I just got my Jeep Patriot back from the shop today and the rear sags lower than the front. They installed the entire kit, including all 4 struts. Why does the front sit so much higher than the rear?
Did you ever get wan answer to your question? I have a 2016 patriot that the back sags compared to the front. I was going to do exactly what you said you had done to address it. But after seeing this comment I am going to hold off.
Does anyone know how long it takes? I ordered the kit and am having issues finding a shop to put it on and do the alignment. They are saying it’ll be 5-6 hours of labor but it doesn’t seem like it’s that much labor imo. Thanks for any answers!
2 inches is about as high as you can go without damaging the stock suspension. Don't go to 3 inches unless you're willing to start swapping a ton of stuff out.
they had higher ride height than the early ones, maybe they achieved this with different components rather than just heavier springs etc. I'd be curios to know the specifics as well
I plan on installing this on my 2014 Jeep Patriot Latitude. I understand there is a recommended tire size that should be installed with the kit but i cant remember the exact size. I plan on using the wheels that came with the vehicle since they aren't the cheap steel ones which are 17's and just want to know what tire size you recommend and how large you can go before you experience and rubbing from the tire while turning. Also do you have any thoughts on wheel hubcentric wheel spacers? I'd like to widen the stance of our vehicle in addition to the lift and tires but people seem to be split down the middle in terms of spacers. The shop I plan on having my work done won't install them so I figured it would be best to get more advice on them before proceeding in getting some or not getting them at all. Thanks
Recommended Tire Size 245/65R17 Recommended Wheel Backspacing 4.5in We don't offer any wheel spacers for this particular make and model. They are not needed with this particular application and the tire and wheel combo.
I will give everyone a heads up on the strut lift for the Jeep Patriot from RC. DO NOT BUY. I have not seen any reviews etc on the strut lift from Rough Country. I am putting one here. I installed this lift about 5 months ago. The struts are terrible, The do not have enough up travel designed in them so they TOP OUT every time the suspension drops. They also hit very very hard on quick up strokes. Smooth pavement, they ride good as long as they do not have to move more than 1/2 inch. Springs are nice. But the downsides are way to great to keep it. I have had the front strut assemblies replaced by my local dealer as well and the replacements are the same. We also looked to see if it was any other part of the suspension causing this and it's all free and clear pointing to the terrible struts that come with this kit. The rear struts hit just as hard and top out as well. I have a speed bump in my driveway and both front and rear shocks CLUNK badly on this bump. I purchased this kit to replace worn struts and lower control arms. Now, even though my local dealer will refund me the purchase price, I am still out full install labour costs, 2 wheel alginments after the strut replacement and original and I now have to go purchase new struts, springs, mounting hardware for front and rear and new lower control arms. In closing, do not purchase this system. We wanted the extra ground clearance for back country exploring in our jeep, but we can't even be comfortable on smooth pavement.
So that old style Patriot could take a 2 inch lift, but my 2015 sits an inch higher from the factory. Mine is not freedom drive 2 but has the stiffer off road package suspension. I've tried 3 different lifts and from my experience, a 2 inch lift is too much and the inner CV joints start to bind. Is this the reason you changed the kit to a single spacer under the top plate of the strut?
@@RoughCountryTV That sounds great. Is it possible to just purchase the front strut spacer? Since my Jeep is already lifted, I don't need anything else
Yeah...cuz evrybody had a machine to compress struts lol ....and i like how dude just holds the abs line when reinstalling cuz he broke the bolt off and was unable to reinstall it it lol
The kit shown on your website does not have the front upper strut spacer as shown in the video. Was there a design change and why?
Do you have a lift kit for 2014 patriot 2wd???
I have a 2010 Jeep Patriot 4 by 4 Limited. I want to put BF Goodrich K02s on. Will this lift accommodate these tires if I go with 225/65/R17???
You Tube yes it would I have the kit and I’m running on 245/65/R17 General Grapper tires
If all you are going with is 225/65/r17, you will not need a lift. I'm currently running that size w/ ZERO problems.
Can you just replace one tire on jeep Patriot 4x4 if one goes bad?
Does it work for jeep patriot 2017 2WD?
Wish I got to see the results. Advertisements blocking the end
Same with me - _-

Does this lift damage the suspension or any other component of the truck? Thnks

Do you ever plan on making a lift kit for 2007-2009 patriots?
No word on that particular make and model at this time

I have a 08 patriot 4x4 what could I use to lift it
I am getting the Rocky Road Outfitters lift kit, it includes spacers to lift 2 1/8 inch. It looks easier to install than this one too.
can canadian tire do this for me?
Could this kit work on a 2016 jeep compass latitude 4x4?
Yes this kit will work on that make and model.

This looks like the same set up at my 08 4x4 wonder why it will now fit ☹️
Strut spacers don't fit the earlier models

Hey, will this work on a 2010 jeep compass ??
We currently do not offer an option for the 2010 Compass.
This car is a pre restyling type... It is like my 2007 patriot 4wd... Would it fit mine?
No this one is compatible with the 2010-2017 models as noted in the description.
Someone knows a lift kit for 2007-2009 Patriot?
Hi i have a jeep patriot 2008 limited 4x4 this kit fit for my jeep?? Thanks for ur answer
Sorry we currently do not offer anything for the 2008 year model Patriot at this time. Just the 2010-2017
Just wondering but I don't think they changed the suspension at all just wondering if anyone knows what wouldn't work looking to lift my 08 a little
@@andrewpawelkiewicz3182 yeah i just got a 2008 4x4, doesn't seem like there are many lifts available. I wonder why this wouldnt work?
Wait, there’s an aftermarket for THIS car?
Yep... the patriot is actually pretty good offroad with a 2" lift and some better tires. nothing crazy of course.
NC Bowhunter14 well I’ll be damned! Still not worth a Jeep wave in my opinion.

Correct so that the vehicle could maintain geometry.
