  • I spent a few weeks with the 2022 Lexus LX 600 F SPORT Handling, the sport version of the big Lexus 3-row (7-passenger) SUV. This luxury SUV has F SPORT interior trim with semi-aniline leather and typical Lexus quality, workmanship and build quality. I loved how quiet it was when you rolled up the windows. I drove the LX 600 back and forth between Los Angeles and Palm Springs a few times and also took it off-roading in the desert. It has full-time 4WD, an adaptive variable suspension and a TORSEN limited slip differential. It's a serious SUV able to perform in all terrains and also able to tow big things with an 8,000 lb towing capacity.
The 2022 Lexus LX 600 F SPORT Handling now has a 3.5L twin turbo V6 with 409 hp, sadly it gets rather poor gas mileage rated an average 19 mpg (17 city / 22 highway). I had trouble getting more than 20 mpg, even driving in the sluggish Eco Pro mode constantly.
The 2022 Lexus LX 600 F SPORT Handling has a base price of $101,000. The LX 600 I drove had a final price of $107,810. with only a few options including adjustable ride height, the Mark Levinson upgraded surround sound audio system and a few minor trim things.

Man that two screen layout is such a a after thought. What were they thinking? Complete fail, that alone make me skip this SUV. Add to that lack of V8 means I go for a new Yukon Denali Ultimate. GM big SUVs is where it’s at.

I liked the screens, makes it easy to control and see everything. I do like the cars where you can fold them or hide them, like the Range Rover or Cullinan.
I don't think you need a V8, this engine has the same horsepower and torque as the V8 had. It just sucks they couldn't make it have better gas mileage than the V8. That Yukon V8 can get 25 mpg with cylinder de-activation.

@@FreddySherman V8s in a 6000lb vehicle are smoother bro. a V6 is too small to pull this rig

@@JokerG16 You would think so but I have driven both and didn't find much difference. Also the numbers, HP and torque are very similar. Might make a bigger difference when towing something. I just think they should have / could have made the V6 more fuel efficient, it's about the same MPG as the V8!

Love how Toyota and Lexus got rid of the hump running down the middle. Heard the turbos will be problematic years down the line while the v8 can last longer.

I'm just shocked it has about the same fuel economy as the V8! The Chevy Suburban can get up to 25 mpg, and it's bigger.

@@JokerG16 I had a better experience with the V6 than I expected to! I thought I would be disappointed, but it felt the same as the V8.

I would get it for the reliability, you know you can drive it for 200,000 miles and only really need to change the oil. Inside I don’t think it’s as nice as a range Rover, the materials aren’t as nice like wood and aluminum and things like that. Also the outside is a bit generic from the rear it looks like a jeep Wagoneer or one of the big Dodge SUVs I don’t think it’s distinctive enough. But as always I like your video

That's the point you can't argue with, you get that long-term bulletproof reliability most other brands do not offer.

I like it but not with red interior. It should have Saddle color, red is just out of place in a SUV for interior.

You are forgetting this is the F SPORT version, the sporty, more performance oriented trim level so they are trying to have a bolder look. You can order it with whatever interior finish you like.
They have other models of the LX that are much more subtle.
