Thank you for answering the one Schluter question that literally no one else has answered in their videos. That being how to finish the Kerdi band that isn't getting tile. I've been searching for days!
I had this exact question come up today. I am starting a kerdi board install in a small 3 piece bathroom. The tile is not going all the way to the ceiling and will stop short about 4 inches from the ceiling. Can I just extend the kerdi board all the way and mud over it and use drywall tape on it at the corner of the ceiling and wall? Or should I cut the kerdi board back and put a strip of drywall up there?
Why does this joint need to be waterproof? The glass door should be the edge? In the bathroom I demoed all the tile was on drywall I don’t think they even had red guard in early 80s and no real issues. Couldn’t just the kerdi fix be used to fill gap, then caulk any gap in the profile?

if I could give you 10 stars I would! Finally, the one thing they never cover is the transition between the wall and the kerdi board.
Shouldn't you be using thin set to "glue" the strip membrane? I thought the drywall mud will wick water

Great work, as usual!

you did not say what you used on joints of kerdi
That was thunder you used to hang the Kerdi membrane to the drywal and kerdi board?
