Lucite is actually a trademark name for a synthetic polymer thermoplastic acrylic. Most traditional bathroom sink knobs are made of acrylic " lucite". So if you have knobs like this take a look at them and touch them and tap them. Honestly I still have a hard time deciding whether or not the piece I have is indeed acrylic. Major collectors know their stuff the last thing I want is an unhappy customer requesting a not as described refund. Lol

One of the things I specialize in is Lucite bangle bracelets. I have not yet found a signed piece. Alexis Bittar and Sorbol bracelets are definitely on my bucket list. A weird thing about Lucite bangles right now is that demand has gone up and they are harder to find and more expensive to source. At the same time, the prices people pay for them have gone down. Some friends just sourced a Lucite bar cart, I am so envious!

snag it. I have more than a hundred.

When I was in college im the 80's lucite was popular. For one of my art class projects i made a lucite backgammon set. I still have it! I guess it would be good money now - even tho I'm not a famous artist. 🤷‍♀️

Soo Frederick Hart is the same artist who sculpted the Three Soldiers at Vietnam Veterans Memorial and other very famous sculptures. He is most famous for Ex Nihilo at the Washington National Cathedral. I learned about all of his art because we had one of his cross sculptures to sell at an estate sale.

I've sold some lucite flowers for a killer profit b4 but your starting point here has my mind doing flips! I passed up a weird lucite set of coasters for $2 the other day that are haunting me 😂 I knew better too!

I have a question not related to lucite but I keep forgetting to ask it. Does pottery always sell decent or is it something that is up and down? I found a piece that to be honest I only picked it up because it was really weird looking. (I always gravitate towards weird). The signature is Luis Blanco and it sounds like his mother was very popular. I can’t find anything like this with google lens.
