  • I'm thrilled to share my recent interview on the Scott Mys Show, where I had the opportunity to dive deep into topics that are close to my heart and central to my practice at Nutrition with Judy. As a Board-Certified Holistic Nutritionist, I've dedicated my career to understanding and teaching the principles of root-cause healing, and this conversation was a wonderful platform to explore these concepts further.
In our discussion, I shed light on the complexities of Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) and its profound impact on health. My approach, which has successfully aided over hundreds of clients, goes beyond just addressing symptoms. I emphasize the importance of a holistic approach that includes diet, mental wellness, lifestyle, and minimizing exposure to harmful environmental factors.
This interview was an incredible opportunity for me to share my insights on the Carnivore Diet, its role in healing, and how it fits into a broader strategy for tackling health issues at their root. Whether you're already a part of the Carnivore community or just beginning to explore the concept of holistic health, I believe there's something in this conversation for everyone.
I invite you to join me in this enlightening episode on the Scott Mys Show. It's more than just an interview; it's a comprehensive look into how we can all achieve better health and wellness by understanding and addressing the underlying causes of our health concerns.
Tune in to hear the full story of my journey and the principles that guide my practice. I'm excited to share this with you and hope it inspires you on your own path to health and healing.

Judy, I skipped over all your CIRS videos as I didn't think they applied to me. But after 18 months of strict carnivore (and many years of "clean" eating/living) I thought I should feel better, have better health and more energy than ever...but I don't. I ran out of videos to watch and finally watched all your CIRS videos. Turns out my 28 years of sinus issues is due to MARCoNS. Just began consulting with a ND and testing for CIRS. Judy, Thank you for all that you are doing and don't be discouraged. Eventually people will find your info when they are ready to receive it.

your story is actually pretty typical for those of us who have cirs. I also have cirs and found out because of judy. and the more you learn, lots of ppl in this low carb/carnivore community have cirs. carnivore is a bandaid usually for those types but part of the issue is some ppl in this space are sending the message to carnivore harder when then person actually just has cirs and trying to do it harder won't help at all if your cirs is way out of control

Folks, my son has been suffering from CIRS since August of 2022, but just diagnosed in the last month. I can’t recommend Judy Cho’s practice as her team’s professional assessment, blood work analysis detailed write up, step by step process is 2nd to none. The resources she provides are put together in an organized way. If you want to toy around and dabble through this on your own, good luck. But after suffering through this for so long, it’s time to call in a professional team like NwJ.

I've been on carnivore/keto since feb, strict carnivore since July and have not lost weight,my glucose won't go down under 150 and usually stays 180-250 while fasting, still have some inflammation, pain, ect, after seeing a few of your interviews about cirs, I did the symptom log and I have all 13 clusters, then the vision test and failed it. I looked back at my life and could pinpoint exposures and when I got sicker. I'm now patiently waiting for my first appt in December with a cirs doctor... thank you so much for all your information! Without it, I would never have gotten to this point and I would just be taking meds and injections my endo is wanting to put me on. Not to mention, frustrated and depressed because carnivore and keto by itself was just not working anymore.

Thank you for covering cirs. Been trying to recover from cirs for a few years. Lived in 4 places with water damage, not counting the 100 year old house I lived in as a kid. No lyme, but had strep too many times to count. Also spine issues and a ton of food allergies including cows milk, so struggling with getting enough fat in the diet.

This was wonderful. There was more useful information in 3/4 of an hour than days worth of other YT videos. I knew about keto 50 years ago and knew from Stephansson's work in northern Canada that carnivore is healthy for generation after generation.
There's no question about it being a superior way of eating.
I also knew there was something wrong. I wasn't in a healthy body so I gave up on that way of eating. When I first saw your video about CIRS, it was such a revelation. I'm doing what I can to clear out decades of clutter in my cells and I want to thank you, Judy, for the hope I have of being able to function in a way that brings me joy.
As far as your numbers being low for your videos about CIRS, well, consider this: you are not just on the cutting edge, you are riding a molecule that's out in front of the cutting edge and there are, so far, relatively few people who can keep up with that. But, for every one of us who want to hear your advanced information, there are thousands who will want to hear it when they can and will be as grateful as I was.
I invented a new word: autodogmatism - the instant refusal to listen to anything that doesn't sound like everything else one has heard, a demand that only what is familiar be presented.
May you be blessed according to the many blessings you provide.

Judy you are a lifesaver!!!! Best Quote Ever "If coffee is derailing your diet there is something wrong!!! " It is more than coffee! I am one of those people that has a horrible time regulating my electrolytes.. crazy thirst, crazy peeing even at night, no amount of salt helps... Welchol for 1 months after VCS test positive. I had forgotten about CIRS, because I did not try keto/carnivore at the time. Watching my husband drop 30 pounds, lower blood pressure, sleep apnea improved, looks great, feels amazing....meanwhile I slowly inch toward just slightly better than yesterday. When I am really discouraged, I listen to you!!!

I cannot afford the testing and cure at the moment, but you give tips on how to keep my environment as healthy as possible, and that's enough for now. I love too that you are working from a very scientific basis and wanting to create studies that support the information you give.

Judy, I've run into two very frustrating situations. I'm on a mission to help people understand about CIRS and get to the root cause and treat it. The first step is so simple! Just take the VCS test. I mean, how simple is that? And it lets you know if you need to seek further testing and consultation with a CIRS specialist. So I get two pushbacks. 1. Oh, yeah, I took the test, and failed it but [insert excuse for not going further here]. Knowing that CIRS actually cause the brain to atrophy and as far as we know, the only real way to reverse it is through the Shoemaker protocol, why wouldn't someone continue? It's expensive? Darn right it is! Less expensive than spending the last 10 years of my life in a nursing home not recognizing my family! Situation 2. Oh, I don't want to do the Shoemaker protocol, I know some people it didn't work for. I have lots of questions! But I get no answers, at least no knowledgable ones. Some people have said, "I don't want to take cholestyramine." Well, great! I'm not taking it and I AM doing the Shoemaker protocol. And for those people for whom it didn't work, were they truly out of exposure? So many questions and never any good answers! People keep treating their SIBO or their MCAS or pick your favorite illness that is connected to CIRS, and they'll be treating them forever without addressing CIRS. It truly breaks my heart. I'm going to make a video I hope will help people understand CIRS better so they will get the right treatment and not chase after symptoms.

You can make a room a safe haven. I have a "CIRS on a budget" video. I never want you to just accept symptoms. Clean ONE room and try to make it mold-free as possible. Clean the sheets, walls and no carpet. Get a air purifier, limit papers, books. Then get on the binder. It may make a HUGE difference in tandem with carnivore. Don't give up. ❤

One very frustrating thing for me is often Dr.s told me "let's just try X for a while and see," but the X was the lastest thing, not well researched, faulty reserch, etc. I finally decided if my Dr. is going to experiment on me, maybe I could guide the experiment toward a better thing: I decided the quickest work around to trying to treat CIRS is thru Welchol as a Cholersterol lowering med. I tried Carnivore and still feel horrible. I took the VCS and I was positive. I am taking Welchol to "lower my cholesterol" I can at least see I am feeling better. If you try what I did, test positive on VCS, it might work, or you might have other things going on, might need to see other Dr.s, it might not be the whole story. ...I am also pretty sure I have SIBO because of some serious nurtition defecencys that should resolve with Carnivore, that aren't...like B12.

I think it's a mix of everything. in January, we're releasing a mind-body program (initially just for our clients), but also a carnivore group, and we have our existing mold group. We've found that it's a mix of diet, mind-body AND cleaning the environment that can really help people heal. We've been trained under DNRS and it has not moved the needle enough for everyone. In fact, we have some clients that were referred to us from DNRS coaches. There's sometimes more than just mind-body, but there's also more than just environmental clean up. If you have trauma, it has to be addressed. I know it's not the answer you're probably looking for, but it's healing all the mind, body and spirit

Judy, I have been diagnosed 23 years ago with CFS an CEB. CFS and SIRS seem very similar. Is this correct? Will the Carnivore Diet be of help?

💯 % Judy. My wife got sick many years ago that showed many various symptoms over time that went misdiagnosed with many doctors until her dad figured out it was mold poisoning. She lost her ability to function clearly. Mold is no joke.

Is zeolite the best over the counter binder on the market ? Is it better than clay, charcoal, etc?

    • @NutritionwithJudy
      @NutritionwithJudy  6 месяцев назад

for mold, per research studies, it's beet root and okra (like this one: www.nutritionwithjudy.com/shopping/immune-support/mycobind) Zeolite is a good general binder, just make sure you get a quality form otherwise it can be contaminated with heavy metals.

@@NutritionwithJudy is mycobind alone effective enough to remove mold from body assuming I’m in a clear environment now or is the Rx CSM power required ?

I don't think he works with anyone one on one anymore but I know he hears a TON of success stories (as do we!) but we focus on helping the population of Carnivores that it doesn't fully work.

Been wrestling with carnivore since 2018 wondering when the hell it's finally going to start actually working. Like I'm talking I was doing this before Baker, at least publicly. I would think the major benefits should kick in after 4 or 5 years? Getting so aggravated by all the bigshot influencers, especially the big name MDs with the large followings, spreading misinformation bragging that it's a miracle magic bullet, which it's not. Are you taking on new clients at this point and what are the costs to get started with you?

I’m sad and frustrated. Carnivore has had zero effect on my chronic inflammatory disease (psoriatic arthritis) and general autoimmune over reaction. I’ve reverted to keto.
I live in a dry temperate climate in a bone dry marble lined house. It only rains 30 or so a days a year. My environment is as good as you can get. I’d like to believe there is a root cause that I can modify with lifestyle and it’s not simply genetics. I’m at a loss what to try next.

    • @eugeniebreida1583
      @eugeniebreida1583 6 месяцев назад

PsA here, as well. Diet can reduce a modicum of inflammation, if one can eat only non-reactive, but high nutrition foods/supps/sleep/ex/low-stress/sauna/red light therapy…etc etc.
But realistically we should ALSO take hardcore immune suppressants, if we only could know which one works, and w/trifling side effects.
      Very tough nut to crack.
(I must admit that one month of very hardcore paleo-keto - which is fat to protein ratio of 2-1 - DID seem to work for me. However I lost too much weight and the ability to sleep w/such high level ketosis. I was forced to take on carbs/lower fat, ended the diet abruptly. Looking back maybe I should have just lowered fat rato drastically/added low carb leafy greens etc, and upped the protein)

May I ask your specific “keto” foods? The term seems so broad.)

    • @Fishster
      @Fishster 6 месяцев назад +1

@@eugeniebreida1583 Sure. Mainly whole foods. Most protein and fat from meat and fish. Carbs a mixed bag mainly low carb vegetables - cruciferous greens, avos of course, all the keto faves. More borderline I’ll have a tomato In salad and a handful of berries as a desert sometimes . Snacks macadamias (cut out almonds because oxalates) and pork rinds mainly. The diet is only for health not weight.
Your right about what people think they mean by keto but at the end of the day you’re either in ketosis or not. Some people consume all sorts of ‘frankenfoods’ to get there.

@@eugeniebreida1583 Thanks for commenting.. I’ve gone full carnivore on a couple of occasions, this last time for a couple of months. With no noticeable change to the symptoms I re-introduced some veg. I’m not very far along the path of trying drugs until they get one that works. They need quite close monitoring and I’m not living where I’m being treated. I’ve had to defer the next candidate.
Just had a root canal because of pain. Turns out the nerve was quite healthy just the whole area of pulp and nerve was inflamed. So even have inflammation in my teeth! F*&£ing disease.

I have avoided the big guns drugs as well, and would like to share ideas that might help, most of which I 'do' (first list, will come back when I remember others).
      baby aspirin
      fish oil
      ubiquinol
      niacin (along w/the other b's)
      arugula, arugula, garlic (LOTS)
what I think I SHOULD be trying asap:
      drinking more water
daily epsom/magnesium soaks (for relaxation AND more mag w/out loose stool)
      red light therapy
      infra red 'light' therapy
      plain old sauna (heat therapy)
vagus nerve 'stimulation'/improve parasympathetic nervous system)
NATTOKINASE to soften blood/vessels - proteolytic enzyme (gave me diahrea when taken therapeutically - meaning w/out food, bummer, as I think it would really really help PsA and many similar conditions)
NOT couch surfing my condition for hours (stagnant circulation)
I am really trying to find more antiplatelet aggregation supplements, more nitric oxide increasing foods/drugs/orals, more anti-coagulation therapies . . . I think many autoimmune boil down to vascular injury/delivery via vascular of these damaging cytokines, all gets chewed up along the way.

You're a bulldog. You have your teeth into this health thing. Thanks for understanding that our little indiscretions, our just short of perfection behaviors will not spoil our results. I believe my autoimmune is diet related. I didn't know carnivore was for regular people. Carnivore were for extremists and body builders before people like you made it possible for people like me to practice.
