I have a 2005 EXACTLY like yours. I have had it for 6 years and love every second of it. We have had a blast in it. And yes, you do have to do some minor repairs, but I enjoy doing that when I get home. Oh and I really love the additional storage in the outside front that most A-Liners dont have anymore.
Going to miss the Aliner. Inspired me to look at one. Literally going to buy one next weekend. Keeping the RTT for remote and getting the Aliner for a little more comfort to throw into the mix!
I love you’re energy, always exploring new ways to enjoy life! I have an aliner myself that im modifying to fit my Tacoma, maybe we’ll cross paths on the trail someday day
03:32 I quit calling them 'twenties'. I realized they hold 4.2-gallons, so this must be less than twenty, right? I read the label, and right there in big print it says 'fifteen pounds'. . And a 'pint' of ice-cream is fourteen ounces instead of the standard sixteen. Each lower amount to the customer equals a deflation of value... ...aka 'less for the money'... ...aka inflation.
PHIL!!! The A-Liner?? Dude that thing has been thru so much!!! I’ll have to go back to all the previous episodes and check out the A-Liner!! Can’t wait to see the new camper build!!!
A good project for it would be to pull the axle and suspension. Then mount the trailer to a flat ATV [dual axle] trailer. That allows now enough room to put a ATV on the back and have the A Liner up front to camp from. When the ATV is off that small area becomes a make shift patio. Will work well for your parents to keep there. But additionally as a fun toy hauler camping setup. Not great for Overlanding. Just a weekend camping trip with the ATV... Used to be a common inexpensive conversion. I believe now there are some manufacturers that have started making them. Just a option for them... or yeah good deal for them and you. Good little camp trailers we drug across the country behind our station wagon.... certainly not off road. Hopefully you start on your cabin build soon.... summer is rapidly approaching and the temperatures will be rising.....Don't forget to include a good smokeless fire pit and grill for cooking and leisure... several diy vlogs on RUclips for your assistance in making it.
They used to make a Chalet or A-Liner with a motorcycle/atv box on the (extended) tongue. Not much of an approach/departure angle with one, and I doubt it'd handle very rough roads.
I've been keeping an eye out for an aliner since you got one. They're so cool, and I wouldn't offroad it. I think it's a great option for a portable cabin, but the cabin you're looking to build will definitely be a better long term solution.
Concrete block buried in a berm, fire-resistant steel roof, the walls insulated on the outside for the beneficial thermal mass, clerestory windows for the solar gain. Brilliant! ruclips.net/video/O21fEIRsSPU/видео.html
A liners not really designed to go off road and when you visit a dealer there are always bunch of them in for service for failing seals among a bunch of other defects.
Selling it to who??? Your parents!! Come’on now, you know you shouldn’t really be selling it to your parents. What it should be is that your parents are going to help you purchase some materials that are needed to build your cabin! That is how it is supposed to be!! That way your parents feel better about helping you carry on with your endeavours. They would be doing you a favour not the other way around. Anyway you put it, you would think it would stay where it is!! It is a perfect little guest cabin, and a nice one at that. In a perfect spot. Great place to sneak away to for an afternoon nap!!! Hope your Jeep build goes well soon!! Great video!!!
Huh? That sounds like the same thing with extra steps lol, plus this way his parents get something out of it, and something they can use. I've sold things to my parent and I've bought things off them. It's no biggie.
Bro leave Phil alone. Maybe his parents need a new camper, they're expensive AF rn. He didn't wake up and love the outdoors. His parent's probably love camping too. When Elon Musk sells stocks to his brother nobody bats an eye.
LOL! "I don't think I beat it," and shows how he beat it. Your A-Liner took some punishment, but I get where you don't think you were crazy with it or anything. My solution would be to re-do the suspension on an older one. Either buy one with the Trailboss lift and tires, or just a regular one, and do the redneck lift, myself. Add coil springs and air shocks. The prices the used ones go for, I could afford some nice mods. With better suspension, I think the other stuff will hold up just fine to what you put yours through.
Been there done that, not only don’t like nonpaved roads but they leak heavy rain and high wind can kill them. If you want to do more than KOA look else where.
Oregon Building Code: a) As I understand it, a room with less than five feet floor-to-ceiling is not counted in the square feet. b) As I understand it, a self-supporting 'pop-out' such as a window-seat bay-window is not counted in the square feet. . Eugene, Oregon. Aux dwelling units (ADUs) can be 200sf. With a short -- less than 60" -- ceiling loft, the usable square feet can double while remaining within the 200sf footprint. Add a window-seat bay-window on each wall, and the usable square feet can be nearly triple the taxable footprint. . In an attic conversion, only the standing space -- under the peak -- of more than the five-foot maximum counts as taxable square feet. An attic conversion extending the living-space into the eaves can equal the building footprint with little impact on property taxes. . Repairs to an existing shed: a) A wall can be repaired by replacing studs and plates, then sheathing with new material. b) Another wall may need similar repairs. c) The roof may need repairs to protect the repairs to the four walls. A few rafters, new sheathing, new shingles. Over the course of a couple-three weekends, an 'old' shed 'repaired' with all new materials... ... can be used as an ADU with zero permits. . Eugene, similar to most places, has a lack of low- and moderate-income housing. The inspectors only respond to complaints, so if your renters avoid complaining, they keep their cheap residence, and everybody is happy. Unfortunately for snitches, if their complaint generates an inspection, their living space may be 'condemned', a legal term meaning it cannot be occupied as a residence. The renter loses her ADU or attic conversion, the property owner loses that income and a second set of eyes while the owner is shopping or getting a haircut, the tax-burner crowd lose that taxable living space... ... so, as you might expect, the inspectors are slow to respond to snitches.
Snow Camping, That's why it was the most viewed probably. I'm just now trying to get my channel going I had planned on doing overland videos with my son who has autism. But that's easier said than done.
You could do a the occasional Aliner Cameo Vid with your parents and their friends camping on the back 40 🙌🏻😊🫶🏻🌵🌞⛺️ I love my little Aliner, would break my heart to give her up but I’m an old lady and you two are young and crazy, you definitely need room to branch out and explore!❤️ Best of luck on your new adventures 😎😎
I love the a liner I love to bye it but I can't sorry to see it go love you. Guys you and Julie I watch you both k take it easy have a beer for me k guys I had to quit drinking because of health problems years ago still miss a good beer though
Yo buddy did it sell I. was looking at these I've always wanted to travel about . not to live in it but spend weekend s away but you probably can't just park it up here in the UK respect bro I bet you and the wifey had good time in it I definitely won't a shage mobill 🤣✌️
Hey could you link your most viewed Vid? I'm sure I've seen it, but can be positive...I generally have to Binge Vids, so wouldnt want to miss that one...
Somehow I can't see you, your girlfriend ad the pooch being comfortable in the new camper. It's so much smaller than the A Liner. I towed a 12' Pop Up Camper behind my Extreme SASed Rodeo and lived ever minute with it. Only replaced it because I bought a Class A and my Cousin really wanted the 1207 Jayco. Wish I'd never sold it. Mainly because I had done so many off road upgrades to the Jayco so that it would go a lot of places people only dreamed of having them at. You're going to miss the A Liner...
* Replace the axle with a 5200#, and eight-lug ends, wheels/tires to match the tow-vehicle. * A few hundred pounds of steel judiciously added to the frame in key areas.
“Not really an off road trailer….” Some of the trailers which you think are an off road trailer really aren’t an off road trailer either. On to the next chapter for you guys.
@4:05, you aren’t six years old anymore. So many fun places I’ve “gone“. Why is it 3/4 of the country thinks you’re supposed to say went? Time to freaking grow up.
“Not an off-road trailer” yet takes it off-road and wonders why it breaks down. It was really inappropriate for what you doing with it. Good luck with the fitted camper.
So, Mom and Dad buy off-road property for you to enjoy for free, and then, instead of saying thank you and giving them your used and abused Aliner, you sell it to them🥴🥴🥴
I remember that video with the Aligner...glad it's staying in the family. You guys rock...
I would keep the A-Liner right where it is for a guest cabin or for a place for you to hang out in.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
We will miss the aliner , but you have to do what’s best for you ❤❤❤❤thank for the memories.
I have a 2005 EXACTLY like yours. I have had it for 6 years and love every second of it. We have had a blast in it. Yes time to move on. Aliner. Looking forward to seeing the truck camper. Then the cabin.

I love the A-liner! Glad it'll still be around 💙 Excited to see your Cabin take shape too.
To see Juli and you make ever a smile on my face, thank you...i like you both

The A liner in the snow video is the one that introduced me to the channel and when I started watching. Best of luck with the new build and plans

Ya know what. Ive off roaded it several times and the only real issue some loose screws. So far....Mines a 2005 Expedition.
Glad you can make the change. Change is not always easy but we can adapt.

@Brad,
I see your point.
Each time I take money from my pocket to put in my wallet, the tax-burner crowd want a percentage.
isn’t he building a cabin and staying on his parents property? selling it to his parents after all they have done for him. bad form.
Reinforced my desire to buy ones of these while I build my home in Northern Washington State. :)
Ahh man, gonna miss it. Helped inspire me to get mine, though I did spring for the off road package haha.
Knew you loved that A-Liner! 👍🇨🇦🔥🌲She was great!

Dude I just bought an Aliner! Love it! Perfect for us...good swap for you! Lers see that Bison mobster!
OMG, how cute is Taffy 🐕❤ and you're a cutie too Koda❤. Love the video and can't wait to see your new rig❣️
Been there done that, not only don’t like nonpaved roads but they leak heavy rain and high wind can kill them. If you want to do more than KOA look else where.
That A-Liner was definitely DOWN TO MOB!!!!
After the Bison Camper is installed then its time to do a 392 swap!! I hope your Bison Camper swap goes well.
Remove the axle and pur it on top of cabin. Not counted as square footage but a guest apartment….

Watching from Hawaii ,really enjoy watching your videos 👍
I hope that the next oboe looks a bit more tidy that this one.
Abode
Aliners are an innovative design for sure.
Outstanding! Thanks

where is that PNW camp area you show in this video?
Too bad you two don't seem to get along. Heh. Great vibe from you guys.
Will miss the Aliner owned one my self for a while but my wife thought it was to trailer park.
This would have been the time to do a lift kit ground clearance options. I've done them before
Flat deck on the jeep with tools and mountain bikes and RC and kayaks. And lifted a liner in tow. So much more room to live out of.
Awesome video Phil
Hello. Have a safe blessed day!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Wow, a lot can go wrong with a trailer. Good video.
Yo this thing could change my life mane! Looking to
Go full nomad. Towing with a 2-door Tahoe

Do these leak in the rain?
personally I prefer pop-up tent campers. they are about 10,000$ less lighter and more room wen setup.
Where did yall buy an Ewok! I want one!😂
Too much fried food. I want you two to live a long time and continue to travel. I see more greens and beans in your future.
Yeah, you were easy on it alright.😂😂😂
Somehow I can't see you, your girlfriend ad the pooch being comfortable in the new camper. It's so much smaller than the A Liner. I towed a 12' Pop Up Camper behind my Extreme SASed Rodeo and lived ever minute with it.

Is the roof top tent on your jeep going onto Julie's FJ?
What are you going to sleep in when you end up rolling your jeep?
Awesome 👏 love ❤️ it
I want to see your new house..?!
It a time when you must make room for your camper on your truck you've got do it

Alienware laptop that's a true gamer 😁
HOW MUCH DO YA WANT
i want the ewok!
WHAT A JOKE. THE ALINER IN THIS VIDEO IS ANCIENT. HOW WOULD YOU EXPECT IT TO HOLD UP TO YOUR ABUSE.
😮 1st time you slept together 😂
Are you guys going to build your own cabin?
09:16
"... so excited to get the cabin going...'
You are welcome.
I miss the dodge :(
“Not really an off road trailer….” Some of the trailers which you think are an off road trailer really aren’t an off road trailer either. On to the next chapter for you guys.
🥓🥓🥓You had me at bacon🥓🥓🥓
Aliners. Rock...
Don’t tell me you didn’t give that pup a good big bite of the bacon cheese stuff!! How could you deny a carnivore a bacon burrito ?
April Fools, you are keeping it?!
We just sold our Aliner and bought a new larger one.
1 more video in 6 months....camp with the parents and show them loving the ALINER.
Chorizo burritos
Pretty thin frame metal.
Don’t sell the A-Liner. Give it away to your fans to whom who guesses the secret number between 1 and 16,789. 🤷♂️
Have you sold your Aliner?
@4:05, you aren’t six years old anymore. So many fun places I’ve “gone“. Why is it 3/4 of the country thinks you’re supposed to say went? Time to freaking grow up.
dude...that thing was never tough enough for ewe...it is obviously NOT down to mob...
A-Liner is not full time RV..... not good for cold and hot weathers.....
“Not an off-road trailer” yet takes it off-road and wonders why it breaks down. It was really inappropriate for what you doing with it. Good luck with the fitted camper.
Water sucks ! Gatorade is better !! Lol
Artificial colors and high-fructose corn-syrup [feels intelligence slipping away as those words are writ].
wooow casadia heart attack 😱😱 clog those arteries guys....🤦🏻♂️
unhitch trailer, pivot, re-hitch 5 minutes
❤
Donate it to me. I'm poor and would love to do what you do.
So, Mom and Dad buy off-road property for you to enjoy for free, and then, instead of saying thank you and giving them your used and abused Aliner, you sell it to them🥴🥴🥴
You don't treat any of your equipment right $200.00 for A liner you deliver
