That is amazing the fault tolerance is that high on *cough* *cough* a "toy"! Great video and I appreciate you explaining your thought process. I also appreciate the tips along the way such as putting the caps back on to protect the threads. That is invaluable information! Are you even aware you are doing that? It comes across to the viewers as natural. You are a great teacher.
Daryl I really appreciate your feedback man … truly it makes spending the time on these videos worthwhile. I make videos thinking what would I have liked to have known or seen before taking on a task .. keep the comments coming brother, made my day 🤝
Try to get a metal one .. there's some good ones on Amazon or Amains ... If you get another original, try not to shift gears when the vehicle is in motion always stop then change the gear
Idk why i have the same problem but there isnt anything blocking it. It simply wont lock only sometimes, and the part that moves to lock the diffs keeps going out

Appreciate this man 🤝 thank you!
I believe you just saved me so much trouble and diagnosis time! Liked and subscribed!!!!
Seth I know how much I needed a video like this, glad it helped you! Happy Holidays brother 🤝
Thanks for the walkthrough, I have the same issue, although it is the opposite, the diff is locked and jammed and doesn't open
Hope it worked for you Zahed 🤝
Great work!I guess that little ball comes from the 15x21x4mm bearing. I would check that.
Good eye, thanks
Did one of the bearings explode? How did that ball bearing ball get inside? Unless came from factory like that?
Exactly right, came from the factory like that … good 👁️
Great find. Amazing how a tiny thing can jam stuff up.🤘🤘
Right?! Strange wouldn't have thought if I didnt see it
Well thanks. I know where to start looking on my new ultimate hauler rear axle some time.
Thanks Wolfpack 🤝
Nice repair and good video, thanks.
Thanks Carl appreciate it
That means you need new Bearing .the ball was from that.right?
it was an extra piece of metal that got stuck in there from the factory
Excellent work my friend!)🤩💥💯👍👏
Thank you brother 🤝
Thank you! I have the same problem so this video is very helpful!!
Glad it helped! Thanks Mark 🤝
What brand of hex drivers are you using? They look like they would be very comfortable to use.
Hey Daryl, they’re from Protek RC, real easy to work with
Best I’ve used so far
@@RickysGarageVibes I'm a believer in pay once cry once. They are in my shopping cart now.
You won’t be disappointed
very nice 👍😊👍 ~~~
Thank you! Cheers!
My servo won't engage, I even switched it around with the other diff servo then it worked and the other didn't. Do you have any suggestions
Servo burned???
Try to get a metal one .. there's some good ones on Amazon or Amains ... If you get another original, try not to shift gears when the vehicle is in motion always stop then change the gear
@Ricky's Garage Vibes
I have metal servos on the way but I think it might be a receiver issue.
I over greased my diffs and the locker wouldnt engage
Yeah so apparently the two spline parts that engage/disengage are to be bone dry😮. I didn't know this.
Idk why i have the same problem but there isnt anything blocking it. It simply wont lock only sometimes, and the part that moves to lock the diffs keeps going out
Any idea where it came from ?
Likely the factory ... such weird and random
I want to lock all diffs but I don't hear the servos engage when I hit the switch foward
Stock servos are plastic, might be gone - is it make a loud noise? consider metal servos next
