It took me a while to appreciate it but all things considered it is. As where Era Vulgaris got the jagged retard out I feel like this is Josh's contribution to classic rock, a legacy piece.
@@SpecialKurbis way to correct me 3 years later when the paradigm has significantly shifted 🤣. And believe it or not - QOTSA is STILL not as popular as lesser talented bands like Muse or peer-level acts like Foo Fighters.
I honestly lost track of how many bands that I've seen live? But I've been going to concerts since 1968ish? Not to mention all the albums over the years, and no band comes close! Each member of this band blows my mind!?
Here's a tip on how to youtube "don't bury the lead". This is an amazing performance and it should have a million views by now! No one cares that this is an Austin City Web Exclusive. By the time you get half way through the title you've already lost most peoples interest. Performers get first billing on the internet.
Verse 1] Everyone, it seems Has somewhere to go And the faster the world spins The shorter the lights will glow And I'm swimming in the night Chasing down the moon The deeper in the water The more I long for you [Chorus 1] Most of what you see, my dear, is purely for show Because not everything that goes around comes back around, you know Holdin' on too long is just a fear of letting go Because not everything that goes around comes back around, you know One thing that is clear, it's all downhill from here [Instrumental Break] [Verse 2] The love line in your hand Cleverly disguised All the promises of stone Crumble in the light [Chorus 2] Most of what you see, my dear, is worth letting go Because not everything that goes around comes back around, you know Holdin' on too long is just a fear of what to show Because not everything that goes around comes back around, you know Not everything that goes around comes back around, you know One thing that is clear, it's all downhill from here Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Does anybody know what keyboard is being used, there's a good shot of it at around 1:30 and I can see it's a Helpinstill, I believe it's a Roadmaster but they made so many of those keyboards back then. If it is, it must cost a fortune. The sound is perfect IMO, it must be great to have access to all that old equipment. His whole setup is insane, it's amazing how good every musician has been that's performed with this band, truly a great performance. These guys are some of the last really great rock bands, in a sea of stagnant music. Hope the band continues to do well, this performance is good but the one on Letterman that's on here is just a little bit better! Every one of these guys could probably pick up any instrument and play it masterfully, so much talent on that stage.
I think that some of you might want to do me in, but I think John Theodore, is the best drummer Queens ever had! Yes I know what I'm saying, and I stand by it!
We are overdue for a Kyuss reunion. Put everything aside and do this for the generator... before your true fans die. Mr Bungle is dope but you goddamn know that you and John Garcia could tour as a duo.
'Like Clockwork' is easily one of the best albums of this century.
Very easy!
It’ll be a “Sgt Pepper” or “Nevermind” in about 5 years. (From 2021)...if we survive...but if the world gonna burn let this be the soundtrack!! 😂
I couldn’t agree more on that

I am always so blown away both by the musicianship and the fact that so many people STILL do not know about QotSA!
I kinda like it this way so they don't get too famous.
Lmao, i think they are more than known...

This really feels like classic Pink Floyd when I close my eyes then I see Josh and I am stunned, I need to reinvest time into this album
OMG, the lyrics are so profound! That's life in a nutshell right here.
You can't do it better. Composition, lyrics, performance - simply outstanding.
This is even better than the album version. And god damn Josh sounds and looks amazing.

Mikey really shines in this song. Amazing stuff as always
WOW! These goosebumps may never go away! That was crazy good!
This is their best, definitely, what a band.
Well Damn ya made me cry Queens. This song hits my Soul.🎶💙
Verse 1]
Everyone, it seems
Has somewhere to go
And the faster the world spins
The shorter the lights will glow
And I'm swimming in the night
Chasing down the moon
The deeper in the water
The more I long for you
[Chorus 1]
Most of what you see, my dear, is purely for show
Because not everything that goes around comes back around, you know
Holdin' on too long is just a fear of letting go
Because not everything that goes around comes back around, you know
One thing that is clear, it's all downhill from here
[Instrumental Break]
[Verse 2]
The love line in your hand
Cleverly disguised
All the promises of stone
Crumble in the light
[Chorus 2]
Most of what you see, my dear, is worth letting go
Because not everything that goes around comes back around, you know
Holdin' on too long is just a fear of what to show
Because not everything that goes around comes back around, you know
Not everything that goes around comes back around, you know
One thing that is clear, it's all downhill from here
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Holy shit this version is awesome
It's literally the same. Just slower
@@ggthewhale nah Dean does piano fills here and it doesn’t have the strings at all.
Chills all the way! What a crazy performance.
Why EVERYONE isn't constantly talking about Josh's range (AND HOTNESS) is beyond me! Ginger Elvis crushes! (and not just my ovaries).
La virtuosité au service de la beauté.
