That 68rfe trans always ends up not holding up. I always try to tell people when buying a RAM get the Aisin as69rc. Can't get it in a 2500 tho gotta be a 3500 srw or drw.
It looks like someone knocked something loose. Fluid leaked out until dry, no line pressure to move the truck. Transmission's dont just leak out onto the ground. Its always torque converter, overdrive clutches etc. Internal problems.
Make sure it’s not just separated transmission lines, or trans cooler. If someone was working on it they could have accidentally knocked a hose loose. I have a Chevy and they just separate without warning. Once trans gets low enough it ain’t moving bro.
I know the exact feeling you going through right now... My transmission called quits on me last month after bout three hundid thousand miles. I couldn't be mad at it's performance... luckily I had the money but goodluck on the transmission...I refuse to buy used and trying to purchase a new transmissions is hard...seems they all on back order due to covid...smh...
