Nice, a Cuban FAL! They're not well-known, let alone common. Some people even find it hard to believe that Cuba used FAL rifles. They were made for and delivered to Fulgencio Batista's government before Castro took over.

@@qamzatmedvedov Most of the equipment that Cuba has was From the Angolan Conflicts. The Soviets told Cuba that a percentage of the equipment sent to angola was going to be kept by the cuban army. If you want to know something more interesting is that Cuba produced the Vilma optics and actually gave the license of production to Venezuela. The closest thing to use of the 74 series is the 74U which is used by the Cuban black berets are the ones that use it and cuba secret service use it but that is not the armored forces, but the MININT which is internal affairs basically. Cuban special forces tend to use AMD, Romanian Akm, Russian Akm, and such they also use Akms for certain operations. Cuba does not have any FAL since they send mostly all to Nicaragua, Colombia and Venezuela. When it comes to the video that Cuban FAL is really unique and rare since it still has the cuban coat of arms. Cuban government did a program of erasing the serial numbers and drilling holes to the Coat of arms to cover it. Then like stated above they would send it to other american nations. Cuba has alot of VZ.52 rifles in reserves that they got from czeck. There is alot of interesting info about cuban military.

Cuban was in the process of buying new weapons for its Army right before Castro won the war. In fact there are super rare Cuban AR10s out there, they have a green stock. I never heard of a Cuban FN FAL but it makes sense there would be a competition and many companies would submit rifles to the pre Castro Cuban army.

Not really, the T48 beat the T44 hands down, even when the testing was biased against the T48. But Springfield et al, lied through their teeth on the economics of using existing tooling (wasn't so!) and so the T48 went to 90 other countries and is still in service today.. The T44 was never purchased by any other country and only in standard US service for 7 years. Because it just wasn't that good.

These FALs were used in the early 60s until the introduction of the soviet AKM. I can't remember, but I think they we're cut out of service because of the sabotage of La Coubre, a ship that was carrying ammo from Belgium for the Cuban army. There is a tv show called Lucha Contra Bandidos that describes the period of fighting in the mountains against groups that rebelled against the Cuban regime from 1960 to 1965. What is a fragrant firearm if it's polymerization makes it look like a stormtrooper's rifle? [Star Wars, not 3d Reich] Texture matters when wood, steel & brass combine to produce a symphony. Without texture, it's just music baby.

Now, what would happen if a Cuban FAL and a Rhodesian FAL would collide? A potential collaboration, perhaps?

this fals were order by batista because the US had put a weapons embargo on cuban government because of the ongoing civil war and him being a dictator, the weapons were delivered shortly after castro had took power of the, the fals saw some years of service in the cuban army and in some conflicts in the country like the bay of pigs, but in the mid 60's they began to be replaced by soviet ak-47 and akm and the remaining cuban fals were sent by to algeria(a castro ally) for their war against morocco, and later in the 70's and 80's to some latin american communist guerrillas in nicaragua and el salvador.

I guess that the rifle is the FALO not a FAL ;3
But anyway, full auto 7,62 NATO... has a very strange effect on my body (especially on some lower parts). At least I can cuddle my FAL to release the tension ;3
And if that rifle is Cuban... Does it still apply to her that she is the right hand of the free world?

According to Wikipedia Batista ordered the FN FALs and some of them were intercepted and used by rebels, essentially fighting on both sides :)

      @@PolenarTactical Thanks for your answer!
A classic complicated destiny, when the rifle fought against itself and won every time. I'm not surprised in the case of one of the most widespread rifles in the world.

it wasn't that bad, FALs are soft shooting with the correct gas setting
