    Yeah I agreed that the ram should have been tiered up. I also would want them to tier up the ssd. I feel like it would make more sense to get the 1080 touch and just buy a nice 1tb ssd.

    Hm, this is a really good idea, but the configurations ont really make sense. 1600$ and 2000$? at that point really just get the stealth, theyre both thin and light ultrabooks but the stealth is more powerful and around the same price?? The only model that makes sense is the 1200$ model. Not even hating I think this is a great idea but the prices just don't really make sense.

    If it was the same price or just a bit higher than the new M1 MacBook Air I’d buy it right away. But it’s hella expensive. Comparing it here in Canada, the MBA costs $1170 and this costs $1700. Both prices are for base models. That is absolutely RIDICULOUS. They cannot justify that price at all.

      @Aarish Kodnaney Dell doesn't have good customer service unless you get the ProSupport Plus warranty. It's partially true, then. When a Razer laptop breaks down, there are no parts available on the market to fix it and no easy way to get to Razer to get a specific part. With Dell, HP, Lenovo, [Insert Big Brand Here other than Apple] it's relatively easy to get parts and repairs.

    As a developer, this is much more in line with what I need out of a laptop, it also shows why Lenovo dominates this market. I routinely run 10g of ram. And often, I will need to spin up a virtual machine (or two) for testing. This is such a pain on a laptop limited to 16gb. It becomes too slow. I would like to see a laptop with more ram. I would also like to see the logo shrunk down, and maybe moved to a corner. If you are sitting in a client's office, and they see that big snake logo on your laptop, they're gonna think you're playing a game on company time. But I do appreciate the push lately on the part of ALL manufacturers to bring elegance to "work" focused machines. The days of the plastic-fantastic work laptop are almost over!

    Heres what razer should of done.
    - 16gb of ram and ease of upgradeability

    - More depth to the keyboard
    - $1200 bucks

    • @anarki_in5680
      @anarki_in5680 4 года назад

      - 16 GB of RAM option exists.
      - The logo doesn’t glow and doesn’t show at an angle. Get a skin, they cost $10-20 at the most if it bothers you that much.
      - High refresh rate screens don’t make sense for a business laptop, you get a 120Hz screen on a Razer Blade Stealth that’s available for $1500 or so on Amazon, with a GTX 1650MQ. Also 75 Hz? That’s indistinguishable from 60Hz and also no such laptop panel exists.
      - Pretty much the same keyboard depth as the XPS 13 and MacBook Pro 13.
      - If you want an aluminum unibody, don’t be a cheapskate. There’s a reason why these exist, and then cheaper plasticky options/plasticky options with metal lids.

    • @AvoidVanity
      @AvoidVanity 4 года назад

      The 16gb option is like 1500 and it only comes on touch or 4k variant not the non touch because touch is useless and works like ass.
      I don't want a skin they look tacky just remove it, everyone wants it gone.
      I use a 280hz monitor and 60hz is so laggy, 75hz is noticable better and will look smoother compared to competition and it's better for light gaming.
      Apple makes a macbook for cheaper with a way better track pad, speakers and screen and your saying they can't make it better for the same price...

    • @anarki_in5680
      @anarki_in5680 4 года назад

      @@AvoidVanity Same with the XPS 13, the XPS 13 with a 60 Hz, 1920x 1200 Display, i7-1165G7 and 16 GB of RAM has touch as well and costs $1600. So the competition for high-end/premium 13” ultrabooks is at around $1500-1600. Also bear in mind you can pick up a Blade Stealth with a i7-1065G7, 1650 Max-Q and 16 GB RAM for the same price on Amazon if you really want specs.
      Skins don’t look tacky. Go for a non-tacky one from D-brand that’s a plain color.
      A 280 Hz monitor is TN. Laptops do not use TN panels. High refresh rate IPS panels are expensive, even more so on laptops which aren’t particularly high volume, like a 13” ‘gaming’ laptop. You get 120 Hz on the Blade Stealth I mentioned above for the same price if you want it, it’s the only high refresh rate 13” panel. 75 Hz is absolutely too little an increment for me and mostly anyone.
      Lastly, I don’t see a 1165G7 Thunderbolt 4 equipped MacBook Pro, idk if you live in the future or something.

    At $1200 I think they are trying to hit that premium Ultrabook market that Apple tries to occupy with the MacBook Pro 13. Not withstanding at $1300 your MacBook has an 8th gen i5 appose to an 11th gen. If the SSD and/or Ram is upgradable I think honestly it may be worth it.

    • @anarki_in5680
      @anarki_in5680 4 года назад +1

      It’s not aluminum finish, it’s aluminum unibody, and Apple doesn’t have a monopoly on those. Also good build quality costs money, big surprise. Go for some plasticky thicc laptop if you’re all about spec sheets.

    • @joshconfer209

    • @anarki_in5680
      @anarki_in5680 4 года назад

      @@joshconfer209 Well there is a market for ‘looks not function’. I mean the XPS line is also similarly priced. Also these laptops tend to carry the best screens in terms of color gamut and contrast, and also tend to have the speediest SSDs, so on. Along with build quality, that’s a lot of things not mentioned on a traditional specsheet where these guys spend money. It’s a different segment. If I’m serious, your comment was very droll.
