New Havoc Changes
Army Unto Oneself
Changes from Physical damage to ALL damage.
This is HUGE and gives us another form of active mitigation from a dps ability
Synergy with talent that refreshes Felblade with vengeful retreat
Intent Pursuit
Changed from The Hunt Cooldown reduction to giving a charge of Reaver’s Glaive.
This is a FANTASTIC change - The Hunt hasn’t been doing much dmg on beta, even with the CDR.
This now allows us to get Reaver’s Glaive right away at the start of an encounter
Thrill of the Fight
Changed from increasing the next single attack by 30% to increasing ALL of our damage and healing by 30% for 10s.
Ending pattern with CS gives reaver’s mark on one target - Good ST Amp
Thrill of the Fight buff is an AoE buff
Art of the glaive and Reaver’s Glaive are not buffed by thrill, wounded quarry is
Actually nuts when you consider we get 30% for 20s from Reaver’s Mark if we finish a pattern with Chaos Strike (15% otherwise) and another 30% from this - a 60% dmg increase for 10s… On top of everything else we have.
Incisive Blade
Seems to be working now, it wasn’t before.

im hoping this one isnt the play. not a fan of them adding even more short buff windows you need to track and overlap to actually do dam. REALY dont want havoc to have a fun tier set and a terribly not fun talent setup

I disagree with your last statement that trees should have clear strengths and weaknesses. Hero talents were revealed as supposedly class flavor talents. Obviously one situationly would be better than the other ( perfect balance is impossible) but the difference should be really small. I prefer the flavor of fel scared and I hate Aldrachi playstyle. Shouldn't be forced to play throw glaive for the rest of my dh days. At least make the difference small enough that I don't care about losing 1-2% dps playing fel scared on ST
While I agree with that sentiment, I think thats just not possible at this point now that we see how the hero talent trees are essentially just extensions of the spec trees.
If they were designed to be strictly flavor and cosmetic then absolutely.

How funny is it that the FEL GLAIVE spec has almost nothing to do with our FEL GLAIVES. Wouldn't it have been cool if we were chucking glaives all over the place, giving us some fun mid range damage?
If you think this hero talent tree is annoying for Havoc just know that it’s much more annoying for Vengeance.
It forces you to get and use Felblade which has no place in the Vengeance rotation and literally only adds button bloat to the spec.

Would THRILL OF THE FIGHT actually make FEL BARRAGE work? Would it snapshot that damage throughout us keeping it active for the full 10-20 seconds?
Now, let’s address the glaives. Illidan’s iconic weapons serve a dual purpose
Fel Elementals: Imagine Illidan hurling his glaives, and from their impact, fel energy erupts, summoning demonic allies. Picture infernals crashing down or felhounds emerging. It’s a spectacle-a testament to his mastery over fel magic.
Big Demon Transformation: When Illidan throws his glaives, it’s a signal. He’s about to transform. The glaives become conduits, channeling his metamorphic energy. As they return, he absorbs their power, growing larger, more formidable. It’s a cinematic moment-the hero becoming a colossal force.
The throw glaive play style and movement play styles are just boring and don’t enhance the class fantasy which hero talents should be doing.
Thinking DH might be my new main for TWW!!
I don't know feels like they made it more clunky and more pointlessly overly complicated for no reason, would of rather seen more passive and faster chaos gain at start like chaos gain off fell rush. Plays better in remix than live.
These changes are definitely very positive. I hope that they’re still working on the visuals, because neither Hero talent specs feel very ‘hero-y’ or visually impactful 😔 Aside from another green explosion for Fel-Scarred (which is just boring) it doesn’t feel like there’s any exciting class fantasy in either spec.
There are some clear winners, visually (Shadowpriests/Demonology Warlocks) so I really hope they’re cooking up something for us.
I agree that the visuals here don't quite meet the expectations that the other classes set
compared to others our hero talents do feel very lackluster. numbers are cool but they just dont feel special or like you said "hero-y"

Not a fan of these things on top of each other. What about threat? It seems to me you'll insta pull with that kind of burst. That threat reduction talent isn't going to help.
sadge that u still need to dash and retreat in ur dmg rotation :/ sometimes it is just complett dogshit in keys / Raid to move but u need to otherwise u do just 0 dmg

Giving DH this many short windows modifiers is the wrong move, it's been proven in other classes many times. I've been testing every class since alpha and sadly DH seems one of the least interesting.
which of the melees did you find most fun and why?
@@adamsandstrom7246 personal preference plays a role in an answer to that question, but I'd say Ret Unholy and Survival have a good design overall, talents that sinergize well with each other and make the rotations feel smooth resulting in a somewhat simple yet coherent and enjoyable playstyle.
As a pvp player, I’m quite excited for both hero talent trees.

One thing that immediately caught my attention was that, if you want to have Thrill AND Reaver’s Mark for the opener EssB, you would have to Blade Dance and then not press chaos strike until Blade Dance cooldown is almost back up (to avoid proccing Thrill until you have Blade Dance ready for an EssB combo).
So you need to fill some time because you can’t Chaos Strike, which might get awkward?
On an opener with all cd’s it would be fine:
IA-Hunt-Reaver’s Glaive-BD-SoF-SoS-Fel Rush-IA-Fel Rush-Eye Beam-VR-EssB-Annihilation-Death Sweep-Meta-Death Sweep
Something like this, key note is that you “fill” the time you wait for Blade Dance cd with SoS, SoF, IA, FR, etc.
But yeah, might feel a bit weird being incentivised to not Chaos Strike in that kind of situation
gotta press reaver's glaive before ESSB and pray to get a good rng on blade resets
you press chaos blades into aura into chaos strike into fel rush then essence combo.
if you are on essence+meta combo, you don't have to worry about super min-max and just do the usual

Absolutely. Throw glaive isn't generating souls, meaning youre not getting reavers glaive back
