, great walks and (360) Churches . From the top of the highest one you can see most of the 30 Cyclades. Every one and his dog goes to Santorini and Mykonos. But you should have been there 30 years ago. Yes Santorini is the most beautiful town in the world. But millions of Tourists also know that. Our daughter "made" us go there one year. We actually found empty beaches on the north side. ( ok, I know you know we hate tourists/crowds). all the best. Merry Christmas.
Sounds great. Arequipa in Peru has some of the best weather, cooler and dry. Pretty colonial buildings, walkable center. Not on the coast but mountains around it. We are heading to Santiago next December.
Merry Christmas and thank you for all the wonderful content this year. Look forward to following along next year and may see you in Greece as I'm exploring Southern Europe in the fall! My son has traveled all over S. America and LOVED it especially the falls (however you pronounce them:) and Machu Picchu.
@@AventuraAnne The correct pronunciations are: LATAM - ee-gwa-ZOO Spain -- ee-gwa- THOO In both cases, the last syllable is the stressed one as the final u is accented in Spanish.
We have done all the places in South America you are planning to go. Our travel budget is a little bigger than yours, so most of them have been guided tours. 2017 Machu Pichu and the Galapagos Islands. 2023 we did the expedition cruise to Antarctica and added on Iguassu falls. We got a 2 for 1 deal but it was still $12000. Make sure you do the boat ride at the falls. This year we did the cruise from BA to Santiago not going to Antarctica. Got a deal on that when we accepted to change to our cabin from a balcony to inside, got all of our cruise fare back. We then took a tour from Santiago to Easter Island and back. Then we toured Patagonia in Chile and Argentina. Valparaiso is a good day tour from Santiago for the street art. Bariloche in great area to visit in Argentina.
My wife and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We are looking forward to the Malbec videos. Please, if you have time, recommend the Bodega you like the best.
I spent about 6 months traveling South America. I enjoyed Montevideo Uruguay better than Buenos Aires and it’s just across the river. I know y’all like to exercise and the Malecon is tremendous. Also Vina Del Mar is a great place to take a break from Santiago with a great Ocean Malecon also. Some of the most amazing sunsets ever over the Pacific.
Please go to Uruguay if you can fit it in. It looks like such a nice developed country. Montevideo and the coast further north. Enjoy your journeys and thank you for allowing us all to come along.
In Spanish it is spelled: Iguazú. That little diacritic over the U means that the STRESS is over the U. Unlike English or French, Spanish has only one way to pronounce things, so without any doubt, in Spanish it is ee-goo-ah-zoo (stress in Zoo). :) I am a native speaker of Spanish. I will say, once you get over there, you will probably learn how the native people from the region pronounce it. It is possible that in the native Guarani language, it would be pronounced Iguazu (same as above but with the stress on the middle or first syllable). :) It looks like your 2025 will be exciting! Can't wait for your videos!!! Machu Pichu is in my bucket list :)
Good choices for winter 2025. I made a long trek around that continent last year at this time, including an expedition cruise to Antarctica. The Galapagos is also an incredible addition to long term South American travel if you’re interested in unique flora and fauna. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have. 🙋♀️💜
Excited to hear of your plans. Really looking forward to your take on Argentina, which is someplace we hope to visit in the future. The way you're traveling now makes sense. We're having trouble justifying more than 2 weeks in a particular location before moving on. We'll be doing London (briefly), Portugal, Spain, and Greece for the first part of 2025 and then we'll see. Merry Christmas to you both and enjoy your time with family.
Thanks guys!! Portugal, Spain and Greece are three of our Favorite! Have a great time, safe travels and have a Merry Christmas!! ❤️

Your 2025 sounds amazing. North of Spain, South of France and Puglia in Italy. Argentina is great so I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Merry Christmas! 🎄
Happy to hear you guys are going to "hit the ground" again - stoked for that. One of the best things about the videos is being able to do a little armchair travel ourselves as viewers. Enjoy!
I did a 19-day Antarctica expedition cruise, and it was expensive. My tip is to go to Ushaia, where they offer 50% off leaving the next day or week. For full-time travelers, this is the best way. For Peru, look at Peru Hop. I'm doing this hop on/hop off bus from Lima to Cusco in Sept/Oct. Then spending time in the Sacred Valley and, of course, Machu Picchu.
A day trip to Valpariso is 100% worth it.Get to the older section of Concepcion....In Santiago, enjoy the neighborhood of Italia near Providencia....you'll enjoy it thoroughly!!!!
Looking forward to the Argentina trip. I am not a big fan of "bucket lists" like Antarctica or Cape Horn, unless you are a big fan of cold, wet weather. If you research it online, it pretty well will look like what you see. I think many of us your age are looking at expat locations to spend part of the year, maybe half of the year, so you might consider a partial shift to showing places that have that potential. That means issues like language, the people, the tax system, residency visas, affordability of rents or condo prices, and above all, places that are welcoming for longer term visitors. So thinking of "deeper dive" visits to places like Italy, Portugal, Croatia, etc. I know you went to these places in the travel videos, but I am thinking more of going there and addressing the question "could I live here for six months?". So that is a suggestion for I think what would be a longer term future for your channel. The Expat movement continues to grow on RUclips. Look a places where you could happily live for six months, with side trips, and come back home twice a year. My preference would be Greece or somewhere sunny in the Mediterranean but everyone is different. As far as "bucket list" things, I remember when I went to the Grand Canyon, and, yes, it pretty much looked like what I had seen in photographs. But I wasn't going to live there or hike it, so that was it. And I lived in Arizona for years!
Cannot wait to see Argentina as this is a bucket list for my wife , we love Tanzania this year and the safari was fantastic and you can looking at budget safari, but also Sri Lanka is somewhere i am looking into since they have interesting safari . thank you for your great video and information on location , we are not slow travelers but you give tons of info that is very relative to our travel. Thank you and Merry Xmas and New year 2025. to Your success in this new year.
Would you consider Australia and NZ during the middle of the year. It is winter so not so expensive and Australia anyway and north of NZ is not that cold. You should be able to get house sits without any problem then.
Hey guys, nice video again. I'm Colombian. Please don't miss Colombia. It's beautiful, and the people are as friendly as can be. Do not believe everything that you read on the news. I always recommend using common sense in terms of how dangerous a place could be.
In Argentina I recommend going to Cordoba, it's a lovely city. Have you thought about going to Uruguay, Paraguay or Bolivia? All 3 countries will be in your path. In Bolivia, I recommend the Salt Flats and Tarija (nice wine). I've never been to Paraguay or Uruguay but I heard that Paraguay is super inexpensive and Uruguay's rural beach towns are reasonably priced.
Peru is awesome. Spend some time in Cusco. I took two weeks there to study Spanish. Do the Inca trail trek to Machu Pichu. It is only 3 nights on the trail. Amazing. Spend a night in Aguas Calientes, and then take the train back to Cusco. You will LOVE that area.
Excited to see your videos for 2025! When you get to Cusco, we have a suggestion for you. The last time that we were there, while our friends went to a museum, we went to Paddy’s Pub! Paddy's Irish Pub (11,156 feet above sea level), advertises as is “the world's highest 100% Irish owned pub”. Of course, the Guinness was great, but they also have pisco sour which is a cocktail that originated in Peru in the 1920s. The food was yummy too. Enjoy!
Hey, look at the Seas down below the horn or South America. There's basically an oval shape (large) of the seas there that are the worst in the world. Make sure that your "around the horn" is pretty close to the shore, and then also make sure the route to Antarctica avoids that piece of water as much as possible. The most difficult spots are Cape Horn and the Drake Passage. Check and see if the reason you got such a good deal is because it might be a rough ride. Love your channel and not wanting to burst any balloons. Really hope it is amazing. Would love to go to Antarctica ... and want you to know ahead of time, in case you had not been aware of that.
You would love the small Greek island, Alonissos! So many beaches to enjoy. And it’s lovely to stay up in the mountain village! Let me know if you would like info. I love small towns and islands. I have a home on Salt Cay, TCI. Less than 100 people! I leave in 10 days for the winter. Counting down…Happy Travels
Please go to Uruguay if you can fit it in. Workcation would be perfect here. Mellow, nice beaches. It looks like such a nice developed country. Montevideo and the coast further north. Enjoy your journeys and thank you for allowing us all to come along.
When in Peru you have to go to Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo, so beautiful and serene. Mira Flores is gorgeous and right on the Pacifc Ocean, so beaches are very easy to get to. You're going to have so much fun there, I loved my time there, Machu Picchu, and the Amazon.
You can't go wrong with spending time in Turkey again. 🙂 We will be in Ecuador for a few months this summer. Maybe see you there, eh? Iyi gezeler and bon voyage!
Excellent video, good information about your future plans. Have you guys considered visiting Central America? Guatemala, El Salvador, and Costa Rica have amazing places. Saludos and happy holidays!!!
Workaction cities-- Arequipa or Salta or Sucre As others have said you need to see Iguazu from both sides. A day each side. Also worth visiting Cuidad Del Este while there for the market just over the border. Also, hydro station if you have time. Bus from Mendosa to Santiago is spectacular
Absolutely visit Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. Its better organized than Argentinian side and more impressive. Do go fist thing in the morning on Brazilian side, purchase tickets at self service kioskos. They do have English speaking guides/helpers at the entrance to help tourists. For Argentinian side purchase tickets in advance on line and be prepared to wait in different lines. You can skip some of the lines for the train by just taking a walking trail. Its flat and shortish walk. You probably will need a rain poncho. It gets very misty/wet as you get closer to the falls. We also enjoyed Bird park that was right across the street ( 100m?) from the entrance to the Brazilian side of the falls. Birds there were stunning. You will not need cash in Brazil if you are going for just a day trip or staying couple of days. Everyone accepts credit cards and you can tip on cc as well ( you cannot do that in Argentina. Tips are cash only). Even small lunch places by the Falls entrance accept credit cards
A good place for your work vacation would be siesta key Florida. Rated number one Beach on the world and the beginning of May is not season and somewhat slow so you can definitely negotiate a price on an Airbnb. You don’t need a car and there is great public transportation on and off the island to go to the grocery stores and laundromat.
Hi BnC Wish you both a Very Merry Christmas and a Great Happy New Year. The 2025 plans look very interesting being in a new continent. We wish you the Best and looking forward to the exciting coverage. You mentioned that you are getting away from Air BnB. Yes they are getting ridiculously expensive. Are there any other platforms or sites you are looking at for stays other than trusted house sitters? Also heard you are headed back to Greece in spring??. We did visit Greece after you last visit there, and flew out of Mykonos to Naples (got a real cheap Easy jet Flt ). From Naples we took a bus (about an hour right out of Airport) to Sorrento area as our base for 11 days. We visited Amalfi, Positano, Mt. Vesuvius, Pompei, Naples, Capri Island and other attractions which you can easily do as day trips and that area has a lot to offer. I don't think you have covered that area yet, and just thought will mention it. We went in the 1st week of May, and for a non tourist season the place was packed with tourists. have a Great Holiday. cheers.
Hey! I've been to BA and it's amazing. The Recoleta, Palermo and Belgrano neighborhoods were great. Also fun to take the ferry (Buquebus) to Uruguay. I've never been to Bariloche and the Patagonia mountains to the south, but those are supposed to be amazing.
Brian & Carrie: when in Chile, you should go to Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia to see some of the most majestic mountains in the world (think Rockies on super steroids), pumas, and guanacos.
Merry Christmas Brian & Carrie. I love that you are venturing to South America. Try and include the Galapagos and some time in Ecuador. I would definitely include Patagonia before or after you do Antarctica. It is so breathtakingly beautiful. If you can enjoy some Carnival in Rio from late February to early March, I think this trip is complete. Safe travels and I am heading back to Turkey in 2025 and will include Cappadocia and Antalya... your video inspired me to spend extra time in Antalya. Safe travels and congratulations on the upcoming Greek wedding. I am getting a Mamma Mia vibe here. 👩❤👨
We hope to fit the Galapagos into our trip, but our budget may not allow us this year. Ecuador, Columbia, and Panama may have to wait until next year, but it could still be possible. You'll love Türkiye! Safe travels and have a Merry Christmas!
Exciting plans! I’m jealous of Argentina and Antartica. Our tentative 2025 plans are Bangkok, Da Nang (or somewhere else in SE Asia), Taipei, and Guanajuato. Of course, lots of domestic travel too. Don’t mind the corrections in your comments. I find when in real life when people correct your pronunciation of that language, they’re just trying to be helpful. On the internet, though, it’s going come across as harsh and overly critical.
Sounds like a great 2025 for you as well, Anthony! Thank you for all the support. Safe travels and happy holidays!! ❤️ Some comments have been extremely harsh! 🤣 It is easy to criticize from a keyboard! 😉
HA!! It depends on who you ask and what source you are referring to! We have heard so many different pronunciations. 🤣🤣 Thank you for all the comments over the last year! Safe travels and Merry Christmas! ❤️
I'll be in South America for two months starting January but on a cruise ship. Definitely not budget travel though which is why I look forward to you're videos. I plan on travelling more in 2025 but probably staying at an Airbnb or extended stay hotel. Do you get vaccinations for any of the places you're going to visit? The cruise line contacted me a couple of months ago and told me if I didn't have the yellow fever vaccination I wouldn't be allowed on the ship. It was an extra cost I didn't count on since my insurance doesn't cover the full amount. Happy Holidays and thanks for the vids.
Are you guys into nature kind of travels, where you are closer to nature than people. I would love to visit the Galápagos Islands, Amazon forest, the safari in Africa…again.
Merry Christmas guys. For your Staycation maybe back to Merida or Tulum or Isla Mujeres. Greece Island hoping, Gabriel Traveler has plenty of videos on this. Recently as just a few months ago. I think his plan is to visit every single island. Safe Travels.
Well we may overlap with you in BA after all! We’ve extended our trip and leaving around January 22. Also, Chris and Steve from Eat Walk Learn are here now as well and have about 60 nomads in a FB chat sharing tips for Argentina. Some are here now and others will be here when you are here. It is so expensive here that many of us are adjusting our travel plans around the country to maximize the value of our travels.
That sounds great!! Maybe we will meet up!! We have been watching the cost closely and know that the prices are not what they used to be! We will make the most of it either way!! Thank you!! ❤️
Yes, this one is a bit different than the others. I got this one at dick's sporting goods: www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/calia-womens-renew-tank-23jlowclrnwtnkxxxapt/23jlowclrnwtnkxxxapt?sku=25219477&camp=CSE:DSG_92700080094016463_pla_aud-1230869594787:pla-2302927601640_58700008656191204_71700000115905556&segment=&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA1Km7BhC9ARIsAFZfEIu8iYFQg7nvnkm3ppeykpvSehIgwpxG5OMq08NV52HavL7EIFHULDEaAvbzEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
You will love Machupicchu,Aguas Calientes and many different Incas Cities. Choquequirao isa incredible but you have to hike there. The other town in Lima besides Miraflores is probably Barranco . Since it is summer in Peru you guys should try to go to the different Beaches south of Lima or Beaches North of Peru. Lima has the best food many delicious restaurants. Maido,Astrid and Gaston,Restaurant Maras,Rafael, Central and many more. Safe Travels😃
We have but not sure that we will get to Cuenca this year, but it is on the list. Thank you for all the tips and great information!!
Thank you!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Thank you for this!! We will copy this and refer to it when we start planning that portion of the trip!! Great advice!!
An excellent plan. We thoroughly enjoyed Arequipa and then the train ride from Puno to Cusco. Incredible.
Merry Christmas! We are halfway through our first 4 month trip. We may end up doing this even longer. Thanks for all the tips and tricks.
That is awesome! Merry Christmas and safe travels!! 😁
💯%
Can’t wait to hear about your trip in Argentina. On our list eventually
Have you considered traveling to Ecuador? The city of Cuenca is lovely…is in the mountains, though not the coast, and very safe.
Ecuador is quite inexpensive and they use the US dollar. I have gone there nearly every year for the past 50 years. I love the place!!
Looking forward to seeing your upcoming year in travel! We just got back from Buenos Aires last month. We really enjoyed it there.
My husband & I are traveling to Japan in April. We got tickets for Expo25. Lots of things to do!
Da Nang seems ideal for your Workcation. A beach, good Internet and cheap (I heard that from you guys and headed there myself!😂)
So excited to see your videos from Argentina. I have been following you since your Valencia trip. Thank you for what you bring to the travelers community!
Thank you so much for staying with us all this time!!! ❤️❤️❤️
When in Peru go to Arequipa
In the south of Peru.
A have a great 2025
Thank you so much and have a Happy New Year!!
Thank you!! Good luck with your Spanish, safe travels, and happy holidays!! 😊
Sounds like a fun year of travel coming up! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you both!
Thank you! We appreciate the support and wish you the very best! Merry Christmas!! 😁
Colombia to settle and work! It's quiet and SO beautiful.
Brian and Carrie,
Excellent!
Merry Holidays. 🎅🎄🤶
THRIVE IN '25!!
Thank you, Peter! Merry Christmas! ❤️
Thank you for great videos, love your content and direction you are heading. Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much! Merry Christmas!!
@@AventuraAnne The correct pronunciations are:
LATAM - ee-gwa-ZOO
Spain -- ee-gwa- THOO
In both cases, the last syllable is the stressed one as the final u is accented in Spanish.
Thank you for another year of wonderful videos! Happy holidays and very excited for your 2025 adventures 😊
Excellent thoughtful well explained plan video. Keep it up you are very good.
Thank you!!! ❤️
Happy holidays!
Happy Holidays to you, too! 🎉
Thank you two so much for all of your support!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! ❤️
Your plans for 2025 sound exciting! Can’t wait to hear all about it!
Can't wait! 😁
It looks like your 2025 will be exciting! Can't wait for your videos!!! Machu Pichu is in my bucket list :)
You might consider time stamps for people to jump to if they don't like a part.
Merry Christmas and thank you for all your support!! 😊
Happy to hear you guys are going to "hit the ground" again - stoked for that. One of the best things about the videos is being able to do a little armchair travel ourselves as viewers. Enjoy!
Thank you, Phil! We just returned home from the 3-month tour of Mexico and excited to get back at it already!! Thank you for watching!! ❤️
You two are living the dream! can't wait to see Argentina and Antarctica vids.
Thank you, Steve. Merry Christmas! ❤️
Wow budget way to Antarctica. I can't wait to see that video. Have a great time. Enjoy your trip.
As budgeted as we could find anyway! 😁😉
We have heard that the expedition cruises are expensive. We are over budget on the one that we chose but excited that we decided to go for it!!
Argentina is on my list too, I hope you go there. Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas!!
Fun to hear your upcoming travel for 2025!
I missed it where you are going at the end of the year?
We have been in Mexico the last 3 months and have returned home for the holidays. Merry Christmas, Tracy! ❤️
Colombia is on our list, Juan. It will all depend on how much time we have. Thank you for watching and your suggestion! ❤️
In Argentina I recommend going to Cordoba, it's a lovely city.
Have you thought about going to Uruguay, Paraguay or Bolivia? All 3 countries will be in your path.
In Bolivia, I recommend the Salt Flats and Tarija (nice wine).
I've never been to Paraguay or Uruguay but I heard that Paraguay is super inexpensive and
Uruguay's rural beach towns are reasonably priced.
Have you thought about doing a train line and stopping in multiple towns along the line? Maybe a euro rail?
We have! One of many things on our list! 😁
Counting down…Happy Travels
look forward to the exciting videos in the 2025. Thank you for the voluble information, and the fun entertainment ! Happy New Year 🎉
Thank you so much for all the support!! Happy holidays to you and yours!! ❤️❤️
Go to asia afterwards. That will make the second half of the year more relaxed since its super safe.
I recommend Guatemala! Its so underrated - beautiful country, great people, you can't go wrong. You can go to Spanish school!
Please go to Uruguay if you can fit it in. Workcation would be perfect here. Mellow, nice beaches. It looks like such a nice developed country. Montevideo and the coast further north. Enjoy your journeys and thank you for allowing us all to come along.
Montevideo sounds lovely! We will keep that in mind! We may have some extra time while in Argentina! Thank you for following us! We appreciate you! 😊
Antarctica is great. I worked in McMurdo for six years. I wintered over twice. I miss it all the time.
Workaction cities-- Arequipa or Salta or Sucre
As others have said you need to see Iguazu from both sides. A day each side. Also worth visiting Cuidad Del Este while there for the market just over the border. Also, hydro station if you have time.
Bus from Mendosa to Santiago is spectacular
We will be taking the bus from Mendoza to Santiago! We hear it is amazing!
Valpairaso Chile is well worth a visit. If you don't mind hills, but since you're from Seattle you should be used to them lol
We went in the 1st week of May, and for a non tourist season the place was packed with tourists. have a Great Holiday. cheers.
Merry Christmas to both of you!❤
Merry Christmas!! 😊❤️
Thank you for inputs and information.
Thank you for watching and all your comments on the channel!! 😁❤️
Brian & Carrie: when in Chile, you should go to Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia to see some of the most majestic mountains in the world (think Rockies on super steroids), pumas, and guanacos.
Would love to see you travel chunks of the Trans-Canada trail, little pricey but fascinating
We just looked into that! From Toronto to Vancouver, it was almost $12,000! 😲
Could you consider your last stop after Peru to be Medellin Colombia? Love your videos!!!
Some comments have been extremely harsh! 🤣 It is easy to criticize from a keyboard! 😉
E - GWA- ZOO
HA!! It depends on who you ask and what source you are referring to! We have heard so many different pronunciations. 🤣🤣 Thank you for all the comments over the last year! Safe travels and Merry Christmas! ❤️
@BrianandCarrie That's the most commin I've heard and certainly to my ear, the sweetest sounding.
We will make sure we get it right before we do any video on it!! 🤣🤣
Happy holidays. 2025 sounds very exciting.
Happy holidays! ❤️
Do you guys ever do housesitting or just around Seattle when you began?
Just in Seattle and Bellingham. We are looking at doing other places outside of the US in 2025.
Oh boy! A budget way to Antarctica! I'm excited!!
Gabriel Traveler is a legend!!
Equador has some interesting beaches and the Galapagos as well.
Thank you!! ❤️
Sounds exciting!! Is that a different tank type? It's not as tight as the other style. Can you post the link? Ty 💕
Thank you for all the advice! We will be planning soon for that stretch! 😁
