- The Baht bus in Pattaya is a very popular method of transport here in the city. but where do the buses go when you travel around the Pattaya City area?
In this video I take the most common of the Baht Bus routes and show you a few tips along the way. I even managed to get shouted at for no reason at all lol. Never a dull moment here in Pattaya for certain.
I also cover a question I was sent about those who want to be classed as a Butterfly here in Pattaya and what to think about if that's your thing here lol

you handled the two no hopers that got off on second road really well Trev. You are real gentleman mate. I am looking forward to having an ale at your bar in TT in 2022 when I get there. I recognized one of the grumpy guys. He is an expat and drinks regularly at Nida bar at soi buakhao. Always drunk and looks like he wants to pick a fight and is disgruntled with the world. He always stared me down when I walked down the lane from D Hotel to Buakhao.
Trev really is a gentleman, he displayed it in a recent video where he asked a pizza lady if she can take 12 inches.

I got really bladdered one night, very bad. I got on a baht bus to go to buakhao. I woke up god knows where, apparently at the very very end of the run. Fortunately a kindly thai girl got me off the bus and took care of me. She flagged down a taxi driver and told him very sternly to get me back to my hotel., she backed this up by emphasizing that on no account was the taxi to deviate, but to go straight to my hotel. She even negotiated the fee for me. Bless her. I might have got robbed or worse if it wasn't for her.

Another good tip Trev. I always carry enough toilet paper just in case. some toilets don't have paper or a gun.....

Yeah the lippy jerk at 6:10 exactly as you mentioned in another vid. Had you jumped off and got in his face it would have ended badly for all with Police. Much better to do what you did. Let him go get in trouble with somebody else while you continue on with your peaceful day. This was a perfect example of practicing what you preach! Well done my friend! 👍🏻😁

Hi T, that was one of the most informative lessons for newbe's I have come across in a while, I got stung on my 1st trip in both a taxi tout at BKK and a Baht Bus in Pattaya.
A good idea about stopping a Baht Bus and asking him the price to show people that you have no need to have any conversation with the driver about anything, which is why I only keep Bt10 coins and give the other coins as tips (the smaller coins are pretty useless to you anyway unless you want to carry a pocket full of change and look like a cheap Charlie)
Plus people (farangs) should know that Baht bus drivers don't give change, so if you give him a Bt20 + note, he will simply drive off.

Butterfly far away at first. That’s what I call the cinnamon roll technique. The center of the cinnamon roll being your hotel. Start on the outside of the cinnamon roll at the beginning of your holiday and work your way in the the center!

Ok, so I am one of those "2 week millionaires", but closer to 4 weeks. And I have, (or had, if they do not reopen) a favorite gogo. I tried others but was most comfortable at this one location. Anyways, I made it very clear to mamasan ,management, and the girls that I was there to have a good time for a few weeks, and play the field. As a result, I did have a great time, the management always welcomed me, and there were no hurt feelings regardless of who or how many I took back to my room.
So I guess my best advice is to be upfront with them, you aren't looking for Miss Right, just Miss Right Now. 😎

Hi Trev great rideabout mate, I’ve also found that you could be just standing on the side of the road and the bhat bus drivers will horn at you and slow right down to see if you want to jump on, Pattaya attracts all sorts from all walks of life but most are really nice people but you do get the odd nut job.

Yeah they can be volatile
It's all about the money. Massage places are like this too here. If you come back the next day to the same shop and get a foot or body massage from a different girl, the other girl you had on the previous day will not be too pleased. It's almost like a salesman's job. They don't like it when you do business with others and lose the chance at getting more money from you.
I can't believe prostitutes charging you for sex have the audacity to be jealous pmsl. They are whores! You should be able to sleep with any of them from any bar. And on top of that you are paying the bar a fine! Only in Thailand it seems.......
A lot of foreigners act so badly. It's no wonder why the Thais don't like us. I had to laugh the 1st time a bar girl called me a butterfly. She sleeps with a different guy every night and she calls ME a butterfly? Hahaha 555

Great up here too, but it is 10 baht total from start to finish in Khon Kaen. Immigration, KK Hospital, Central Plaza, City Centre, Bus station, all accessible for 10 baht. Only downside here is that they don't operate after dark, which is not the case in Pattaya.

Hi Trev, classic video and thank you. I couldn't help laughing when that nutter farang started giving you crap while getting off the baht bus. Again that brought back memories and your advice of avoid fights at all cost. In my many trips to Thailand I have never been in a fight, but do recall many aggressive people trying to start one..... and nine times out of ten it is a dead shit farang causing it lol

My very first day in Pattaya I got a baht bus from the top of beach road near the dolphin roundabout and he told me I could sit in the front and I only went about 3/4 of the way down beach road and he charged me 500 baht 😂

Good advise to all the butterflies out there. Thai’s don’t like to lose face, if you walk past their bar with a new girl you might cop some trouble as you are rubbing her nose in it. They are people and deserve respect

I've been coming to pattaya for over 7 years and use the baht bus nearly every day. In normal times there is a lady at the start of 2nd road that makes sure the bus is full to capacity before they depart, so no chance of walking down the road a bit to flag one down and in that time it has always been 10 baht each for 2nd Road and Beach Rd. The funny thing is that if you go from say tree town to Jomtien you have to get off at that junction and walk around the corner to get another but from Jomtien you can travel all the way back along 2nd Road. Also that standing on the back rule they tried to implement about 6 years ago but after complaints from the Baht Bus company and the drivers disappeared into the background but I think the rule is still there.

I found getting around Pattaya with the Bhat Bus was very convenient, easy and cheap. My only issue was my first night there, I wanted to get back to my hotel, which was in the direction the beach road Bhad Bus was going, but I was on 2nd road...I was at Soi 6 near 2nd Street and it was about 3 AM. I had just gone through the gauntlet on Soi 6 so I decided to avoid that by going down the Soi 6/1 alley, which looked clear. I WAS WRONG! Got accosted by numerous aggressive ladyboys, who offered me crystal meth! Got past that in one piece, but learned an important lesson...Don't go down Soi 6/1! No harm done though, just wasn't prepared for that. I was nice...simply said no-thank you, and escaped.

They mainly go down the one way systems so whichever way they're facing generally speaking is the root they're going to take
Great blog as usual trev, yes you handled the Young punks well, I secretly would have like to see you backhand him... but anyway. I laugh at the Not standing on the landing/back of the baht bus. My mate and I was both standing on there on our way out to walking street one nite. I mentioned to him I was a little worried about him 120kg me 130kgs and well it was manufacturered lol. Didn't even consider a fine so thanks for heads up .

When stopping in Naklua..Got on the bus at Mikes,,it used to grate me when the driver turned left at first cross road,,next bus,left at Dolphin...3rd bus up to Naklua...Grrrrr..

The blue Baht buses around town are 10 Baht when they follow their normal route.
The white Baht buses along Sukhumvit are 20 Baht. I think they go all the way down to Sattahip.

They come in all shape & sizes don’t they.. He will get his due alright someday.. Anyways been a butterfly since 2011 so no issues there, just play by the unwritten rules & you are good.. That Thai restaurant “Fra Pattaya” amazing food specially “Duck ” delicacies went for the first time some 8 years back with a lady from beer garden” looking forward.. Cheers mate 👍🏼

You do get Baht bus drivers trying it on, but most are good. 10B for the loop, if you want to be taken directly to your hotel it becomes more of a Taxi, and they charge 100B within central region.
