My birthday is June 23. I have been trying to find London ticket for that day for two that doesn't cost my whole month paycheck. What a dream it would be to go to her concert. Fingers crossed you can get a ticket to go! What stinks is I received a code to buy Indianapolis tickets but they were sold out by the time I went on to purchase. 😭

marjorie is about her grandmother! she was an opera singer and toward the end of the song when she says “I’d think you were singing to me now” and at the end when it fades out, those are actually Marjorie’s real vocals! she passed away when Taylor was young and had been a huge inspiration for her. she’s credited on the song and it makes me emotional every single time, such a beautiful tribute to her❤️

also, let me just say how refreshing it is to see a man so in tune and comfortable with his emotions! you are absolutely right, humans are meant to feel the depths of all emotions. you can’t experience the high highs without the lows. thank you for your unapologetic vulnerability - it really is lovely to see❤️

And if all that wasn’t enough of a tear jerker - you’ll notice the lights in the crowd through the show; these are from wristbands that are handed out to the audience. In Marjorie though, all the wristbands are off. The lights you’re seeing is the crowd putting up the phone lights. I’m pretty sure every crowd has chosen to do this since the tour started! I’ve been lucky enough to attend this tour twice, the second time being LA night 2, and Marjorie had me instantly weeping both times from the first chords.

The movie is edited to shorten the transitions between eras (costume and set changes) but it was still very seamlessly done.
I’m sure someone has commented this before, but she hired people from Broadway to help plan and choreograph this show. Explains the theatrical elements especially in the last song, Tolerate It. The man at the table is one of her backup dancers.

My grandma was my best friend my whole life. She taught me everything I know about now she has stage 3 Alzheimer’s and has no idea who I am. When she first was diagnosed with dementia I moved in with her and took care of her for several years. Now she is in a special place just for Alzheimer’s disease. I still live in her home. It’s my only way I feel connected with her. I find books that she has had for years that she bought probably before I was even born on all the things that I am connected to. I can still hear her speak to me through them. I relate so much with that song, the second it comes on I’m completely in tears. She doesn’t know who she is anymore. Luke, the staging and transitions are so incredibly perfect, Taylor designs every part of her concerts with a little help from set designers but she tells them what she wants and where and what exact minute the raised platforms should rise and fall, when the office for ‘The Man’ is supposed to appear, when the Evermore Cabin has to appear, what colours the wristband should be for every single song, she is an absolute control freak and you can tell. She doesn’t do anything by halves, she never sleeps.
At the Grammy’s she announced the new album, she will already have all the storyboards ready for the videos, live performances to promote the album and the set designs for the next tour. She is incredible, she’s an absolute perfectionist and she has an incredible team that she has handpicked.

The song she sings straight after she takes her cloak off is Marjorie, a fabulous American opera singer, Marjorie is Taylor’s maternal grandmother

Been watching Taylor Swift reactions from different people and stumbled on you and fell in love with your sensitivity. I’m a 64 year old mother who raised 4 sons with noise for music. My husband and I had to jump ship from the Carolina Panthers five years ago and started pulling for The Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. I couldn’t believe my luck this year when my world collided with the Swifties! I’m thrilled! I am loving the fairytale romance and praying for happily ever after. I have the daughter in my head that I never had! My life has been really difficult over the past years and I buried one of my sons. I fell in a dark hole that I finally clawed out of, but oh how it beckons me to go back in. The positivity of Taylor, the love I feel with the Swifties and the music makes me smile 😊 🩷 Feeling grateful 🙏🏻

I started with the same albums, but didn’t “get” Reputation when I listened the album. Then I watched reaction videos for the Rep tour (especially the opening) and I suddenly got it! For me, this album is best experienced visually.
She does still get 50% of the profits from the original versions.

Oh, I've been waiting for this one! I just love everything about The Eras Tour. The way it can make you feel any emotion within a few minutes is pure gold. Taylor is truly one of a kind artist for sure.
I suggest doing a reaction to all the albums in order after Miss Americana and The Eras Tour. Taylor is known for her lyrics so it would a missed opportunity to not enjoy her brilliant songwriting and stories that she created. Especially when it's evermore and folklore. Those two albums are peak poetry. So, don't forget that!
As for the Marjorie. Yes, it is about Taylor's grandmother. She was an opera singer and you can hear her voice not only in the original song, but in the Eras Tour also. I think Taylor including this song on the tour is the most important thing for her as her grandmother had a huge influence on Taylor. Marjorie's love for music, no doubt, was one of the reasons that Taylor even started doing her thing. As Taylor sings "all your closets of backlogged dreams and how you left them all to me".
I think you should combine Reputation and Speak Now together because Speak Now era has only two songs. That way you can enjoy more!
    Love you!!!

We Swifties struggle to keep up with Taylor's total slayage! She's the GOAT!!!. Taylor is her own muse and she's not afraid to follow wherever the spirit leads her. Genres fall at her feet. We're just going to have to accept that Taylor IS her own genre. It's not pop, not Country, not Rock anymore. It's Taylor Music. It's amazing that she can write songs in such a wide variety of styles and we still recognize it as Taylor Music. It's so distinctive. As Liz Rose said "No one but Taylor can write a Taylor Swift song. "
