Unless you buy Hammerite thinner to clean the brush, you will have to bin it when finished. Also, when you have sanded any paint, you should leave it breath for around one hour before painting, to avoid a reaction. It does not always happen, but when it does you will wish you had left it. Good video, I have given you a like, a lot more people could have done the same, sometimes you would think they had to pay for it. Paul UK.
Lovely finish Justin,I remember using Hammerite copper finish for garden gates etc on my kitchen doors 25/30 years ago and it dried with a hammered copper affect,I had to take them all off and lie them flat to do it so the the paint wouldn't run down, saw it on a diy tv show,it was very smart and looked like real copper sheeting had been put on the doors
It's unlikely for the paint to catch fire!! Never say never, but I've never heard of it. It doesn't matter if you use gloss, satin, or eggshell. Just make sure it's a solvent based paint
Agreed. And you don't need to drain down the entire system. Just requires a little top up once the new rad is installed. A 45 minute job at most - all in.
Great video only 1 problem the wife saw me watching it and said " Oh great you can do our 8 radiators".
So thanks Justin
Haha! Oops, sorry about that 😂😂
Looks really good 👍🏽
Great video, I have two radiators to do and this was a great help.

Great video clip.
Hi Justin, is the hammerite the best paint for radiators? Thanks
I honestly can't answer that. But if I didn't have any of this paint, I would use an oil based paint instead.
Can I use gloss to paint a radiator? My dad hasn't told me about heat resistant paint which is safety issue if it burns.

Where did you buy the hand held lamp and is it battery operated ??
It's from Amazon, and is a rechargeable work Iight
Thanks great videos
Hi, how come you didn’t prime any bare metal marks on the radiator as it looked like the one on the front was bare metal, thanks.
This paint deals with that. Hammerite is renowned for painting on bare rusty metal, so no need to prime
gloss will always be best cause its a lot tougher than satin wouldn't even consider eggshell on jobs.
Thanks for the tip, I got Ronseal white gloss.
Yes you must keep The Mrs happy... 😂😂😂🤣👍
I wish they did different colours
Just change the rad. £20 ish at diy centres.🥴

It's OK if you are confident at plumbing. Most plumbers to fit a new rad take liberties.
hi, interested in testing our cordless power screwdriver? we could send it to you for free
I'll try it
Can't your wife help?
Sorry, what do you mean? 🤔
@@JBTV You said your wife has been on at you to get the job done. I wondered if she could have helped you do it?
