I use salt for potatoes. If I'm mashing them I use milk, butter, salt and some English mustard. Try English mustard and see if that's bland 😀
It's not french fries between bread, it's what we call chips, much chunkier than fries. I'm not a fan.
Baked beans on toast are delicious, how on earth can that be bland? It's not just beans you know.

@bts vibes Takis Nitro sounds like a Greek last name followed by an adejective that could be used to name a nightclub. If you didn’t know ouzo is a type of Greek alcohol. All said in a pretty hilarious attempt at your typical Greek grandfather’s accent. I feel as if the joke is more funny if you’ve grown up in a Greek family.

Fun fact: If you read the description for ingredients used in Goldfish, the first ingredient listed is "Smiles". Also, the reason why wings are called "Buffalo" is because they originated in Buffalo, New York in the 1960s.
Next time you try American Snacks, you should try Poptarts, Gushers, Ruffle's Sour Cream and Cheddar Chips (crisps), Captain Crunch, Cheez-Its, Flaming Hot Cheetos, Little Debbie Brownies or Oatmeal Cookies, and Fruit by the Foot!
PS: Not all of us Americans are overweight. There's been quite a health-kick over the past couple of years. Still pretty bad over here though. Haha

Oooo! That reminds me. Up in the New England area, there's things called whoopee pies. They so good and addicting. Also try moon pies. Another American junk food. Whopper pies tend to be more homemade whereas Moon pies you can in any old grocery store.

We used to make Muddy Buddies at home before the brand was even a thing. We called it Puppy Chow is the South. Chex Cereal, melted chocolate and peanut butter mixed together then divvied up into sandwich bags filled with powdered sugar for you to shake it up yourself. Muddy Buddies just enabled us to eat it more often 😂
I'm used to Puppy Chow as well. Always got a paper bag from the store to shake them in to cover with powdered sugar.
In elementary school, I would pretend the goldfish would swim into a cave (my mouth) and then they would go "wait a minute, why is there teeth in this cave" and then I would chomp down...... anyway, how was your childhood?😅
Eating those rainbow goldfish! And fruit by the foot! In elementary school people would some times trade theirs for another color or flavor. And Cheez-its! Life savor gummies are my favorite to get out of candy claw machines.

I'm American and my husband is Korean. Last summer he went with me to America and tried the our snacks for the first time. I was surprised that he reviewed most of our salty snacks as "sour." And I think that's because a lot of our salty snacks have Mexican influences which uses a lot of lime in the flavoring.
By the way, love the videos! My husband and I like to watch them together ❤️

@@yougoglencoco377 it doesn't really mean anything. It is just nickname/smaller version of Κωνσταντίνος (Constantinos). This name is Greek but it was inspired by christianity more than any other meaning behind it like ancient Greek names so yeah. Also Takis isn't a nickname just for Constantinos but other names too, though it is most common to hear it for Constantinos

When my daughter was a teenager, she didn't know what a twinkie was.We usually ate healthy, natural foods. Her counselor mentioned twinkies in an analogy. My daughter had no idea, he jokingly scolded me as a mother. Then all my kids were super curious about twinkles, so I got a box. None of us liked them, they were too sweet and tasted so much like nonfood.

Muddie Buddies are sometimes called puppy chow too. They are made with Chex mix peanut butter chocolate and powdered sugar! 😋
Takis and Hot Cheetos are like a staple snack here in Southern California, especially for students. I'm a teacher here and seriously all the kids constantly have bright red stained index fingers and thumbs. I used to eat them all the time as well when I was younger but I can only eat them occasionally now. Also, omg yes Muddy Buddies are freaking addicting! They're easy to make at home too. Pro tip: they become even more amazing if you freeze them first before you eat them.

I remember when Cinnabon came out with a specialty cereal and it was the best thing in the world and I was sad it was only for a few months and never came back. But I love all the cereal choices we have. Especially Cheerios; there’s about 20 flavors now and some are seasonal. Pumpkin Spice and Peaches are my faves

muddy buddies are also referred to as puppy chow. So easy to make. Its crispex cereal, melted peanut butter and chocolate and stirred together then put into a ziplock bag with powder sugar and shaken.
They definitely need to try more American snacks bc I haven’t rly heard of some of these but there are a lot more (there’s a few lists in the comments that are quite good) also try the purple original takis!

All my favorite snacks! We almost always have Goldfish in the house, but Combos were always a car ride snack. I also prefer the purple Takis (chili lime, they're a lot more spicy than the red ones, I'm pretty sure). Also, making Muddy Buddies is a lot of fun!
I had no idea we had bags of Muddy Buddies you could buy lol. In my state we call it puppy chow, and it's typically made at home!

Puppy chow (muddy buddies?) is super easy to make. We make it every year for Christmas and eat it, not one by one, but by the handful in true American style.

Yes as someone who lives in the States, the amount of food consumption is crazy here but regardless of the wide variety and availability of food, we still have hungry homeless people 🤔

A lot of snack foods are country specific. While many American snacks go abroad, some get modified slightly. Like even basic plain Pringles will taste a little different from one country to the next as some countries like them saltier or less salty or the crisp will be larger or smaller, or a slightly different oil or starch might be used to make them. Korean Pringles taste a little different for instance than American Pringles as I guess they have been localized a bit to the Korean palate which generally doesn't like salty foods unless they have steamed rice to eat the salty food with.
Maybe it's not sold where they are? I've had all of these snacks except the Takis one and I live in the Philippines. I grew up eating Combos. The cheddar cheese flavored one is my fave.
Reese’s puffs are a classic! Never heard of Combos, but good choices! Muddy and buddies and gold fish are awesome! And twinkies are a nice old classic!

Muddy Buddies is a ripoff of Puppy Chow! People make Puppy Chow at home from regular Chex cereal. It became so popular that Chex decided to mass produce it under a different name!

@@kimbaro1 The puppy chow snack is usually chex cereal coated in peanut, sometimes chocolate or both than you cover it with powder sugar. You can use any kind of cereal but chex is what is mostly used. Its both most healthy snack but it lasts long on hikes or camping trips when you want something sweet.
