How To Remove Carpet and Baseboards

I am installing new vinyl flooring in some bedrooms. I will be replacing the baseboards as well. Here I show you how to remove the carpet, underlay and smooth edge. I will show you the best way to remove baseboards without damaging the walls.

Everyone should listen to Brett 👍 . When you follow his directions there is no need to replace the old baseboard with a new baseboard that is 6 inches taller. 😆

Great video, Brent. Thx! Quick question: how do you remove carpet under drywall? I tried prying the tack bar, but am still having trouble. Thx for your input!

Why is it under the drywall? Was a new wall built on top of the carpet? Is the tack strip glued or screwed or something? It usually comes out easy when in wood, bit tougher out of concrete sometimes

Brent Darlington ...the homeowner before me had the walls insulated. It seems like he set the new drywall a few inches where the tack strip is laid What would be the least messy way to fix this without ruining the integrity of the drywall. Thx for your quick reply!
