what’s sad too is in the yuka story, the guy wasn’t even her bf, he was a host at a host club she became obsessed with and had delusions that her and him were in love. she stabbed him nearly to death but thankfully he lived.
@@allison-ux6exhe workdd as a host (a job where you literally butter up to girls and give them a fantasy), it was his literal job to talk to other girls. yuka was the one who delulu'd herself into thinking they had something going on. (whats crazy is iirc, yuka herself worked as a hostess, so if anyone should know the transactional relationship between host and client,it shouldve been her. just goes to show her narcissistic she was to have thought she was 'special')
I take stories like this as a lesson to everyone. Yandere Dev was told by his role model that his coding was bad, instead of listening to him, he got upset. That was the first sign he showed to everyone he didn't want to improve. He didn't want to master his craft. He wanted to do the bare minimum to make something work. He didn't want to finish the game because that means he'll have to move on with his life. He didn't make his game because he was passionate about it, he made it as a poor excuse to get paid to make his own fantasy game. He never added a female sempi because that's not part of his fantasy even though something like that could bring in a bigger audience. Moral of the story, he was a person who refused to improve and grow up. Everyone else continued to live their life while he was in an endless loop for 10 years. Don't be like him.
does the endless loop atleast yield the program? if it doesn't it would crash the computer lol also sorry for being off-topic, but i don't think there is ever anyone else like him. he is prob a "unique" one at last
@@chibisayori20 Is there anyone else like him? He's a person that used his "original" characters to fulfill his own fantasies, he refused to listen to constructive criticism, he spent years barely improving his own skills, he prioritized degenerate behavior over completing his project, he spent hours a day playing video games, he always replies to hate comments/emails, rarely goes outside, chronically online, obsessed with women. Hmm, I wonder who fits that exact description? Chris Chan. These types of people do exist, they are not that rare, but it is rare for them to become famous online.
Ohhh true “he never wanted to finish the game because it meant that he had to move on from that period of his life” such a good way to think about it and I def agree

So true. I love the interesting storyline. It's more than just a murderous school girl with no emotions at all. I wish the game wasn't made by a sick and twisted predator that adds creepy features in the game that ruins it
To be honest, I always knew that this guy was shady as fuck. Even if he wasn't a sex pest and had actually completed the game's development, there was still a whole lot of skeletons in this guy's closet.
True that and the fact that he didn’t do crap about the allegations and doesn’t treat his fans as people just to get free labour until it ruined his reputation about the game he’s developing. Pretty much sums up about his personality
The whole situation with Yuka Takaoaka terrified me, like I don't have a problem with enjoying fictional stories featuring Yanderes, but an actual criminal? What do people even see in her? She's just as bad as Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer!
Yet there are teenagers and young adults that (And still is looking)looked up to both Bundy and Dahmer as role models and are still fantasizing about them to this day. So I'm pretty sure Yuka Takaoaka has fans too. What a world we are living in.
lmao same like i enjoy yanderes in fiction but just dont get why people like yuka takaoka have to do that, plus having a stalker irl is creepy, cant believe people nowadays romanticizes it a lot
The most frustrating part imo is how the voice actors decide to pull out NOW instead of ages ago when Alex was caught doing the same shady things (but was able to hide it better), and they'd only stick their fingers in their ears whenever people would try showing them evidence. Everyone involved in this project were beyond irresponsible.
Same with some of the RUclipsrs who played and promoted this game and ignored the fans who warned them about Yandere Dev. I still remember when Jay from Kubz Scouts said that he got messages from people about how shady Alex is, and in turn said that he didn't care about the "drama." Since the evidence became concrete, now Jay decides to quit. Very poor judgment on his part.
@@Romans10.9-13 I really like Jay, but I have to agree he should have left the game way earlier. You could tell he was posting wayy less yandere sim content after the allegations started rising, but he still kept playing and posting videos of it At least he left the game instead of being one of those creeps who still support yandere dev
@@Romans10.9-13I mean isn’t that the correct reaction? At the point Jay received those messages they were essentially rumors. When the evidence became apparent, he acted in the correct way.
i read somewhere that senpai is supposed to be yandere dev’s self-insert. we were all so much younger when he started developing that we were almost desensitized to how gross it was until alex started getting exposed (and exposing himself) more
Yep, you're right YanDev has always had a fantasy of having an obssessed girl all over him, pretty sure Yandere Sim was a complete result of that + his other fantasies (like sexual assault for example, which is show very clearly in the game's core mechanics)
@@kaka_445 It makes me think of a quote from a forum concerning this: "A girl who's crazy for you is a girl who's crazy _for you."_ Given how socially-maladjusted YanDev is (possibly compounded by other things for all I know), that was pretty much his only hope for a partner for a long time. He had no idea how nor reason to improve himself, and look where we wound up with him. What a mess of a human being. He's gonna be a case study for someone when it comes to this kind of stuff.
I remembered asking my mom if i can download this game when i was in fourth grade and she said no I really wish parents could monitor their children and protect them from things like this
I remeber my mom discouraged me from watching yandere simulator videos so I stopped for a couple years came back wondering about all the new content that must be in the game by now and wondering if it was released yet. Then I saw that almost nothing had changed, shortly after I found out how shady chalex was and then when he was exposed for grooming I was confused because I thought that already happened lol
It wasn’t the same case for me, I downloaded it when I was like 10 but my computer couldn’t handle it thankfully, ended up getting a better laptop though and downloading it not much longer (like 12 or 13)
My mom won’t let me play yandere simulator but I moved on to the Doki Doki Literature Club! Fandom I think my mom likes the characters from Doki Doki Literature Club! Ddlc has merchandise and ys doesn’t
this game was actually somewhat fun, i liked conquering the buggy mess it was. but the whole concept had so many problems, like panties being a core mechanic to the game about highschoolers that were barely of age. the worst part was that this game had such a large child audience, and that also meant he was able to get away with it for longer.
Yeah when I was like 13-15 playing this game, I had no idea how creepy it was that I could chose what type of panties yanchan wore and had to take pantie shots to get certain items. I feel like as the fandom got older , that’s when we started to realize how creepy that is
@@Fairygelic Worst part is that Yandere Dev knew most of his fanbase were a bunch of kids, yet the most he would do was put a block of text in the start of the game I feel like he knew that since most people in the fandom were kids they wouldn't even realize how disturbing the game was, that's why he never tried to keep kids away from it. He could continue to add his weird fantasies onto the game and get praise and money from it (especially since he's a grommer and because of his comments abt minors)
Yuka and Phoenix weren’t even dating. She thought they were dating and tried to kill him because he worked in a host club. The worst part is that the famous bloody photo of her and the man she loved half dead, is the photo that people romanticized and called beautiful. It’s quite sickening.
@@marigalante944 it’s common for ppl to immediately side with the person “in love”. There was this situation in Brazil where a 20+ year old kidnapped a 12 year claiming they were in love (she obviously said she wasn’t). Romeo and Juliet also was about a couple of stupid kids who end their own lives & modern interpretations see it as something romantic and good instead of what it always was. Just a tragedy from some delusional kids.
The pantie shot feature was getting very uncomfortable for me. I didn't know how weird it was until somebody pointed it out. Now I hate it I wish we can just do tasks or quests to earn points.

After everything that's happened, everything that Alex caused with his arrogance and depraved ways of thinking, at this point, it would be best if Yandere Simulator just ended altogether. Even if a whole new developer took over the project and finished the game, it would be forever tainted because of YandereDev himself. Also, I'm getting REAL tired of creeps using poor mental health to justify their predatory behaviors. Nah. It's called therapy, meds, and touching grass. Being a Cupcake Bandit isn't the answer.
yeah, and i doubt anyone would even want to take over the project, back before all this he had a legit studio ask to take over, and he said no because it wouldn't be exactly what he wanted it to be, and after blowing a chance like that, and all this other nasty shit coming to light about him, no reputable team would buy the game i don't think, nor would he sell it to them.
Very true, I always support people who are willing to get mental help, however some REFUSE or outright fear getting help. Or worse, some caught in the echo chambers of tik tok and twitter and other platforms tend to have others tell them to embrace these messed up issues as a part of their character. It's worse still for the psychopaths who are trying to learn empathy or at least "mimic" good human behavior, but get told that it's who they are and to embrace who you are because of that. Which to me, I don't know, but as a wise youtuber said, "The internet wants to see you crash and burn." It's the WORST possible thing to go to the internet for comfort and aid. Usually family and friends, or better a health professional, could offer more assistance than a bunch of radical randoms on the web who would rather see you explode and laugh at the news articles than genuinely care. Either that, or they just manipulate cuz funne. I've met such people online, as sick as those they turn into monsters. And pulling the victim card that they have mental issues or some other problems in their life, yeah boo hoo, the average African kid can't even get clean water and dies before they turn 20 years because of polluted water. I wish I could tell those sickos to grow up, because they act so damn condescending and entitled to others and just love to manipulate and see the world burn. If I were an admin of the top social media platforms, I'd spend an entire day IP banning every sicko off the internet. I care little for freedom if it means tolerating the worst of humanity. I'd rather the worst burns themselves rather than burn us with them. Especially since those sickos manipulate those who really need help, into doing terrible things. Damn echo chamber.
It also gives people who have them and manage them a bad name. I have severe mental health issues, but got through the worst of it through therapy and meds. While I understand that many can’t afford it (and get stuck in death spirals involving a worsening mental condition that, without treatment, prevents them from working a job), those who can (and those who have the benefit of knowing that there is something wrong, called insight in medical jargon. The one I have rarely allows for it) should seek proper help. Luckily, most people who can either get help or are forced to get it through a hold, and for most conditions are not typically dangerous.
I'm not sure why Yuka Takaoka case is here... As much as I know, she has nothing to do with the Yandere simulator or Yandere dev. She was mentally ill and her obsession with another host and wish to give him money made her go into sex work, which pushed her sanity even more. Obsession of public with her also has nothing to do with game. In Japan term "yandere" appeared much before the game did. So it's weird to say "this game pushes it's audience to do bad things in life" and then put a case that has no ties with the game. Yuka's victim (Luna) survived and later stated he have forgiven Yuka. If he'd known how far she went (prostitution) to subsidize his work as a host, he would've stopped her. However since he didn't know he felt a bit of a guilt that because of his profession this went so far. Both of them were hosts in "host clubs" in Japan. Both of them knew that even if they meet outside the club it's not a real relationship, but just a business practice. Still, Yuka fell in love and after some time became too obsessed. She was found guilty and was sentenced to 5 years, but then reduced to 3,5 years in prison. Probably due to her and Luna having a settled lawsuit for medical bills for 40k$. Rotten Mango had an hour long video about this specific case about 2 weeks ago.
@@ChangedMyNameFinally69 This video is about the specific game and it's author (Yanderedev). Yuka still have nothing to do with none of it so that part was uncalled for.
@@ChangedMyNameFinally69 Ahem... The title clearly says "Yandere Simulator: A Game That Glorifies Stalking". And right before the Yuka's part it was said: "There are so many young impressionable Yandere Simulator fans that have taken what they've seen from the game and used it as their standard for love. As we'll see in our next chapter their obsession with Yandere will lead to real world consequences". You can re-watch this part, it's on 20:57. It wasn't me who put that into scenario. And this is what I have a problem with, it's misleading and misrepresenting the real cause (mental health) to the game influence.
I am NOT on yandere devs side. This game could have been good, but the dev ruined it. BUT "A game that glorifies stalking"?? By that logic any game where you kill enemies "glorifies" killing. I was a fan of Yandere Simulator in my late primary (in America elementary) school years, I was 9-10 I think and I remember being bullied by others in the fandom (especially older fans) on amino for a lot of reasons. The main reason being was that I was accused of supporting Yandere dev (this was around the time people started to realise he was a massive creep), I was only 9-10 and just liked the game so I literally had no idea about the bad stuff yandere dev had done, I remember saying I liked the game and thought yandere dev was so talented for making such a cool stealth game (obviously I know now he barely did anything for the game but again, I was young and didn't know about all of the crap he had done) I was then harassed by so many people for supporting yandere dev, they were accusing me, a then 9-10 year old of being an incel, a creep, a n*zi, a p*do (I barely even knew what half of those words meant) and from then on I was scared of interacting with others in the Yandere Simulator fandom. Another time I made some cringe fanart of the character Mida (who if you don't know is the character who is a teacher at the school in the game who seduces the teenage boys and one of Ayano's "rivals", but as a kid I didn't support that behaviour but I liked her design so I thought it would be okay to draw a character that was definitely not a good person but also clarify you didn't support what they did in the game, and also many others older than me had already drawn her and didn't get any backlash) Again I got bullied and was accused of being a p*do for drawing her (they were literally accusing a 9-10 year old of being a p*do on amino for drawing a character from a video game 😭) And another time I can remember being accused of tracing, I remember drawing the character Osana as Sailor Moon since she had a similar hairstyle, I used one of the iconic sailor moon poses as a reference. When I was done I posted it to amino and not half an hour later someone had accused me of tracing, I hadn't traced, I had used the sailor moon pose as a reference but hadn't traced a thing. I was harassed by angry yandere sim fans for about 2 days, telling me my art was cringey and bad (which to be fair true, I was 9-10 so of course my art at the time sucked), calling me horrible names, telling me to kms, the average stuff. Then I was just like "Okay people in this fandom are just dumb I should just delete this because it isn't worth it" I also remember countless times being bullied for my fanart, like I mentioned before my art sucked and was very cringe back then, but when you're young and you inspire to be a great artist and there's people (especially people older than you and with better art) constantly mocking your art and calling it cringe it really hurts, it's definitely not as bad as some other things that happened though lol. Yeah the yandere simulator fandom was not the best for young cringey elementary schoolers who just wanted to enjoy the game and not want to get involved with all the drama 😬 Edit: hey I know its been a few months since I first posted this but due to some replies I've received I think I should clarify these things 👍🏻 Majority of the people in this amino group knew I was 9-10, which honestly makes it worse because they didn't tell the moderators "Hey there's a literal child in an amino group based around an 18+ game please remove them" Speaking of that, the reason I was on amino and liked yandere simulator as a 9-10 year old was because I was an idiot kid who had basically unlimited internet access and because of this I had already watched RUclipsrs play violent and gorey video games such as resident evil and fran bow therefore I was desensitized to this sort of violence as long as it was fictional This was in the mid-late 2010's when people were starting to realise Yandere Dev was a weirdo, but as a kid I thought the reason people didn't like him was because he took too long to update the game because thats something many of my friends (who also liked yandere sim) said when asked why people didn't like him so I just assumed that was the reason Also thanks for all the support to the people who were nice to me in the replies, to all the people who were trying to blame me for what happened despite me being a literal child at the time (I mean now I'm a teenager, I'm smarter and obviously don't like Yandere Dev anymore, but even now people don't expect me to act all perfect like you guys are expecting a literal 9-10 year old boy to act) then just leave and don't waste your time getting all pissy over a kid

I played this game just a few months ago, and immediately stopped after I heard the announcement, which wasn’t even surprising to me from the very start of the game development. I can’t believe I was a crazy fan of this game when I was younger. It’s so incredibly disturbing and nauseating years later now when I’m grown up. I instantly realized and clearly saw just how messed up Alex is, and that the entire game was made for his twisted and p-dophilic imagination.
I would say "Just separate the art from the artist", But now understanding that the game was basically this creep's dark fantasy, It's just impossible to do so and I understand why a lot of people dropped yandere simulator all together.
Dont forget he once played an "adult" game about s*xually assualting an entire family, and asked how to assualt a 14 year old in a forum post for this game. Also he once wrote about wanting to murder his parents.
The absolute lack of media literacy to claim that Yandere Simulator "glorifies" stalking. No normal person is going to play this game and go "ah so stalking is okay!" Or "wow stalking looks so cool!". Only mentally ill people could possibly end up that way. Yandere's are purposely immoral characters, and Ayano is very explicitly framed as crazy and not a good person. This shit is like saying COD glorifies shooting, or the Friday the 13th game glorifies serial killing, or Among Us glorifies tricking people and lying or playing dating sims glorifies cheating. The only thing that deserves criticism is the dev himself. Plenty of other people ended up making Yandere Simulator clones that do the same things in their games without being creeps themselves
I remember playing/watching gameplay of Yandere sim ever since I was a kid ( 7-8 when I started? or 2015-16), and I can confirm how much it can influence the younger audience. The game itself gave me a false idea of how I should show my "love" for someone, and it genuinely messed me up in the head BADLY. Often giving me thoughts of wishing harm on the people that "stood in my way" and led to an 8 year old me obsessively stalking the classmate I liked as well as having my entire mood depend solely on a certain person (though not the game's fault entirely, it greatly encouraged my toxic behavior) , all in all I feel for the younger people out there that were badly influenced by this game and hope that however they are now, they're in a better place.
the game isn't a problem, it's actually really really fun, the dev behind the game is the problem although yandev did say in his blog he might potentially give development to someone else as a last resort, so here's hoping he does so yandere sim can actually go somewhere
As much as I'd like to see it completed (I try and separate art from artist), unfortunately too much of the artist's personal taste has bled into his art judging by this video and many of its comments. It sucks, but this game has floundered for so long that enough is enough already. The development hell coupled by the main guy just being very awful... If anyone does take up the offer, I'd be genuinely surprised. Mostly cuz I'd laugh if they completed the game in less than two years just to stick it to Yandere Dev even more.
The game is problematic too. I follow the game since the beginning. I think Iwas 10 y.o. when the game began. When I look at my childhood this game really effected me badly I can see it now.
@@vidia879 that's your parents fault, not the game. don't blame the game 'cause your parents didn't care enough to see what their 10 year old child was up to. if it messed you up, that's on them and now on you to get the help you need. blaming anything that isn't for your age group and then you getting ahold of it isn't ever the fault of anyone but the user/their parents.
While I'm by no means a fan of the project, how does a game that paints the main character as evil glorify the stalking she does? Ayano is clearly not supposed a good person. Just because a character is the protagonist doesn't mean they're painted as good or glorified in their actions.
protagonist and antagonist arent simply good guy and bad guy, the protagonist is the main character of a story, and the one who ultimately succeeds, an antagonist is the direct enemy to the protagonist, and actively tries to combat the protagonists goal, this is what is blurred so heavily in gaming culture, people really need to recognize this more as it could prevent games like these from being taken into a spotlight of good...
I don't think the game glorifies stalking, it just makes things too cutesy. The mechanics Yandere Dev has spent years implementing betray the idea of the game. Many "it's not what it seems" games are executed beautifully, which allows them to create an uneasy feeling of something just being off. Yandere Dev fucked that trope up completely. For a game where you can violently dismember people for... literally no reason, I'd expect the game to be more serious. Serious doesn't always mean boring. Let's take Saiko No Sutoka for example, a popular yandere game in which you're being chased by a violent yandere. It uses its gentle dark blue undertones, off-putting music, and uses the fear of the unknown really well to create a genuinely terrifying, well-made game. The only times when it takes advantage of a cutesy art style is when the antagonist is being friendly, which in turn alerts the player something's not right when that style changes. It's able to make the game uncomfortable and still fun even if nothing's happening because it makes your brain work towards your goals, pick apart what's not quite right, and also utilizes quick decision-making. Unlike Saiko No Sutoka, Yandere Simulator is always bright and cheery, regardless if you're with Senpai, or just dismembered and gutted your classmates. The game has absolutely no atmosphere, which ultimately kills the game. It's boring as shit because there's no variety and the characters, especially yan-chan, are all 2D. End of rant.
it doesn't just glorify stalking, it glorifies mental illness, specifically bpd. i have struggled with bpd throughout the entirety of my dating life and it is one of the worst mental conditions to struggle with. You become incredibly controlling, you can't handle it when your partner talks to others due to extreme jealousy, sometimes even their own family. You can't handle being away from your partner for too long, arguing is the worst as your partner's opinion of you matters the most, you have terrible trust issues and you have to constantly know their location, you are against porn consumption and as someone who was traumatised by someone who consumed that content a lot, I am not okay with him even watching anime, looking at any attractive people or consuming any content even if it is SFW with an attractive woman. You can't leave them or handle the idea of them leaving them so you go to extreme lengths to avoid it, such as lovebombing, if you get blocked you spam them on every social media they have, contact their family or their friends, beg for them to not leave, offer yourself to them. In not even the most extreme cases, an individual with bpd can result to self harm, suicide and sometimes even harming others due to the amount of emotional stress relationships can bring onto them. This shouldn't be taken lightly, nor glorified and definitely not sexualised. ive heard and dealt with many men who have said to me that they can like "yandere girls" or clingy/obessive and even find it hot. Yet in reality, its more than just being super in love with someone. Everything they do matters a bunch and could decide whether you live or die. It is a major contribution to someoen's depression and anxiety and maybe even yours as you may be isolated from your friends, family or constantly have to deal with a super depressive partner. It is extremely damaging on the individual with bpd even if it boosts your ego or makes you feel more loved. people should not be taking this lightly or romanticising it as it is one the most difficult things to deal with for the individual as well as their fp. (FP = favourite person)
Hey, just wanted to say as someone who has a bf with bpd, I 100% agree with you, if you're going to date someone with it it's not something you can just back out of, you have to commit to it, as that will hurt them a lot of probably lead them to, you know, game overing irl. Even through all the struggles such as his constant need for attention and reassurance, I still love him and wouldn't ever want to be with anyone else. Oh and it's also worth mentioning that he really hates how this game portrays it too. Sorry for the rant.
It's not a game about an obsessive girlfriend. At least that's what I think about it. But, before I start ranting on how people often misunderstand this game's main character, I have to say that VV here made a great dissection of YandereDev's past and present, as well as his personality. I also have to say that I understand that VV wanted to make a video focusing on the outside of this game, which means its developers, its community, and such things, as well as problematic things within the game. Now, let's start the surprisingly short dissection of the character that goes by the name Ayano Aishi. Ayano Aishi, the girl you play as in Yandere Simulator, is someone who feels no emotions, and has no empathy, no remorse, and no guilt. She is also freakishly intelligent. She has great memory, is extremely smart, and can think up the most elaborate plans to get what she desires, no matter what the price is, and no matter what she has to do. One could call her a psychopath or a sociopath, but none of those fit her very well. It's as if she was a combination of those two disorders. But despite having felt no emotion in her life, until she is 14-16 years old, she found a way. A way to feel. A way to be able to express joy, sadness, anger, anything she wants. She just had to have it, no matter what. "It," however, was a boy from her school, one year older than her. That is the reason she calls him "senpai," which means "a student older than you". Taro Yamada, just a normal boy, going on in his average life. He has a childhood friend, he likes reading and when it's calm, and is very smart, passing every class without much trouble. He has average looks, but what might set him apart from others, is that he is kind, considerate, thoughtful and accepting. In order to feel emotions, she has to just be near him, as if he was her fated soulmate. No. She was sure that he was her fated soulmate. And so, she soon becomes obsessed. But not with him. He is only an extension of her obsession. Something enveloped in its desire, simply by happenstance. Ayano Aishi becomes obsessed with feeling emotions. With having feelings. So she decides that no matter what happens, no matter what she has to do, and no matter what he wants, she will have him. He will be hers. So that she can feel emotions until her death. Some might say, that her love towards Taro Yamada is obsessive. I argue against that. She doesn't love him. She loves the idea of him letting her feel something, anything. And that love of hers for feelings is obsessive. But Ayano herself thinks that she loves him. Therefore, only a short while after gaining that obsession for feelings, she develops an obsession on him. She thinks that she loves him, and will do anything for him to end up with her. In all honesty, I think the game is actually more focusing on the obsession of a previously emotionless girl over the feelings that being near her "soulmate" lets her feel, than obsessive love itself. It could be platonic, it could romantic. I have no true say in it, however, as I am in no way affiliated with the creation of Yandere Simulator myself. Anyway, the game isn't really about a yandere. Yes, Yandev named it "Yandere Simulator" for a reason, but that's his wicked and defiled way of seeing love. He sees it as violence. Obsession. Hate. Resentment. His strange obsession with yandere's was the catalyst for this game's creation, yet he hadn't made Ayano into a yandere. Yes, he thought that what he made Ayano into was a girl obsessed with someone she loved. But in truth, he made it much, much worse, showing what his true feelings on love are, along with showing his truest, darkest desires, of being depended on for something, that the depending person has not only no control over, but has not had for their entire life, and are therefore not able to think clearly on the matter.
DUDE THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST ANALYSIS OF AYANO I'VE EVER READ. Sadly, I highly doubt Alex was thinking of all this while writing her character. When you put it this way... it's a really sad story. And a way far more interesting than the one that we are presented to when the game starts. And, the worst part is your final point. It... really, shows how twisted is Alex. Woah, dude, damn.
@@satanikbunny Thank you, I really appreciate it. Although, indeed, the worst truth from my analysis is that Alex had never thought, even for a moment, of Ayano Aishi as a person, be it fictional or not. He thought of her as an object for his foul desires. An object perfectly suited to be his victim. And yet, somehow, he managed to create a character that would normally be a masterpiece of modern media. The truest synonym to "Broken, not evil" I've seen yet.
@@nanaminaokoshi7077 You're totally right. I just hope for this man to drop this project, at least, and it would be great if someone makes a demand if the allegations are true. And it would be amazing if someone did justice to Ayano's character. She REALLY has potential, I'd love to see a redemption arc for her. We're allowed to dream, I guess.
@@satanikbunny Yeah, it's a huge shame that it was Alex who made her, and not someone with ambitions that aren't about the fulfilment of some wicked ideals of love.
Yandere simulator has only been an idea of a game to me. Since YandereDev spent years and still not finishing it. There isn’t much official content. So when the allegations and evidences came out, it’s very easy for me to just stop thinking about the game. A game which is built entirely on the creator’s inappropriate and problematic fantasies makes it hard for me or anyone I know to separate it from the creator.
Yuka Takaoka’s “boyfriend”, known by the name Phoenix Luna, wasn’t her boyfriend. She was paying for his time as he was a host, the male counterpart of a hostess in Japan. He was rather popular and she was his top spender. She thought she owned him, and Phoenix only stuck around because she was practically paying his bills. So no, this was not a boyfriend girlfriend situation, and please never forget Phoenix Luca.
Look, I dispise Yanderedev as much as the next guy, but saying the whole yandere trope is 'problematic' is like going to watch a horror movie and being surprised by there being disturbing topics.
i started liking yansim when i was 8, branching from my hyperfixation of vocaloid. i can't deny how the exposure of questionable content has ruined me. i had genuine delusions that if i just absolutely went insane and snapped like ayano did, i would end up happy because i eliminated everyone that was "on my way". fiction affects reality in so many ways. i can't believe there are still so many people that thinks it does not. p.s could you tell i was severely bullied as a child /hj
i mean if your 8, pretty obvious the shit you see will affect you, children aren't always smart, fiction doesn't affect reality just perception, and well, perception can become your reality if you believe hard enough
just reading the title- tell me you don’t know what glorification means without telling me. just because ayano is the protagonist, doesn’t mean she’s meant to be the good guy. it’s obvious her behaviours are not normal or condoned. being caught doing any of those crude actions always results in a trip to the guidance counsellor and strange whispers.
I remember the initial concept peaked my interest and I followed some of the updates in college. I ended up stopped following when I had a weird feeling about it. I think it was after Tiny Builds picked up and dropped the project quickly, which to me screamed that something went badly and the bigger studio wanted nothing to deal with it. Then him being so hard set on it being high school, despite him being American which high school would make the characters minors just added to weirdness. I feel sorry for the VAs that pulled out. As much as they should have maybe realized something was up, there is both sunk cost fallacy after so many years plus wanting concrete evidence opposed to rumors. Hindsight is 20/20.
They didnt' "drop" it as much as Yandev threw a screeching fit and shut down cooperation because the code they were using (aka actual fucking code) was unreadable for him.
I mostly separate the game from Alex. Just because he's a piece of shit doesn't mean I can't like playing stabby stabby murder game. It's a great stress reliever, and the ragdoll physics and bugs are really fun. It really is schoolgirl Hitman at its core to me.
I don’t get why Yuma Takaoka is included in this. She committed the crime in 2019 while snap mode wasn’t available until 2020. Also I don’t think she was a fan of the game. EDIT: You should’ve focused on the case that was caused by person inspired by Yandere Simulator instead of Yuma Takaoka’s case.
This video went into so much more detail than I thought. I knew Alex was pretty creepy, but not THIS creepy... I can see why women avoid him. (men probably do too!)
Its so funny because yandere sim isnt even a good yandere simulator because it leans far too much into the jealousy of it. An actual Yandere simulator imo would be more akin to RE4, with the main task being to protect your loved one at any cost, similar to Leon and Ashley
i honestly see no problems with the dark themes in the game, things like these happens and the game being anime inspired turns them up one or a few notches. the Teacher, School Nurse, the Sister. Senpai is basically a caricature from a Echi Harem anime and you're playing as the villain in a murder story. it's a lot like GTA in the mature topics of content in it. i like and may even love the idea of the game, but as many state it's wasted potential (although i do would like someone to be devoted to me as a yandere would)
Gotta say that the obsession with real life criminals isn‘t a isolated happening of this japanese woman. Just think of the criminal fandoms. Doesn‘t matter what time either. I think it‘s a taboo some ppl just fall into out of some mental health issue most likely. I genuinely don‘t like being all „omg how could you tho! How evil and wicked of you!“ cause I believe that these ppl clearly have mental health issues that are unadressed and their obsession with violent people is a unhealthy coping mechanism. And it‘s not just happening in japan.
It's a gender relations issue too, women have been groomed into finding "strong" men attractive and that manifests into liking violent men like serial killers. "Girls love bad boys" sorta shit.
Do you seriously shame a person for reading «dark fanfiction» and playing «disturbing games»? That has nothing to do with him being predatory about volunteer's work. It is the game. You know, people are killed in games VERY often. And young girls in horror genre is not a rare thing too.
"Grand Theft Auto" a series that glorifies gang lifestyle, criminals, murder, prostitution, drug production, distribution, and use, theft, gambling, and corruption. Call of Duty - a series that glorifies war from different eras. Dead By Daylight - a game that glorifies horror and slasher movie villains/monsters torturing and killing people. Super Smash Bros - A series glorifying heroes and villains from all sorts of franchises beating up one another for entertainment. Pokemon - a franchise that glorifies basically poaching since you trap animals and make them battle each other until one side is knocked unconscious. I'm saying all this to point out how, yes, Yandere Simulator is about something dark, but it's not exactly new in the gaming or entertainment industry so don't overthink it.
Call of Duty was a bad example to bring up since it actually *does* partner with the US Army. Not to mention, it makes it pretty damn clear which side of the war you're meant to root for, especially when it comes to its fictionalized versions of real life events. There's an entire debate to be had that isn't fit for a video comment section but my point is: COD knows what it's doing.
@NebulaRanger You completely missed the point of my comment. ANY game that glorifies war, regardless of the side it "favors" is glorifying humanity's ultimate failure: war itself. Killing itself. Destroying itself. But it's a simple game. No need to overthink it.
@@Kamina.D.Fierce It's not "just a simple game" if the game and its publisher openly sides with the real life group that has the most influence in the matter. This is literally out in the open but you wanna act like a fucking idiot and pretend that it just doesn't affect anything about the game itself. For fuck's sake, they LITERALLY USE REAL LIFE WARS AS THE TOPICS OF THEIR GAMES. How is that NOT going to have some sort of political bias?
At the end of the video it mentions a girl that bought a knife to school in 2019 and immediately I knew it was me. I was 10 and it was efore my 11th birthday I was incredibly mentally ill and grew up with unrestricted Internet access I'm so glad I got the help I needed, I'm 15 now and doing amazing. Just sad I got so obsessed with the game that it got to the point. However the only thing I did was have a knife in my bag I was in no way planning to use it for anything. If you guys feel yourself getting obsessed with something before it's too late talk to someone about it because even back then if I had someone to talk to I would never have done that. Lots of love xx
I subscribed Visual Venture about 2 weeks ago, and I've been watching his content ever since. When I first saw this video, I honestly had no idea this game will be next: why Yandere Simulator? I then realised it was mostly about the developer, not the game. I've never been interested in learning about Yandere Dev, and have only had interest in the demo. I had kinda of figured out, just from being apart of the community, that Yan Dev's creepy. I've [virtually] met some players on Discord who's servers are all about the game- many of them have horrible, and corruptive attitudes... I figured that that made sense, since the game was influensive and most of the players had some kind of 'mindset' that made it feel normal to play the game- without questioning its tactics. I won't fully call myself apart of the community, as the only reason I play the game is because of the features in Pose Mod, and the new ability to customize YanChan(the main character). It was at first my only way to access 3D character creation easily, until I found other games. Now I no longer play Yandere Simulator (It has had some effect on my life, but in my opinion, in a good way; as I plan on becoming a psychiatrist in the future, having an idea on how phycopaths think will get me a bit closer to my goal...) Anyway, thnxz Visual Venture for another amazing vid! 👍
People say that video games make you violent. And, in my case, that was very true. I used to play Yandere simulator (back when Bijuu Mike played it), and I was homeschool. I was moved to public school and one of my old childhood friends and I reconnected and I fell in love with them. Then… I found myself completely manic in love, as in… I developed an obsession disorder for them. I was sent to a psych ward after they realized my obsessiveness wasn’t healthy. I had tried to do the things I had seen and played in the game. I didn’t get far, luckily, but the fact I actually experienced “snapping” (21:50) as a real life thing was horrifying. I’m better now and no longer exhibit those behaviors, but it’s horrible, and the guilt weighs on me daily that I could have been the reason someone moved to the afterlife too early. Please, don’t let video games influence you. Even if you think it’ll be ok, don’t take chances.
Love the graphic design, with specific appreciation for your style and animations that make it all flow so beautifully. The channel name is rather apt. For awhile there, I forgot how much time and money was somehow sunk into YanSim. Working my way through your previous docs - cheers.
I’ve watched Mike’s videos from time to time and am proud to say that it was never for his yandere videos. And I would not abandon him if he stopped posting content for the game.
Problem with the game development is that Alex have no idea how to make a game. Having bunch of teen volunteers is not the same as even small team of full-time paid workers. No one in game development uses his tactics because it's bonkers if you know anything about getting a product done with a set quality level. He also was offered to be a part of a legit game development company to finish his work but declined because "they would have a different vision than him". We can only speculate, was his insane code practices, panty shots or use of teen volunteers were the things he referred to...
This game kinda ruins my early teenage years. I was watching it when I was 12…and cause I was a chunibyu (delusional x young and stupid), I inserted myself into Ayano’s character. At some point,I made out my ‘crush’…she was a tomboy,I’m not even a lesbian or a bisexual. I was just delusional, I was lucky that I didn’t commit anything too bad, cause I was a shy kid. I would deeply regret if I committed a crime,or ‘fall in love’ with someone who I actually don’t have a feeling for. I got out of my Yandere phase when I was about 14,I was busy getting into other phrases, like anime and kpop…but I never got hooked to anything. I’ve grown out of it. But the memories of my 12 yo self still haunts me. Thinking that if there’s other timelines,sh*t could go wrong so much,my life would be ruined, other people’s lives would be ruined,I may break a girl’s heart, realizing too late that I’m straight…soo many things could’ve gone wrong just because ONE god damn game. Edit: I’m 18 this year. I can proudly say that currently,I cut myself off most internet communities and fandoms. Because of that experience,I swear to myself that I would never join any community seriously again. And if I ever have a kid,I’m making sure they’re not watching gore games at 12.
HELP SAMEEE when i was little i had a yandere phase😭 when I was 10(I'm a girl) I didn't like boys but I thought I had to become obsessed with one of them because of this game...since I grew up with the internet I was very influenced
May be a controversial opinion, but Yandere Simulator's biggest flaw, and the thing that prevented it from actually being good, was the game's focus on killing and murder. It changed Yandere Simulator from, well, a Yandere Simulator, into a "school serial killing simulator". There are non-fatal opinions, true, but let's be honest--those are in there as an "extra" and are never, and never were, the focus. They're only in there so YanDev can claim he's not making a game where the entire goal is to serial murder high school girls. Just from a pure POV of the concept, ignoring any moral issues, it just would've made for a much more interesting concept if the goal was to eliminate the rival school girls by any means,--murder maybe being one of those, but not the suggested nor "main" one. Hell, maybe even detour using lethal options by throwing in a morality system, or at least having broader options. People don't like to admit this, but of the icky vibes of YanSim comes from the core concept of murdering high school girls; and empathize there on the "girls". This isn't an issue of "what" was implemented more so how it was. Putting total empathize on the murder make YanSim a very openly "edgy" game, and it just comes across as silly to most people (it also completely misconstrued what "yandere" meant to most people, as, no, "yandere" does not mean "serial killer"). This has the ability to be an interesting anime-style sandbox game about a Yandere character, but it instead become "pervo anime serial killer simulator". It's main issue is that it's less built around the premise of the yandere character, and is more built around the fantasy of the action of killing school girls. That's why it generally feels so icky. It's less a "yandere simulator" and more a "4chan users who get off on murdering pretty girls simulator". If the entire emphasis had to be on the "hitman" style mechanics, then the yandere character skin was a mistake. If the Yandere character was the entire point, then the "murder everyone" empathize was a mistake. EITHER WAY, IT WAS JUST TOTAL MISTAKE.
i somewhat want to raise suspicion on the people who platformed this game to their younger audiences. youtubers. idk i probably shouldn't had known about this game as early as i did, even if they censored particular things. there was even a setting in the game where the blood would look daisies, which allowed some youtubers to play it without getting age restricted. i think thats a problem in it of itself because the game shouldn't have been anything but age restricted lol
I agree with you. But then again, some youtubers started with that as their focus. They can't control who watches their videos. I definitely agree that most of the youtubers should not have posted it for their young audience to see, but gotta keep in mind some of them did not know that their audience was going to be kids. Also, nice profile pic haha.
I'm also concerned about the same RUclipsrs who were made aware of the allegations but brushed it off as "drama" until hard evidence came out. They unfortunately waited for the worst scenario to happen before dropping the game. I'm not trying to hate on said RUclipsrs, I believe it was just poor judgment, but this is why allegations like Sisef's shouldn't just fly under the radar. Of course, innocent until proven guilty, but even if there wasn't much evidence then, it should be made aware to be looked into more and treat the situation with caution, instead of just a rumor.
@@JustmeIguess Society is crumbling, what's the point? If it makes you happy go be it, i don't care because it doesn't affect me. Hell at some point, cities are going to fall, people are going to run around scavenging for loot, there will be no law and order anymore
I used to think no way theres actually people out there like this. Let alone it happening to me. I now have to live my life watching over my shoulder. An ex went too far, turns out I wasn't being paranoid. They were keeping track of my movements. Eek. They finally told me about every single guy I was seen with even if we weren't together or anything. Even talked to. I didn't think someone so obsessive and unhinged can and will go to that extent. The police are currently investigating. Im waiting for the day when i hear he's finally behind bars.
From the moment I saw it being played I knew there was something wrong with it. Both the problematic stuff and the fact that it wasn't finished after all the time and money it got. I've never liked anything to do with the game and I never got how people did. And it turns out the developer was just as toxic. I'm so glad you touched on this.
It technically was finished once...yandev just threatened to commit [slip n slide] so that the person who made a complete version, wouldn't release it and "ruin yandev's life's work". That grand work, being grifting supporters of the game, out of their money.
Are you sure this is even "love"? Because the lore makes it extremely clear the protagonist doesn't understand emotions, and it's only this sudden attachment she develops toward a boy that drives her to claim him as her own. It's not even an attempt to socialize or start a relationship, it's just an excuse for her to flag anybody getting close to him, therefore treating him like an object or an endgame reward. Ironically she doesn't even dare to talk to him in person, and instead builds a dedicated shrine in her house to satisfy her personal fantasy. This isn't love, this is lust and obsession.
A good inventory option was only making it available once you ended your first “rival!” The reason for that is; their head is where you store inventory! And to add even more - the more rivals ended, the more purse/backpack head choices you had!
one girl in my class is so obsessed with the yandere concept. first when she told me about it i wasnt really paying atention about what she said so i kinda ignored it till she pulled a knife on her crush in our class and almost killed him after he said that he dont like her she literally attacked him with a 3-4” knife and if we and our teacher wouldnt stop it i dont know how it will end up the fact that in that moment she was 12 when she did that was hillarious… She got certificated autism this year but i still think that there is some kind of dissorder. by that time im scared to go to school and the thing that i was her crush before is genuenly scaring me.
and I’ve never liked the game or it’s community. I’ve seen people remake this game inside Gacha which stood out to me as annoying and weird being obsessed with somebody and willing to do absolutely disturbing things to them ISNT GOOD. also love your content keep it up!❤️🔥
@@coolgamer2135Did you just really ask that? Did you just really ask what was wrong with someone constantly crazing over, stalking, manipulating situations in order to be with their obsession? Did you just really ask what was wrong with being so infatuated with a person that you would watch them daily 24/7, think about them more than yourself and your well being and health and do anything to get their attention including breaking every type of law in existence? *Did you really just ask that?*
@@coolgamer2135 It’s not about comparison. Just because something bad could be worse than it already is doesn’t automatically make it okay. In the case of Yandere simulator the main protagonist has every capacity to murder, set someone up to get expelled or arrested, manipulate someone else into killing the rival, and even driving the rival to suicide. That’s only a small portion of what the main protagonist in this game could do, there are so many other ways in the game to manipulate your rival to stay away from the guy you’re obsessed with. If someone is doing all that just to keep you all to themselves then not only is that a red banner, that is a serious sign of someone who needs to be put in the hospital because that isn’t a “Oh how romantic” situation. The first thing you should think about someone obsessing over you shouldn’t be “oh well it could be worse”, why would you ever want to think about the “what if’s” in this situation as if the situation itself isn’t already bad enough as it is?

Yandere simulator is pretty much how not to make a indie game why it fails at everything from story lore characters gameplay and visuals with the only exception being voice acting and music which to bad those 2 features might get removed because of yandere dev recent controversies
Great video with a lot of good info. One red flag I was expecting to show up but, surprisingly, did not, is the fact that the developer of this game has also licensed Ayano for use in various "adult" video games with the most notable being the adult FTP idle clicker Crush Crush by Sad Panda Studios. Some of this behavior shouldn't be surprising if they've had their character appearing in something going all the way back to 2017 when the game was exclusive to Nutaku (but is now on Steam as censored and uncensored, and Android as a Teen rated edited release which is where I first played it). Edit: I've also been following Maika Sozo for years and never knew they were a part of this game's development at one point. I'd say they probably wanted to put that behind them, though, that does explain them sharing images related to thos allegations a while back as I had seen those in a post they made on Face Book but I never realized it was YandereDev who was the topic of those claims.
I’ve gotta say, yan sim kinda fucked up my life. When I was younger and first saw the game, I was incredibly impressionable and attempted to do yandere shit. Lucky I was really bad at it and went to therapy and trying to be a better person. After struggle with mental health, I’m glad to say that I’ve improved and in a healthy relationship👍
The REAL problem with having the teacher and the school nurse as rivals is that it glorifies an adult dating a minor, which is illegal. Senpai is only a minor, so it would be illegal for the teacher and school nurse to date him and they would be fired if that were to happen.

what’s sad too is in the yuka story, the guy wasn’t even her bf, he was a host at a host club she became obsessed with and had delusions that her and him were in love. she stabbed him nearly to death but thankfully he lived.

@@everypizza unless you actually know the language, and c# isn't that bad
You said what was on my mind
Very true, I always support people who are willing to get mental help, however some REFUSE or outright fear getting help. Or worse, some caught in the echo chambers of tik tok and twitter and other platforms tend to have others tell them to embrace these messed up issues as a part of their character. It's worse still for the psychopaths who are trying to learn empathy or at least "mimic" good human behavior, but get told that it's who they are and to embrace who you are because of that. Which to me, I don't know, but as a wise youtuber said, "The internet wants to see you crash and burn."
It's the WORST possible thing to go to the internet for comfort and aid.

I was a fan of Yandere Simulator in my late primary (in America elementary) school years, I was 9-10 I think and I remember being bullied by others in the fandom (especially older fans) on amino for a lot of reasons.
The main reason being was that I was accused of supporting Yandere dev (this was around the time people started to realise he was a massive creep), I was only 9-10 and just liked the game so I literally had no idea about the bad stuff yandere dev had done, I remember saying I liked the game and thought yandere dev was so talented for making such a cool stealth game (obviously I know now he barely did anything for the game but again, I was young and didn't know about all of the crap he had done)
I was then harassed by so many people for supporting yandere dev, they were accusing me, a then 9-10 year old of being an incel, a creep, a n*zi, a p*do (I barely even knew what half of those words meant) and from then on I was scared of interacting with others in the Yandere Simulator fandom.
Another time I made some cringe fanart of the character Mida (who if you don't know is the character who is a teacher at the school in the game who seduces the teenage boys and one of Ayano's "rivals", but as a kid I didn't support that behaviour but I liked her design so I thought it would be okay to draw a character that was definitely not a good person but also clarify you didn't support what they did in the game, and also many others older than me had already drawn her and didn't get any backlash)
Again I got bullied and was accused of being a p*do for drawing her (they were literally accusing a 9-10 year old of being a p*do on amino for drawing a character from a video game 😭)
And another time I can remember being accused of tracing, I remember drawing the character Osana as Sailor Moon since she had a similar hairstyle, I used one of the iconic sailor moon poses as a reference. Then I was just like "Okay people in this fandom are just dumb I should just delete this because it isn't worth it"
I also remember countless times being bullied for my fanart, like I mentioned before my art sucked and was very cringe back then, but when you're young and you inspire to be a great artist and there's people (especially people older than you and with better art) constantly mocking your art and calling it cringe it really hurts, it's definitely not as bad as some other things that happened though lol.
Yeah the yandere simulator fandom was not the best for young cringey elementary schoolers who just wanted to enjoy the game and not want to get involved with all the drama 😬
Edit: hey I know its been a few months since I first posted this but due to some replies I've received I think I should clarify these things 👍🏻
Majority of the people in this amino group knew I was 9-10, which honestly makes it worse because they didn't tell the moderators "Hey there's a literal child in an amino group based around an 18+ game please remove them"
Speaking of that, the reason I was on amino and liked yandere simulator as a 9-10 year old was because I was an idiot kid who had basically unlimited internet access and because of this I had already watched RUclipsrs play violent and gorey video games such as resident evil and fran bow therefore I was desensitized to this sort of violence as long as it was fictional
This was in the mid-late 2010's when people were starting to realise Yandere Dev was a weirdo, but as a kid I thought the reason people didn't like him was because he took too long to update the game because thats something many of my friends (who also liked yandere sim) said when asked why people didn't like him so I just assumed that was the reason
Also thanks for all the support to the people who were nice to me in the replies, to all the people who were trying to blame me for what happened despite me being a literal child at the time (I mean now I'm a teenager, I'm smarter and obviously don't like Yandere Dev anymore, but even now people don't expect me to act all perfect like you guys are expecting a literal 9-10 year old boy to act) then just leave and don't waste your time getting all pissy over a kid

Hope you're okay now.
Don’t be a yandere
Open up to your parents more.
Moral of the story don’t try becoming g a ganders it will mess you up
I was in the same place at the age 12, it was easy for me to be influenced by this game as I had been bullied too which made me already mentally ill.
i remember in middle school a lot of kids thought it was cool to be “yandere” to their crushes. it was really cringe but also sad to see.
the game isn't a problem, it's actually really really fun, the dev behind the game is the problem
although yandev did say in his blog he might potentially give development to someone else as a last resort, so here's hoping he does so yandere sim can actually go somewhere
I doubt it with what’s going on especially since I was following this high school and now I’ve almost completely forgot about this
No one is going to touch it after Yandev’s exposure. This project is about as toxic and radioactive as the man behind it.
Exactly
Gta your a spree killing, drug dealing murderer, games aren't fucking real.
protagonist and antagonist arent simply good guy and bad guy, the protagonist is the main character of a story, and the one who ultimately succeeds, an antagonist is the direct enemy to the protagonist, and actively tries to combat the protagonists goal, this is what is blurred so heavily in gaming culture, people really need to recognize this more as it could prevent games like these from being taken into a spotlight of good...
You are heavily miscalculating the situation. This game only exists to fulfill the fetishes of a pedophile weeb, nothing more.
@@nevaehhamilton3493 anyone who sees pedophilia in such a game has serious things to hide in real life.. Are you have skeletons in your closet?
it doesn't just glorify stalking, it glorifies mental illness, specifically bpd. i have struggled with bpd throughout the entirety of my dating life and it is one of the worst mental conditions to struggle with.
Not only is it glorified, but worse, its also romanticised, and even worse than that, it, like many other behaviours, are s__x#@/!$_d
That sucks I don’t think mental illnesses should be glorified
The worst part is its also romanticised and s__x_@|!$ed
Its also romanticised and s__ualised
@@satanikbunny Yeah, it's a huge shame that it was Alex who made her, and not someone with ambitions that aren't about the fulfilment of some wicked ideals of love.
genuinely a really cool analysis! if only it was actually intentional because yd himself clearly is not capable of storytelling that good
I hope all the victims and their families can recover
Yandere simulator has only been an idea of a game to me. Since YandereDev spent years and still not finishing it. There isn’t much official content. So when the allegations and evidences came out, it’s very easy for me to just stop thinking about the game.
A game which is built entirely on the creator’s inappropriate and problematic fantasies makes it hard for me or anyone I know to separate it from the creator.
Highly problematic? Hell, it's illegal in the real world
,yandere simulator is not a take place in the real world It takes place in a fictional world dumb kid
@MrDjBigZ Sad how you give this stuff a pass.
It is illegal in the Real life world but it's a fictional world you dumb
Yuka Takaoka’s “boyfriend”, known by the name Phoenix Luna, wasn’t her boyfriend. She was paying for his time as he was a host, the male counterpart of a hostess in Japan. He was rather popular and she was his top spender. She thought she owned him, and Phoenix only stuck around because she was practically paying his bills. So no, this was not a boyfriend girlfriend situation, and please never forget Phoenix Luca.
Look, I dispise Yanderedev as much as the next guy, but saying the whole yandere trope is 'problematic' is like going to watch a horror movie and being surprised by there being disturbing topics.
a ton of the 'problematic' aspects seen in the game aren't that uncommon or outlandish by anime/manga standards anyway lol
i started liking yansim when i was 8, branching from my hyperfixation of vocaloid.
i can't deny how the exposure of questionable content has ruined me. i had genuine delusions that if i just absolutely went insane and snapped like ayano did, i would end up happy because i eliminated everyone that was "on my way".
fiction affects reality in so many ways. i can't believe there are still so many people that thinks it does not.
p.s could you tell i was severely bullied as a child /hj
Wait... I also had a hyperfixation on vocaloid that branched to yan sim!!?!?!?
i mean if your 8, pretty obvious the shit you see will affect you, children aren't always smart, fiction doesn't affect reality just perception, and well, perception can become your reality if you believe hard enough
just reading the title- tell me you don’t know what glorification means without telling me. just because ayano is the protagonist, doesn’t mean she’s meant to be the good guy. it’s obvious her behaviours are not normal or condoned.
being caught doing any of those crude actions always results in a trip to the guidance counsellor and strange whispers.

Yandev calling himself a dev is like standing in a garage and thinking you’re a car.

I'm glad you made a video about this. Yanderedev is such a strange and sick man. it's good to let more people know about him.
She's also protecting him from other girls that she believes doesn't deserve him
i honestly see no problems with the dark themes in the game, things like these happens and the game being anime inspired turns them up one or a few notches. the Teacher, School Nurse, the Sister. Senpai is basically a caricature from a Echi Harem anime and you're playing as the villain in a murder story. it's a lot like GTA in the mature topics of content in it.
i like and may even love the idea of the game, but as many state it's wasted potential
(although i do would like someone to be devoted to me as a yandere would)
shes not in love with him, shes in love with the idea of feeling emotion

Yandere dev's is much more disturbing than i thought, thank you for posting this documentary, keep the good content up.

When the "accusations" against Alex came out, I genuinely wasn't surprised in the slightest.
I’ve watched Mike’s videos from time to time and am proud to say that it was never for his yandere videos. And I would not abandon him if he stopped posting content for the game.
saying that yandere simulator glorifies stalking is like saying that GTA glorifies killing people and robbing banks

I disagree with It glorifies stalking, Its like saying hitman glorifies being killer
Maybe idk parents should be more responsible and keep their spawns off the internet. 🤦♀️ Why should RUclips be responsible for your failed abortions?

They finally told me about every single guy I was seen with even if we weren't together or anything. Even talked to. I didn't think someone so obsessive and unhinged can and will go to that extent. The police are currently investigating. Im waiting for the day when i hear he's finally behind bars.
From the moment I saw it being played I knew there was something wrong with it. Both the problematic stuff and the fact that it wasn't finished after all the time and money it got.
I've never liked anything to do with the game and I never got how people did. And it turns out the developer was just as toxic. I'm so glad you touched on this.
Can’t wait to see your point of view of this situation
me neither
"GTA: A Game That Glorifies Stealing Cars".
This is the title of the next vidoe.
That's what I thought of when I saw the title changed
Tbh, yandere dev doesn't care about the development.
He's only making the game for his own pleasure.
The show YOU does the concept of romantic obsession right. The stalking seems glorified, but shows awareness that it shouldn't, and it's creepy
dayum you have come so far. I've been watching u since u had 5-8 videos, congratulations on the 300k subs!
Thank you for supporting throughout the year 😭😭😭. It’s unreal
@@VisualVenture tbf you do deserve it like your editing and the information you research for these
Yeah I don’t think the games gonna be finished 💀
Unless Alex Mahan takes action against the critics.
It technically was finished once...yandev just threatened to commit [slip n slide] so that the person who made a complete version, wouldn't release it and "ruin yandev's life's work".
That grand work, being grifting supporters of the game, out of their money.
The guy should be arrested and someone else should take over.
Yuka Takaoka and the man she stabbed weren't dating, he was a host and he was just doing his job pretty much
A good inventory option was only making it available once you ended your first “rival!” The reason for that is; their head is where you store inventory! And to add even more - the more rivals ended, the more purse/backpack head choices you had!
wouldent carrying around heads make you more suspicus tho? did the dev listen to "mr jhonsons head" then came up with the idea?
one girl in my class is so obsessed with the yandere concept. first when she told me about it i wasnt really paying atention about what she said so i kinda ignored it till she pulled a knife on her crush in our class and almost killed him after he said that he dont like her she literally attacked him with a 3-4” knife and if we and our teacher wouldnt stop it i dont know how it will end up the fact that in that moment she was 12 when she did that was hillarious… She got certificated autism this year but i still think that there is some kind of dissorder. by that time im scared to go to school and the thing that i was her crush before is genuenly scaring me.
damn
If I’m being completely honest,I forgot this game existed.
I mean, eventually everyone will, so you aren't alone.
All characters in this game are 18 or older but it's still disturbing since it has a young audience
and I’ve never liked the game or it’s community. I’ve seen people remake this game inside Gacha which stood out to me as annoying and weird being obsessed with somebody and willing to do absolutely disturbing things to them ISNT GOOD.
also love your content keep it up!❤️🔥
How is it wrong to be obsessed with somebody not mentioning the yandere dev or it's pedo whatever scandal.
@@coolgamer2135Why is the game about murdering high schoolers what they're so obsessed with?
@@coolgamer2135Did you just really ask that? Did you just really ask what was wrong with someone constantly crazing over, stalking, manipulating situations in order to be with their obsession? Did you just really ask what was wrong with being so infatuated with a person that you would watch them daily 24/7, think about them more than yourself and your well being and health and do anything to get their attention including breaking every type of law in existence? *Did you really just ask that?*
@@thepotato4802 Oh cmon compared to the horror stories that I heard about relationships this one is literally child's play compared to the others.
This guy has been certified to be a “channel that you watch while eating”
The editing style is simple yet eye catching
And the script is top notch
Wish that your channel blows up.
Can we all appreciate the effort Visual Venture puts into filling up our chalices with their content?
Hot take: obssession is ok as long as it doesnt harm anyone, including the obssessed
That is a hot take, playing with lava fr, but as long as it doesn’t turn into stalking or anything illegal then it’s fine (imo)
Jesus Christ, we definitely need this game to be deleted off the Internet forever.
yeah defo agree 👍👍@@nevaehhamilton3493
Yuka wasn’t his girlfriend. Rotten Mango covered this topic recently, I highly suggest watching that video for more information on the case.
This game gave me a preference for obsessive girls.
The REAL problem with having the teacher and the school nurse as rivals is that it glorifies an adult dating a minor, which is illegal. Senpai is only a minor, so it would be illegal for the teacher and school nurse to date him and they would be fired if that were to happen.
Just shows the devs mind.
Yuka Takaoka has nothing to do with the game
