Happy holidays! I have a video on Toonsquid 2.0 that you animation lovers can check out! Callipeg also has a new price and is coming to Android! Links in the description.
@@unicornpupart for a big feature like rigging or mesh deformation sure, but these are fundamentals that should’ve been there day one, not almost two years later. Meanwhile dumb shit like Apple Pencil twist and barrel squeeze gets incorporated literally a day or two after the Apple Pencil pro is released. I’m using the beta for ToonSquid 2.0 and it’s working great. I’ve moved on from dreams
They are working on too much things instead of just the most important things like Lasso tool for Dreams. They should only release that ONE most important then everybody would be patient.
Maybe if they just released dreams within procreate in the first place it’d have all the tools……..omega upgrade “animation assist” and that’d been where the functionality of dreams lived, neatly tucked away. The more time passes the more it feels like dreams is a redundant app.
@ I agree but I think dreams was made to increase performance for longer animations and to have a better app years down the line. Procreate is building on tons of old code since it came out in 2011.
I am totally fine with holding off on a release. It means they are prioritizing getting it right rather than rushing something out the door for the sake of meeting an arbitrary date that they set. They are still one of the rare companies doing things right for a change. It's refreshing.
I love procreate and even tho procreate Dreams is shit rn I trust that it will be good eventually so I bought ir just in case they raise the price, lol
@@Savonnedraws apple will probably keep sponsoring them ngl, procreate and procreate dream are mostly the reason why a bunch of people buy ipad pros over the usual drawing tablets
But when, WHEN will they ever add a smart fill/select tool to Procreate...?! And flexibility in clipping layers and groups... these are standard features at this point that the other big art programs have.
Yeah filling in Procreate is such a chore, really make me wonder if there are much cheaper drawing apps with better functionality after the Dreams fiasco…
Hmm I haven’t used pocket in some years. To my knowledge they bring all procreate features to it but later on. Hopefully they don’t discontinue it when they change engines, but they are focused on supporting many devices so I wouldn’t worry
They’re trying to keep support for as many iPad’s as possible, but newer iPad’s are already getting features that other iPad’s don’t have. Hopefully they continue to support all that are listed on their website.

Man don’t scare me like that! I was terrified you were gonna say they’ll introduce subscriptions or some crap. Whew
Sorry bout that lol. It’s probably just bad news for early buyers of dreams
Same man 😭
that's what we call ✨clickbait✨
Same to me! I panicked
Tbh I see so much potential in procreate dreams even if it's hard to get used to, but I can't use it WITHOUT THE LASSO TOOL 😭😭😭
You should check out toonsquid :D
ToonSquid is so much better. I don't understand why everyone is not on it.
@@adelacelle I’m not on it because it won’t play my animated music video without choking and stopping. 🤷🏾
@@adelacelle because toonsquid not on Android
@@ttschannel875 Also why do ToonSquid fanbots keep jumping on PD threads to promote?? 🤔
Toonsquid 2.0 is also on the way and it will have rigging with inverse kinematic and custom mesh deformation. If you’re interested
Thanks for the update on that! So excited 😊😊🎉
I dropped a video on toonsquid 2.0 that you can all check out for the details
@@Savonnedraws thanks!
Excited 😊
I cannot wait. I love ToonSquid.
This is nuts. It’s been a year and a half 😅 dreams still doesn’t have lasso or reference layers
or multi dragging, or frames looping... how is it possible such a popular product not to include the very basics? and why did we wait so long?
it takes a long time to make an update for a animation program and thats ok
we just need to be patient

@@christianr.5868 i agree on that it should be there when the app got announced
the app is still in beta, we can wait.
For me a delayed update is way better than half baked features... Cheers to all..!!
They are working on too much things instead of just the most important things like Lasso tool for Dreams. They should only release that ONE most important then everybody would be patient.
Yes man these lack of updates are delaying my animation!
Exactly. The lasso alone would make it much more viable for short animations. I’m hoping they fix the fill tool and frame management after that

they can't: I'm a software engineer myself and they have to overhaul the entire Procreate Dreams engine to make it work :)

Agreed, I have tons of faith and I don’t know how they can keep this price point when its improved lmao

@@closed661 I think the same. Im considering making a video on that topic and how the app has seemed to be less valuable over time.
Haven't used my Procreate Dreams since I found out that lasso tool is missing 😑
But when, WHEN will they ever add a smart fill/select tool to Procreate...?! And flexibility in clipping layers and groups... these are standard features at this point that the other big art programs have.
Yeah, i dont understand why they keep ignoring those key features

I dont have an ipad yet but they still dont add lasso tool after 12 months whats wrong with them
Earned you a subscriber nice video✨
Appreciate it! 😁
Meanwhile, we're still waiting...
All i wanred was a csp brush import support 😭
I use procreate pocket will that be a issue next year?

Looks really cool. Still wont buy an iPad for this...
I really want them make procreate have login in their app so the art can be saved in app
I would be so OUT for that
What about the quick colour drop option
I think I reported on it in my last procreate video. Not sure where it’s placed in the roadmap because some were an immediate priority and some aren’t
They aren't removing any brushes right?
They might remove some default brushes if they choose to but they have the same brush system so you could just import them back in

He said JIFF! JIFF. it's Giffffffff. Graphics Interchange Format not Jraphics.....
