    Excellent instructional video... Thanks!!! Knowing how to properly take plastic components apart is critical. One broken plastic tab will completely alter the scope of a project.

    I really like how you break everything down step by step. The blue tape was a very good tip. I would be done with replaced o rings and not able to put the two parts back together. Very instructive video my friend. 😀

    Harki, these o rings are always the culprit. They cost almost next to nothing, but is pretty critical in maintaining a leak free function.

    Thank you for this, I did replace the o rings and it is still leaking a bit. : / Any further advice?

    • @LonghornWorkshop
      @LonghornWorkshop  Год назад +1

      Is it leaking from the valve spout? If so and you replaced all the o rings then best to just replace the whole valve.
      I assume the new o rings that you put in were for your valve.

  • @rea8755
    @rea8755 Год назад +2

    Why would air be coming out when valve is closed position?
    Thank you for a great video.

    • @LonghornWorkshop
      @LonghornWorkshop  Год назад +1

      Valve is closed but the o-rungs inside the valve have worn out so air leaks. Simple solution is to replace the o-rings so the valve can do its job.
      Hope that helps

      lol let’s hope so. If it’s leaking from the valve it’s either the o rings or the valve itself. Regardless it’s a cheap fix.

    When starting the pump and refilling the tank do you go in an manually set it up for a lower pump speed?

    • @LonghornWorkshop
      @LonghornWorkshop  9 месяцев назад +1

      My pump only has one speed so its either off or on. I have never seen a variable speed pool pump, however if you have one you should always start with a lower speed and then increase. Not sure if that’s what you were asking?
