You know, at this time, everyone's at level 200.
Surprise! It's the surprising cameo team battle at the coliseum if you manage to clear team battle in advanced mode. In this special fight, you're dealing against Reid Hershel (Tales of Eternia, NOT Destiny II), Mint Adnade (Tales of Phantasia), Philia Philis (Tales of Destiny), and Nanaly Fletch (Tales of Destiny II).
Key Notes:
- No matter what happens, it's a given the first enemy boss you kill will be revived with a Life Bottle from another teammate (they know the skill Inventory). They thankfully don't have an infinite supply of them.
- There's so much chaos with four bosses at the same time, so focusing attacks on just one member can be quite suicidal. But if you ask me...
Reid Hershel - HP: 280000
- He's the fighter type of the group, and the one who can be a total pain to beat. He's set to use Burning Phoenix right after he uses Rising Phoenix all the time. In addition to that, he has a revive all Mystic Arte that activates the moment he's going down. By the way, don't let his attacks fool you, because all of his attacks are skills Luke and Guy already use. It's just that Reid's attacks are named differently.
Mint Adnade - HP: 210000
- She should go down first since she occasionally heals party members. That, and she gives buffs. She's a big stone wall. Her high defenses for both fields can be disheartening...
Philia Philis - HP: 175000
- She doesn't look like it, but she's dangerous attacking physically and magically. If she uses Philia Bomb, it WILL most likely kill a character. Her Mystic Artes are basically the same party nuker kind so be extremely careful once she pulls them off.
Nanaly Fletch - HP: 245000
- She's equally annoying as Reid is. She casts low level spells that can stun characters (if you don't have anti-stagger) and then follow up with arrow attacks. She likes using Hourglass a few times as well.
- METEOR CRUSH FINISH!
Comments:
- I so like all the chaos all over the place. This is my style of battle. :D
- I think Jade incinerated all the four with that last Mystic Cage.
- If anyone's wondering, the first track of the battle is called "Everlasting Fight". The second one after Reid uses his second Mystic Arte is called "Eternal Mind".
Watch, enjoy, and comment, everyone. - Игры
4:12 Poor Mint. Her little “stop it!” was adorable
Reid: *last man standing*
Also Reid: *uses Aurora Wall and revives all party members*
Me, who played ToE: WAIT, THATS ILLEGAL!
At least he didn't do the Aurora Sword
The most important thing about the fight... "Cake" was cooked
@Shane Douglas Here. I baked Stew.
Best thing about this fight is Reid using his old localized names for his artes.
A throwback that really only works for the American audience
Oh dang, i didnt even realize that.
Mint (critically wounded): "Please don't hate me! (Time Stop... Revitalize)"
Riiiiight!
The best cameo of the games of the tales of for the best Game of the tales of all times. keep this system keep this harmony keep this music keep the art. i never forget that rising phoenix-burning phoenix and Aurora wall-infinity reviver.
Great video. Reid's mystic arte with the music change to Eternal Mind always gives excitement goosebumps. 🤣
this was such a good game especially the battle system, imagine a remake of TOP with this battle system
This is what I need in my life.
I really liked Tales of the Abyss battle system too.
@Jeff tales of abyss, phantasia and eternia are My fav
I love Negative Gate in this game at 11:21. So epic! The magic had such a great style.
Epic fight. It was so satisfying seeing you beat the shit out of Mint, haha
What makes this battle so intense is Healer.
This is how a late game boss fight on the highest difficulty should be. A long intense battle where both sides go all out and none of that get hit once and you're dead garbage that's in the newer Tales games.
I mean try fighting a post game boss in TOX 2 for example, you'll die from them just sneezing at you.
Yeah it just has instant Rez whole team bull shit. Multiple resurrections in fact
Yeah, i still remember the Eternia day where i battle a boss for almost 20 mins in Hard core due to item and skill customization during battle. And then you fucked up the final move where you need to use the Aurora skills.
Xillia 2 wasn't so bad, the roadmap has an error back when I platinumed it, but it's only "grindy-er" and has more content than Xillia 1 which I preferred. In the cameo fight of the game Mint uses the best accessory in the game (the one that revives you when consumed), you can use a couple of them to solo the whole entire game on unknown, or you can do Ludger's aerial arte cheese with his dual blades (his best weapons) to stay up in the air. Also the Devil's Arms is much easier to do since they don't require unsealing them, but they give you max stats still, edit: except the hammer which isn't the best weapon, that is a real grind.
this is the most awesome cameo for me. reid just carrying the his 3 team mates.
Love how the first thing Reid does is Rising > Burning Phoenix. I shat bricks the first time I did this fight.
Out of all the cameo battles in tales I think this would one of the most challenging since there are four of them plus an actual balanced team of enemies with healer~
Other tales only has 2 enemies. One has 3~
It'd be nice if all cameo fights were as challenging as this~
Beat them on first run but at the cost of all items (I even used the saved up elixirs and stuff 😣 had to fight Nebilim with no more emergency items available...it was hell lol!~) after battle only Guy was alive at 23 HP~ ahh that sure was fun~
I lost once and reload since that priestess really did have resurrection which I totes not expected and worse at full life~
Symphonia had 3 on 3
Phantasia had 1 on 1
Eternia had 1 on 1 on normal but 1 on 2 on Hard Mode
Graces had 4 on 3
Xillia 2 had 4 on 4
Zesty and Bessie had 4 on 2
I think Hearts R was 1 on 2?
Hearts DS was 1 on 1
This one features a music change(Eternal Mind) when Reid uses Aurora Wall, too, which is a nice touch, though he only seems to use it on higher difficulty levels. It's a shame the other cameo fights don't do that.
i would argue that tales of destiny DC had a REALLY hard cameo boss against barbatos
@@symphomaniac Phantasia ?
@@typhlocube9359 Yes! Phantasia PS1 had Lilith as the cameo battle
I think that's what I was talking about. This is a very old comment
I remember I always ended this battle with Jade's Indignation.
Good times.
This is one of the battles I enjoy so much that I keep a save file just for replaying it. ...which makes it hard to start a new game, because the other three files are saved before the GG Replicas, Nebilim, and Eldrant Sync... =P
Anyway, I enjoy watching your boss vids quite a bit. Your Tutti shuffling was better than mine, that's for sure.
I always keep a save file for many of the fun boss fights in this game, though in my PS2.
It makes almost no difference. They all know the secret technique called "Life Bottle".
Everyone enjoys a good bit of cake after a cameo battle
Really nice to see some past Tales heroes in Tales of the Abyss.☺ There's a similar structure in other Tales spinoffs, too. In other words, crossovers with a shitload of Tales characters, too, like Tales of the Rays.
I wish Farrah was fighting with Reid in this one, I know they put her in Symphonia
10:52 , that doge
*aggressively stating the name of one's skill*
That's Tales Of series for ya
I like doing this battle a bunch of times on my 3DS version, with catalyst weapons in the mix. In my opinion, this battle is the hardest of all. Unknown difficulty, inflated stats, annoying life bottles from the cameo, hourglass and Time Stop shenanigans. Also, beware of Reid's Aurora Wall because not only he revives his entire team, but getting too close to him will do a sh#t ton of damage that's an instant KO. From my experience, there are times that you can survive from that but close to death, I'd say 30 or 20% health without Angel's Tear being activated if you're doing the battle on Very Hard mode instead of Unknown mode. I'm not sure if it happens on Unknown mode. I could be wrong, but most likely no. Anyway, this battle is one of the best battles in Tales of the Abyss.
@Eliakim24 He's the only boss that'll keep using that Mystic Arte whenever he uses Rising Phoenix. You're probably toast if you're not using anti-stagger to escape the blow.
AuraChannelerChris in every game Reid's in, burning Phoenix is an extension to rising Phoenix. Aurora wall and sword is his mystic artes. It's ToTas bad for registering it as a mystic art, they should've just made it an fof change after burning Phoenix creates a fire fof.
The best tales ever
The best battle mecanics rpgs: Tales of the Abyss and Xenoblade. Why? Characters shouting in a battle, I love it
-Philia casts Big Bang
-Luke blocked
-Luke tries to lock her up by combos
-Philia nope!! casts Sacred Penance
Computer cheating bastards xD
Apparently, there was that smaaaaaaaaaall time before the attack hit that let her pull it off.
...But still, yeah. She just used it immediately.
-Nanaly casts Negative Gate near Reid
-Luke waits to attack
-Reid used a Life Bottle on Mint at 11:23
My poor 3ds suffered from way to high temperatures XD.
Smart guy, always kill mint first, if you kill someone else she will just revive them that pissed me off to the max XD
I'm kinda mad Reid's voice actor changed from Eternia. I was so looking forward to hearing his moves again
Tyler Kulchinsky
DEEMIN TOOWEST
im kidding i agree.
DRAGON DEMON CHAOS.
Kevin Miller said he would have done it but he wasn't contacted lol
i will not lose!!!!!! so epic
+Kennedy Miranda Except when the shonen hero is the one opposing YOU.
Wat i really love about this game is on tear, she is cute, beautiful n she is singer.. i mean so far no other tales that sing while casting..
Man...i really want to buy a PS2,but where i live is to hard to find them
She's a long fight, but not hard. Most of her attacks one or two shot, but are very predictable or have a long windup (except Banishing Sorrow), so you can dodge easily. In the Cameo fight there is so much going on dodging gets tough. Either a lot of attacks are focused on too much of an area to dodge them all or you do doge one and get hit by another.
Plus Nebilum gives you Tutti, so points for that.
I like how they spelled two of their last names wrong! when i did this fight i always went for mint, then reid and then whoever.
i have an doubt. how may u the characters auto heal? can u explain?
Skills.
from tear, right? so, i lose something eighter... i am about 140 hours and no t enter in eldrant yet.
but i just beat this bosses
I’m amazed this is a 3ds game.
8:46, 8:56 dual mystic artes 😅 and I guess sacred penance is used by her and Estelle ❤
aside from Mint's healing the only time I've ever seen any of these four resurrect(SP?) is do to Reid's Aura Wall. I must have done this fight at least 30 times. the basic idea is kill Mint and Reid ASAP then the caster. Nanaly isn't that dangerous. Then Again I'm always lv.75 or higher for this fight. Its gotten to the point that i only have 1 to 2 deaths( looking at you Jade). point is there not tough with there right gear and level's.
Why does phillia have to make those...awkward sounds lmao my brother walked in one day when I was playing this and said the same thing..
Hahaha, but Mint had do similar sounds... please don't pick on my beloved Phillia >:c
I'd waited at all battle for Jade's Indiguneishon. Why you didn't use with Jade or Tear 2nd Mystic Artes?
Unknown isn't available during the first run... This is probably the second run.
Just curious, but which characters in this Cameo Team Can Heal/Revive?
I'm assuming Mint, and Philia are the Healers on this Enemy team, and I took them out with F.O.F. and Mystic Artes, but then I find out that one of them revived, so I thought Nataly could heal as well. Reid I'm assuming can NOT heal?
I suppose it was Nanaly, though all of them can use a Life Bottle.
AuraChannelerChris
Okay, good to know!
The reason I asked is so I have a basic Idea of who to defeat first. Namely, the Healers. ;)
Also, I've never played: Tales of Destiny, Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Eternia, or Tales of Destiny II. So, I wouldn't know what artes those characters can use.
Reids aurora wall revives everyone and from what i know Nanaly carries one life bottle
Oh, I forgot about Reid's Aurora Wall reviving everyone.
AuraChannelerChris
Ah! that explains why Mint, Philia, and Nataly were revived! BTW, depending weather you win or loose, how many times can you fight the Cameo Team?
How does this game compare to Symphonia and Vesperia (they all seem very similar to each other) on two metrics....
1) Combat (battle features/systems)
2) Customization (crafting etc)
Definitely better than Symphonia, can feel like Vesperia except for the obvious graphical disadvantage Abyss has.
@AuraChannelerChris what about battle features and customization? Any crafting etc? What are field of fonons?
You can gather materials from specific spots in the overworld to make new weapons, some of them having new Mystic Artes.
Extra stats can be increased through using cores per level up, such as using certain cores to get more Phy. Atk power through leveling up.
@AuraChannelerChris gathering? Sounds like Arise with its ores?
How do the cores work? If you don't use them at all and max your level have you "wasted" stat potential?
Luke 1 hour into the game: Killing? I can’t kill? It’s wrong…and scary.
Luke 70 hours into the game: HAAAAAHHHHHHH! NOW. DIEEEE!!!!!!
@45mcolt then you've obviously never faced neblim
How did you get over 700 enhancement bonus?
+jiganashi Constant abuse of the Tutti C.Core.
Does that mean you can get multiples of it? Because I saw that everyone had close to it.
+jiganashi No, you don't. I carefully monitored every level up by killing characters and letting them skip experience. Well, as best as I could, since boss battles changed that.
Wow. That takes some serious dedication man. Congratulations, definitely.
i remember getting this to happen to me,(note: i didnt know this will happen) i was like in the 90s for lvl and i still won. dont ask me how but i won. out of luck.
this is the hardest battle in the game
anyone else notice the last fencer in reid's hand.
It's his signature weapon, pretty much. Also the most powerful non-elemental weapon for Reid in Tales of Eternia.
why does Reid's voice sound familiar?
I don't know. Enlighten me.
AuraChannelerChris I dunno why, but Reid sounds a bit like Jude from Xillia
There we go. Sam Riegel's done it again.
This makes me so sad. There's no way Philia could be left alone as a caster and the opposing team isn't getting rekt. I watched carefully and noticed Reid was also being a donkey and running around while you were wailing on Mint too. Sorry to be rooting against you though...I'm just a bigger fan of some of the more classic characters and Philia truly is probably the most ferocious spell caster in the entire franchise not being done any justice here.
Damn I defeated them with no item
I beated them at a very low level
Philia sounds so.......
What's Cameo mean?
An inclusion from another franchise or universe that has nothing to do with the current main universe.
The king of all cameos is like creator Stan Lee appearing in all Marvel movies in some form.
11:41 wait wtf Reid did u just revived your teammates
Yup. Reid's Divine Aurora arte Aurora Wall can revive his teammates
I see why you had to be level 200 to beat them, there were so many opportunities for you to use Lightning Tiger Blade, but you just kept spamming rending strike so that occasionally it became rending quake.
CAAAAAAKKEEE!!!!!!🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
?
@@AuraChannelerChris Did you not make cake at the end?
Reid from tales of destiny 2 better tales of
Tales of Eternia, yeah was the best Tales.
Symphonia
hahah wtfs going on
A typical school fight.
Abyss Academy VS some exchange students
Reid has always been my dude, but for God's sake bro, stop wearing that crop top. Bro is not pulling it off.
