I just got done printing my 2nd of 3 sandpaper trays the morning I watched this!! I only run 3 grits, so should only take 18 hours total printing time.
I thing the best tool to print yourself are the painting pyramids. I bought a set years ago, but they were 1/4" too big to use without cutting a corner off of a few. Printing them give the best size, or a set of for a specific task, e.i. batching a two dozen coasters.
Glad that you like my modular sanding disc storage design at 4:15 :-) Linked your video at Printables. P.S. i added more numbers, a honeycomb-version, spacers and end-caps in the meantime ;-)
Hey Markis! It's been a while. I've skipped a lot of your videos about lasers, 3d printers, and other fancy expensive stuff. They're the opposite of the HF videos where I found your channel. I decided to watch this one and really liked it. Maybe I will end up getting a 3d printer someday. Thanks for all the ideas!
I'm picking the vertical glue storage because I need to print it yesterday. However I have a question about the track saw shroud. What color brand filament are you using to get the blue?
Do you mind sharing rough estimates on print time? I am new to exploring a 3d printer for shop and have no idea if for example the glue holder would take 15 minutes or 1 day. I realize each printer is different, but just average. Appreciate it!
The coolest thing *in the video* wasn't *on the list*. The vertical glue *stand* that goes on the bottle so you can put it down on the tabletop caught my attention immeditately. :)
While as you say, the clamp wouldn't be that great for clamping pressure, it is exceedingly good to use when you need to put some clamping pressure near somewhere you're going to be cutting or routing (or any other tools with sharp edges) as if you miss or overshoot and cut into the clamp, it will not hurt your blades or bits like a metal one would. Not to mention safer. It's the same reason a lot of hold downs for CNCs are plastic.

Awesome man! They really are a sweet little print!
My favorite is the one you didn't talk about. It's the glue cap/stand for the work bench. Thanks.

For sure. I love my set.
Some nice ideas there. 3:29 looks like you could lower your Z offset just a bit.
My favorite was the painting blocks. I just made some from a 2x2.

I like the sandpaper line up tool.
Trying to find the dust collection attachment for the miter saw! Do you sell them? Do you have the 3D file for sale?
My kid would be saying “what are you making daddy?” Every 5 seconds when I’m printing something
Absolutely true with mine.

Glad to have you back man and I can respect you viewing at your discretion 🤘🏻 I better see you in the comments on the next HF video! #PayDay
I liked the Painters Pyramids, & the Clamp.
My favorite wat the painters pyramids. so simple yet more effective then hanging something and having a weird hole on the woodwork.
I seeeee you daddy!
😂 Always fun seeing her pop up here and there.
Great video with some ideas I'll have to try
Markis - Cool idea's! I've already won something from you , so I'll pass this round and let someone else win.... LOL Enjoy your videos.
I liked the painters pyramids, but I don't have a 3d printer, but my Grandson does.

I got some Sunlu PLA filament from Amazon. I’m not sure it’s top quality but it works

You’re right each printer is different, the glue holder took around 5 hours and something like the sandpaper holders took over 24
Handy items for our woodworking. Especially like the inspector peeping around the corner so she can report to the boss what Daddy’s doing.
🤣🤣 always!
Festool actually makes a right angle sanding guide.
"What in the World?" I about died laughing!
What's that you have on your glue bottle?
awesome video, thanks for sharing
🙌🏼🙌🏼
i laughed at the stubby paint mixer, why... hahaha

Good eye.. it’s meant for ketchup bottles but I’m always looking for ways to improve shop life.
My favorite was the dowel things.. lol..

Great point!
You need to make them and sell them on a store online...
Right angle sander guide
heh, my cheap arse black n decker sander came with a plastic tray that lines up the holes for you and you just set the sander on top
I had one like that back in the day too!
"What in the world?"
That plastic clamp looks quite sturdy. 🙄
