The bus in that box is tinned copper. Looks like aluminum, but it's not. I'm waiting for siemens to deliver that exact box. Neat to see srp putting in 350kcmil for the 400 amp service. Gives me a good idea what they are going to do for me. I'm going to be doing overhead though.
No, I went with REC Alpha panels that, at least from the specs, are expected to have greater longevity. Tesla has the lowest sticker price by far (probably mid-$20K), but the direct consumer reviews are horrid and I am not a fan a Tesla. I don't know where you are and what variables you have, but for something this involved you'd probably be low $30K's. There was a lot more to this site than what is shown though.
No, as there isn't a compelling financial reason to get them. After doing the math, I would need the price (and size) of the units needs to drop significantly. The novelty is worth nothing to me and the proprietary interface over what is essentially laptop batteries seems more like an unnecessary liability.
Do you happen to know the model number for this panel?

Do you think that it would be possible to install a 400 amp service panel with a 200 amp sub panel in a residential situation??
Yup, that's actually what I did. The 400A main goes to 2x 200A subs.
Is the 11.4kw system a tesla system? I'm curious how much an upgrade like this goes for typically. Getting a 16kw system installed in about a month.

Where are you at in Arizona and who did your service?
SRP and some local licensed subs
Did you get a powerwall or thinking of getting one?
