An other little gem of Hidden Japanese History being opened up to the masses. The residences are so simple and offer a glimpse of what life actually was like for the Samurai's, not the flashy places seen on film. Now on to the modern day trip, the cost of the ticket was very economical since it combined the cost of several items that you could do with ease during a afternoon of leisure. I giggled when they served the cold Green Tea drink with a cardboard sleeve and served the hot coffe without a sleeve. I was surprised that when you were at the "second lunch" they didn't provide you with a protective pad to open that steaming hot pot of yummy vegetables to you. So on to the next hidden gem in Japan or wherever you go.
They're trying to get more money out of tourists, but in the case of Japan, it's usually good value for the money. It also simply provides more choices, so there's something for everyone, which is a good thing.
Omg Japan, you're so amazing, my friend. I must visit your country soon. There is so much to see, and Cat Island I must visit have fun for me, my friend, much love as always
I try to watch your videos when I am enjoying a delicious meal, otherwise I end up eating something I didn’t really want just to satisfy my hunger. This one was loaded with !!s and definitely ignited my hunger. Japanese foods are so much more beautiful than American foods. There is more delicacy, more surprises, more interest in the overall experience of eating. You do an excellent job of conveying that feeling. Also, how can you be so humorous when you never speak? Thanks again for a wonderful travel adventure and ❤!!
What a peaceful place surrounding the shogun's houses. That meal looked great and to get the train ride, meal, and the museum entrance for that one price sounds like an amazing deal.
Oh Wow, That was a beautiful and relaxing cafe train video. The food looked yummy The scenery from the train looked Amazing and I wish I could of been there on that ride. That delicious looking Cahe with peaches, and pineapple with all of that delicious icing was my favorite. Thank You for sharing your beautiful video. God Bless. Barbara from the United States.
I have read about the Shimabara rebellion so it was exciting to see the location in your company,it was a sweet trip, beautiful scenery and great food all at reasonable cost. You do so much to showcase the hidden beauty of Japan,I salute you!
Thank you for this video! This train has so much to offer for a reasonable price and what a view of the sea in your layover. This would be a nice little excursion.
Wow a triple !! lunch at Himematsuya. First time I remember ever seeing a video from you that had some many !!s for one lunch. Always enjoy you videos. Keep up the good work.
This is a great deal for the price and the inclusions! That meal looked better than some you have had that were supposedly much fancier and much more expensive! 👍🏼
Incredible deal! I’m envious that we don’t have affordable tourism to historical sites like that in the U.S. I would visit this cafe train/tour frequently.
With the views of the sea, the meal, and the castle admission? Definitely a good deal. The only thing that might make it better is a meal that showed off more local specialties?
You have so many interesting trains in Japan, and lots of fascinating destinations. Such a lovely country. But if I were to visit your country I'd need someone like you along to give me food advice. It's all so different from what we eat here in Australia.
lol watching your train leave must have been stressful. I heard some trains have to do that to change tracks. Nice day from riding the rails to lunch to sightseeing. All for one fare.
Lovely day trip. That castle doesn't have to worry about storm surge or tidal wave. The Samurai houses must have been freezing in winter. Rice paper walls and tatami. I would have lived and slept in the kitchen. But what fuel for the fire? Hopefully they had nice silk clothing. Silk os warm.❤
21:06 the canal running down the middle of the street was for "daily water needs"? They got their water from the ditch in the middle of the road?! I wonder if horses were allowed on those roads...
The lunch they served you, looks like an off the shelf ekibento. Even if it tastes good, it looks like you take this train not only for the food, but for the experience it provides. So I'm not saying it's bad value, I'm just saying don't do it purely for the food nor purely for the train ride. It's the combination and the region that makes the experience. Overall it's probably a fun and novel experience, and you get to visit a beautiful castle at the end of it. I hope I'm making sense :)
"I'm ready to eat" 😂😂. I had on a train in Japan a great large Bento meal, but it had a small portion of the bitterest vegetable I have ever tasted. Truly foul. Can anyone tell me what that was? (I mean it was really terrible and I love Japanese food of all kinds).
Could it have been bitter melon? I have only seen them in cooking shows and such. I think they are green and kind of curly when cut into thin strips. I'm just guessing, tho.
I want to recreate one of your ferry trips. The problem is, I want to do it after Golden Week and the ferries haven't figured out their fares yet. Also, I don't think I can film as well as you. I will be testing a GoPro bodycam later in 24/25, but I would like to know what rig you use. When you have a moment...
we have these folding tables in Austria too now, but i assume mostly to hinder the idiots everywhere from putting their dirty shoes on the opposing seats….
The scenery is stunning and the food is ok, but my God, the woman constantly droning on and on and on the loud speaker is so intrusive. Id like to enjoy the trip in silence. I'd definitely wear noise cancelling earphones.
With the train ride, the menu and entrance fees to the castle all included in the ticket price, this is a great deal!

I liked seeing the Samurai residence. I am interested in history.
I am too!
I find this little trains fascinating.
Amazing Train Cafe..
scan the QR code at 4:38 on the video and there's lots of info on this trip

Ohh, cafe train, nice idea.
“I am going to have lunch.”
“But you had lunch on the train!”
“Yes…but not Second Lunch.”
I am now convinced Solo is half Hobbit…

That was a very pleasant trip. Thank you for taking us on your journey.
This was a very enjoyable video, a nice change of pace compared to your other videos.
Thank you for this video! This train has so much to offer for a reasonable price and what a view of the sea in your layover. This would be a nice little excursion.
the first house needs some love and care….
it was surely a nice experience! thanks!
This was so cool! Especially the Samauri houses!
Great now I'm hungry and want to watch an old samurai movie
Amazing ❤
Great value day trip indeed!
Been waiting for a new one. Thanks.

❤❤ Hello Mr. Solo Travel. Barbara here again. This looks like an exciting adventure. I can't wait to go.

Immediately, the first meal, looks 100% better than anything from that "fancy" train from last time.
Wow! Thank you for the video. I always wanted to see a castle but living in Tokyo we are so busy. But for sure want to go!
This would be an adventure I’d love ! But since I’ll never get to your beautiful country, thanks for bringing me along. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 STJ dir🌹

"slow chicken" 😂
Tired kiddos sound the same world wide, don't they? 😢

@@ShellyS2060 I think you are correct. It was totally green and was in thin curley strips.
If the drinks are too hot, add a dash of bottled water.

Is there an English version of the menu for those traveling that do not know how to speak Japanese?
Any idea why the corners are pointed up like.
Nice video.

Was the Yamamoto house you visited Admiral Yamamoto's?
Lunch!?!? What was that first meal? 😅
You are satisfied? Didn’t you eat a full corse meal about an hour ago?
😊😊🏆🏆
❄️Happy National Snowflake and Elf Day everyone ❄️

I was thinking the same thing she went on and on and on. She would have driven me nuts.
This is most trains in Japan, hell, even shelves at grocery stores talk to you they never leave you alone with the noise
