Ayanda Allie is no stranger to South African households. She’s had a long and successful career in broadcast media as a journalist and TV anchor; and has amassed extensive experience as a communications expert and media creative.
After a short stint as a national government spokesperson, in South Africa, she ventured into music, book-writing, social activism and also founded a thriving youth development centre in Soweto.
She’s now entered the political arena, as the national head of communications for one of South Africa’s new political outfits, Build One South Africa (BOSA), headed by Mmusi Maimane.
We got an opportunity to have an extensive conversation with her on her work and the 2024 South African elections.
