New music when? :/ Need food for my soul. Seriously though this is music that can actually save lives. Thank you so much for all this beauty, can't imagine my life without it anymore
I will forever be envious of the talent you guys hold, especially Drews voice. I love the tonal quality he can produce with the slightest of effort. Sean, your bass playing is phenomenally stupendous. Jesse, I have never had the pleasure of meeting you, but I'm sure you are just as kick ass as your talent to beat the hell out of some drums. And Dave, last but most definitely not least, your guitar playing has sparked my creativity for the past 10 years or so. The way you tease people with your ever changing rhythms is absolutely mind blowing. I was so broken hearted when you guys decided to part ways, but now you are back. And I can tell it is with a vengeance. I love it.
This song has been in my head every day for at least 6 months straight. It plays through my head in pieces and I can't get rid of it. It's a pleasurable curse
Wow. I discovered this band a month ago and this album is all I've listened to since. I've listened to A LOT of prog and it's amazing how there are this levels of undiscovered gems out there. It's also weird because they deserved way more publicity. Astoundingly good music.
been jamming to rishloo tunes for 6 years now. sometimes i get tired take a break, then in a couple months i fall in love again. wish there was more music from this band every song is a masterpiece.
Hm, fun thought on breaking down one line in this very cerebral song: "Safe to crawl across this tin-can tightrope walk." Tin-can telephones are a childs' toy made of two tin-cans linked by string. The children then go some distance apart and speak into one tin-can; the idea is that the sound travels down the string and into the other tin-can so the child on the other end can hear. However, I, Like many other, never really got it to work - it's not a very effective means of communication, so messages might be lost. Crawling across the tin-can tightrope walk may therefore represent trying to bridge the distance between either the dissonant messages our culture(s) speak to us, or perhaps the interpersonal barriers that seem to be so common in the modern age, by bringing ourselves straight to the source (or unraveling the meaning and implications.) A tightrope implies peril via risk of falling, however, and crawling implies timidity in the act of traversing from one side to the other. But then, the line itself says it is in fact safe(?) So, maybe, this is deconstructing the idea whether ignorance is bliss. Very neat lyrics, as always. I can only grasp at some straws, but they're very intriguing straws.
+FaceD0wnDagon I had a similar interpretation. But for some reason after "I want to crawl across this footprint dialogue fog I want to crawl" I heard "on to you". And with the addition of "mnemonic man, mnemonic man". I felt that the dialogue fog or tin can tight-rope walk that that he wanted to crawl across; Might be language. And the footprint or tight-rope was the space between each other. Language in our society is quite often used as a dividing tool, what if we used it to connect with each other, instead. Hence this song and the lyrics. Am I way outside the ballpark of everyone else?
Absolutely reminds me freddie sometimes but they have own sound. I meet this group too late. They are awesome. I' m sharing their songs with my friends. How can they not be famous. It's not fair...
I am blown away by your ability to constantly reinvent your sound and by the layers in Landmines. Most other bands would have made half an album from the ideas you have in that song - you are extremely talented. Dave, the textures given to the song through your fills and the transition effected by your solo are fantastic. Great vocal work from Drew once again. Sean and Jesse an amazing job to pull a song like that together and drive it.

One of my all-time favorite songs
the vocal at some times, reminds me of freddie mercury. that may be the biggest compliment to give any singer. :)
The Show Must Go On and Innuendo instantly make me think of Drew. Truth.
There are times they sound so similar, it's scary.
Absolutely reminds me freddie sometimes but they have own sound. I meet this group too late. They are awesome. I' m sharing their songs with my friends. How can they not be famous. It's not fair...
Drews voice is better. For me at least.
Glad I'm not the only hearing that. He doesn't exactly sound like freddie, but sometimes his voice carries like freddies.
around 4:20 it's exactly freddie
Two of my favorite things in music is a good intro and a good outro. This song excels at both

Mnemonic man, mnemonic man, do you recall
When you pushed a little further?
We're just here to burn your cities down
Caught a lot of love
Heard a lot of empty voices
Got a lot to learn to overcome my motives
And then move beyond those ordinary ways
We have seen the naked, automated cabaret
And we've moved, we've moved on
So move us on

What dreams may come for us

Spill me out evolved and screaming

Left up to you I'd use up forever
Choking down your plastic water
