Just now I realized I'm also a chef since childhood 😅 I used to dip bread in milk n sugar solution and then roast it on oiled hot tawa..yummy..just the reverse of what is being shown here

My mom used to give me a mixture of milk, rice and jaggery(gud) on days when she could not prepare any sweet dish... It was quick and simple and i used to absolutely love it...i still crave for it ☺️

She used to make it by jave by hand with wheat dough and then used to air dry them for 2 days. After that used to make those in desi ghee and sugar nothing else.
Its being more that 11 years I had that but I still have that taste in my mouth.
My mom used to prepare this dessert for me in my childhood but without adding custard powder...she used to toast the bread with cow ghee, boil the milk till the quantity reduces to half ( thick consistency) then added sugar, elaichi powder and finally the toasted bread slices into it and then garnish it with fried kishmish, cashews and almonds....i had it recently also😋😋 I will try this time with custard powder

Milk with parle G .. I used to take thali n made layer of single parle g biscuits n poured milk.. n my breakfast was ready.. I really enjoyed it..
