My son and o got a 3D printer for Christmas. We’ve been playing all day. I am making a list of items for the shop. This is great. I know for sure I want to make the corner rounder. I also plan on making some 90 degree blocks to help with assembly.
Custom center finders, radius gauges and tool holders were some of the first things I made. Specially for tools that you can just lay on a scanner or photograph to get the shape to model around.
This was a great list. A few years back I was doing quite a bit of 3D printing but because how finicky the process was with the printer I had and the length of time for prints I gave up and left out on the shelf for the last couple years. I kept hearing good things about the Bambu printers and took the plunge in the last few weeks. So I am back in the 3D printing cycle and looking for things that are actually helpful in y woodworking efforts. I am working on relearning Fusion 360 to make custom stuff, but if I can find it already made I go get it. So, I appreciate you not only sharing your list of items but the links for them. Just subscribed to see what other ideas you have put out since this video. Good job.
I have found this to be so true. Making jigs that match vacuum connectors for those projects down the line that require a hose fitting. Just label said fitting with its size. Thanks
I don't have a Makita, but a Black&Decker. Everything 18V, so I reversed the holder, so a light charger can connect as well. Saves the space for the large charger.
I like the dust extraction idea you have for the miter saw. I would like to print it myself. However, when I try to go to the site you posted, I get an error message that it's not a safe site. Can you help me get a stl file of the model?
I found a set of jumbo jaws for my lathe on Thingiverse which worked well. They were for a Nova G3 chuck. I ended up drawing my own STL for another chuck. Like all your suggestions on wood working 3D prints.
I subscribed after just a minute of viewing. When you work somewhere and say “they need this” or “ that’s a great idea”, spread it to the masses. You did, and good for you. I don’t 3D print, but would pay for those jobs and give ideas on what I need because of this exposure to a new “to me” field.
Don’t go to HF for one of these bad boy! 🤣 I did a lot of research and decided to go with one I figured it couldn’t break, but if I did the price tag wouldn’t hurt so bad.
What is the point of showing a center finder and linking something completly different ? If you've made a remake of it, post it rather than linkink to a very simpler stuff !
It's a different center finder but it does the exact same thing. It just doesn't have the "web" on both sides of 45 degree. It will actually use less filament to make. Plus, if you enter "center finder" in the search at the top of that page, you have lots of the options, including ones almost identical to his on the first page. I continue to be amazed at what people complain about, their entitlement, and lack of doing something as simple as searching.

Finally a things to print video with items that make sense!

some of my more used woodshop prints are a featherboard, a fence-mounted flip stop, and some jig clamping hardware for microjig's matchfit profile
That’s awesome man! There’s so much cool stuff you can make.

Picked up my first 3D Printer this week. Any advice on the best filament type for shop tools?

Great video for us woodworkers! Definitely will try this in the future.
Good to hear! Good luck!

How about push sticks, push blocks, and feather boards? Could you make peg board holders for tools?
Absolutely! I’ve been wanting to do a follow up to this video so I’ll look into it!
When you said “I am a Marita snob” I hit the subscribe button ;)
The best 👊🏻
nice, i like the mitre saw dust collector
Me too!

Gotta get me one of those table saw stash boxes 😂
Absolutely!
Dude this is the BEST "prints for the shop" video I've seen. Thanks a million for this
Of course brotha! All credit to the great folks who design these prints.
Did you open that shop up yet? I need the Dewalt Dust Collection add-on!!
Tanx!
Search up “Shop Greatness” on Etsy and you’ll find the Dewalt print 👊🏻
All legit! I think my fav is the festool sander holder. Love the organization ❤
Now just need to figure out how to mount it onto the vac.
Thin rip jig is a good one I saw
Great list of items.
Glad you enjoyed
Got a link for that centre finder as the one listed is not the one shown if not do you remember the original makers name so I can search it
I think I replaced the link with a similar file because the original maker deleted the file, sorry.
Hi, maybe I am blind. I cannot find the link to the mitre saw dust collection part. Please help.
These are great ideas.
Glad you like them!
Awesome video, Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
😂you can put your weed in there😂
Thanks!
Kool. Very creative.
Appreciate it, Brent!
2:30 lol you paused and I filled in the blank. And then, the clip!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Makita Snob Here to
👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Have you printed any non wood working stuff yet??
Yeah! I printed a car from Rocket League yesterday, an Elsa brush for Colbie,
And I’m printing some hat racks right now.
Broken link for centre finder 😢
I guess it got taken down. Heres one similar: www.thingiverse.com/thing:1213459
My Ender 3 is slow enough that I find it faster to just make most of these jigs out of wood....
How did you decide which 3D printers to buy? Does HF have a 3D printer? 😂😂
Don’t go to HF for one of these bad boy! 🤣 I did a lot of research and decided to go with one I figured it couldn’t break, but if I did the price tag wouldn’t hurt so bad.
For the record HF doesn’t have one and this is probably a tool that I wouldn’t buy at HF

I linked the center finder from the video originally but the creator took it down so I linked a different but similar one. 👍🏻
I need the link to 3D print that cute little girl at the end of the video. 🥹
She’s a 1/1. Sorry, all mine.
