kümmerling is probably the worst thing you can get in terms of medicinal liquor in Germany, out of all i had, they are the worst.

if you want the best experience however you'd need to a find a nice old german grandpa who makes his own out of herbs he finds in the woods and 96% polish spirytus.

@@isabellarussell4407 I've only ever found them at one store in the U.S. I used to work at the store, and there was this one customer who came in every now and then to buy a boatload of the stuff. It was very popular. Especially the limited edition seasonal flavors when we got those in.

It's so funny to watch this as a German😂😂 But to answer your one question about the "Dickmann's"... They come in different sizes, there are small "mini Dickmann's" and regular Dickmann's, too. Some are made of white chocolate, some with Milk chocolate or dark chocolate, like the ones you ate. 😂😂😂

7:00min Kümmerling and Jägermeister are more or less the same. Jägermeister just had an immense PR campaign around 2000-2005 marketing it as a hip party drink. Until this campaign Jägermeister was a drink for old people.

Ein ManU we have them in the Netherlands as well but I mostly know them from Lidl which is German, so maybe other countries have them as well but only at Lidl stores?

Not super important but thought maybe you'd find it interesting:
the inside of Dickmann's is frequently mistaken for marshmallow by foreigners, it's actually just whipped egg whites though which makes it soft and creamy product that lacks the gummy-like structural strength a marshmallow has :)
Marshmallows are also essentially whipped egg whites and sugar. So assuming it is something like marshmallows would be korrekt. Essential difference is the gelling agent.

Super Dickmann's are the regular size. Dickmann is the company name. And they called it Super for advertisement reasons. There are also smaller ones now.
Kümmerling isn't real a medical alcohol. Like many other brands of Kräuter (herb liqueur) it was supposed to be medicine but today it is a digestif. Something you drink after your meal. Today most doctors say that alcohol doesn't help for digestion but people don't care about that.
We have a lot of herb liqueurs in Germany and some taste complete different than the other. Variations of sweet, bitter, spicy and anise are generally the flavour you can expect.
But herbs can help digestion
The alcohol isn't helpful as digestif, it's the "bitter" flaver that help - but to get it you need alcohol to detach the herb ingredients. (Deswegen ist auch in Produkten wie Iberogast sehr viel Alkohol enthalten, im Prinzip nichts anderes nur genormt - also das geprüft wird wie viele Inhaltsstoffe in dem Fertigarzneimittel sind und diese dann einheitlich gemacht werden, damit der Gehalt immer und überall gleich ist)

Aaaah I remember that Dickmann, in Slovakia we called them Čierny princ (Black prince) and as a kid growing in 90' I loved these, but at that time they were expensive so I got them only on special occassions and oh the taste

is ritter sport german? you can get them in a ton of chain grocery stores in the toronto area in canada. they're great though, i don't know any other chocolate brands that do a bar with whole hazelnuts

Anglicans, Eastern Catholics, and Orthodox priests can be married. I believe for Anglicans they can marry after ordainment as well, for the Orthodox/Eastern Catholic only before ordainment.

I was APPALLED when you suggested to change the name of Dickmanns! Can't just change the name like that, they're tradition! For example on a kid's birthday we do an eating contest where the kids have to put their hands on their backs and then eat a Dickmann just like that. Fastest gets a prize.

Hallo I am from Germany so some things about Kümmerling. its made for party's and i give you a little example of were you can see it. the bottle are slightly tapered so you can bild a circle out of it that goes nearly exact around a German standing table .
Chris' office/study makes me chuckle, my Dad is a retired Church of England Vicar/Reverend and had a very similar style. (Mostly bookcases, a sofa, a desk, clerical attire hanging on the door, large window, suspiciously uncomfortable side chairs)
Those apple crisps look so good. I’ve never had apple crisps that were actually crispy. All the ones I’ve had were a bit chewy.
They do look really good! The crunchy ones can be hard to find sometimes

Are freeze-dried/dried apples not common in the UK? They're almost everywhere in the states.
J L it is not that popular- I think mostly foreigners actually bother to buy it and eat - I’m polish and lots of us eat dried apples and you can usually finds them in healthy option sections in the shops and apple crisps too but they are rarer .
3:27 Here in Austria we call them Flips or Snips and they are AMAZING. One of few snacks I am addicted to.

Haha, right? I'm Hungarian but that's how they were called here too. (Négercsók-> csók means Kiss in Hungarian).
When I was little, my half-brother asked me if I want some Négercsók/Nigerküsse and I was terrified and said no. Lmao. Had no idea what they were back then.
Just a small addition to the Kuemmerling. It is a common party drink and the goal for an evening is to complete a whole "circle of bottles", as they are slightly angled. I guess one circle were something like 60 bottles or so.

not sure if someone already pointed it out but the chicken nugget crisps come from a contest that the company holds, where people can design and submit a flavor and if it gets the votes it hits the shelves for some time. Currywurst was one such winner and sold well enough to become regular.
You guys should've tried the Milka cookies!!! They have gooey chocolate in the middle THEY'RE SO GOOOOODDDDDD

I try the durian last Year on lombok. It Taste like a nice mixture between Eggs and onions. I like it.

As a german I always find these videos incredibly entertaining to watch :D Have you tried Bifi Rolls yet? They are tiny salamis wrapped in bread. Great snack, tho probably not very healthy
