You can change their opacity, make it so they go back to full opacity on mouse over, and even just play disappear until you enter combat. I love it, because I hate how much of the screen gets congested with ugly UI elements.

I dont mind it too much its not like we are missing out on anything progression wise or m+ etc . Its just the people calling us brokies etc and thinking theyre better than people without early access that is disheartening...

One positive is it had a piss-easy launch no disconnects no lags, it is safe to assume the actual launch is also going to be helped in this way - although this could not be the EA's doing, as it could just be low player count which would makes sense given how terribly low hype was kept going into this one. Of course, as expected, the game is full of bugs in early access so wooo we are playing the game early. The event in the first zone doesn't work properly. Open beta
its because they put the continent into the game and just kept it locked away several months ago. they then did the "bug" fixes 2 weeks ago with that 8+ hour maintenance. I genuinely give them props for not messing it up for you early-release guys. i couldn't justify the 40 but i don't want you guys having a bad experience just because i'm not in it.

No reason to do any content on max level, apart from maybe getting some currencies like stones and honor - but the first week of release will be plenty to do that also. Professions and goldmaking is another can of worms I shan't open.

I won't actually get to play until the 29th anyway. Yea it does suck because some are enjoying the new content while others aren't. Whether they have the ability to afford the epic edition or not.
I am a GM who is riding the bench with ya, brother! I am too poor to afford early access. I am also a healer, and dadgum, it is so hard to know my guildies need my help but I can not help them. So, I am killing time by doing the Legion campaign! lol
if you finish the legion campaign with time to spare - do one of the shadowlands ones - in about 4-5 hours you can finish the main campaign and a covenant, get a dope trasnmog and some mounts for a pretty short time commitment ( i did all of the covenants for plate transmogs and it took about 11 hours.
I second your advice to stay away from these online media sources. I recently watched the release trailer and when I jumped on RUclips today the algorithm threw a major spoiler right up on my landing page that had the whole spoiler right in the title. No avoiding that! I blocked the channel for doing that. I have been avoiding anything like that and all content related to the beta for months and on day one someone blows up my hard work.

Side note, you mention Corporate Greed, however it's Corporatism or Cronyism coupled with very high govt spending (causing inflation) that led to most of us not having cash around to spend. Greed is baked into our capitalism, competition is it's natural and stable balance-weight...just happens to be countered with cronyism right now, and that needs to be fixed.

Play Final Fantasy 14 brother! Beats WoW by a mile in my opinion and the graphics are insane! It's also way better for new players! You still get to experience the whole story and all expansions at your own place while still playing with the entire community

Idk, man, I dont think the early access is a huge deal. This is a completely optional thing and it's only 4 days. If you can swing it, get it. If not you're barely behind the people that did. I just don't think it's that serious Esp since it's looking like such a great expansion. I feel that Blizzard is finally doing right by us and sullying that because of half a week of extra playtime people have the option of getting is a little silly.

Goblin Gliders are a nice, cheaper, option ;) … also they can be handy af in pvp. The engineering parachute is super handy too (1 min cd)
