The train station reminded me of 'only yesterday". Traveling the Japanese countryside is such an enchanting experience. Traveling Japanese countryside is on my bucket list:)
After 3 years, i'm here again. Rewatching. Want to go to these train stations. Been to Nagano last year, countryside vibes and train stations are for the books.

Just some simple English subtitles to tell the story. It was just like making a movie... not just you but us as viewers would be going out to explore beautiful Japan. A few years back, I think in Vancouver a single black bear killed 4 people in less than an hour. Though smaller than grizzlies, they can be vicious and aggressive.

"Our Little Sister" is one of the greatest of movies. Subtle and deep in an understated beautiful presentation.. Your videos really bring out the feeling of being there along on the journey. Japan sure is good for solo trips and especially smaller lines and towns.

I did the exact same thing - visit Ashio in Tochigi ken to ride the Watarase train from Ashio to Kiryu. I came from Nikko via bus to Ashio. Ashio a very special place to me. I was just there in Late October of 2023, and before that way back in 1965 as a child, with my mother. Ashio is where my mother was born and raised along with generations of her clan going back to the 12th century. I wanted to see the momiji turned red, but I was too early, or the momiji was late. The train is older than I am. I loved the sound, and smell of the diesel engined train. Also really enjoyed our brief stop to pick up food vendors, and enjoy a lunch on the train. I hope I can visit again one day.
My 3 am thoughts of wanting to live in a Japanese countryside brought me to this video and it's perfect 😂 I also loved the movie when I watched it a few years ago. So nice to see where they filmed it.

Every time I watch any Japan travel vlog it always makes my heart warm. The beautiful scenery makes me nostalgic even though I've nothing to do in Japan. So beautiful. I wish one day I can visit this country. But don't know even if I reach there how I'll travel with my broken English and no Japanese knowledge. I wish I meet somebody who like to walk and enjoy Japan as much as I do but know Japanese and English.
I hiked up almost every mountain in the Tokyo surrounding area and I remembered I took the seibu chichibu quite often. some of my most favorite mountain ranges of Japan on along that line.
This is just so beautiful! The cinematography is awesome and as well as the song selection. You've really captured the beauty of Japanese rural town!. I would love to visit there someday. I became a fan of your channel! 😊
