@@tomasitto299 definitely constests for it, op 18 is also quite difficult, just matters on the person. I am practising op 18 at the moment and i can say that it is not a very easy piece at all, the repeated notes and the jumpy happy feeling is quite hard to achieve
@@yeet4284 Yes, it depends on what piano you're using for those repeated notes. The op 18 one is really tricky because of the repeated notes and this one is tricky because of the fast ascending scales
This waltz evokes a lovely memory. I'm sitting in my dormitory in the school for the blind where I grew up and I'm recording this from my transistor radio onto my little stand-alone cassette recorder - a terrible recording but I never forgot this waltz. It wasn't a nice place, but there were memories like that. Thank you so much. Nga mihi
I am always impressed by your repertoire and playing ability. Keep being you and keep playing this beautiful music! You're an inspiration, Traum! The Chopin Waltzes were my introduction to the romantic/classical piano world so these are an absolute pleasure to revisit!
I've done that at 3:35 before with other pieces I've learned. My mind says play at this octave, but muscle memory takes over and corrects. Very nice playing as usual, Traum.
I would love it if you made a discord, I think you could inspire pianists of all levels even more than you already do. I think doing little challenges for the community where they submit their performance while doing a challenge(like playing with gloves etc.) would be cool. Although you may not want to encourage everyone to play while drinking 40% alcohol 😂 Great job Traum I’m super excited to see what the future holds for your channel.

The waltzes are amazing and the Chopin is amazing. It can’t be found anywhere else like this !!! Also mazurka op 24 no 4 is a good one to play and sounds great. Keep up the good work man!!!!!
03:30 I like when I see the jump to the highest octave (as written by Chopin). I do not know why even great pianists often prefer to play it an octave lower.
Been following you since the can can video. Whenever I start learning any piece, I never finish it. xD I got so much motivated by your chopin waltz op.34 no.3, that I finished learning the entire piece in a week!!! Thank you Traum!
Congratulations on finishing this cycle! :) Enjoyed every single one of your performances! I also really look forward to you taking on his set of nocturnes should this be your plan!
Idk why but personally, I would play with the rubato even more, like finishing or transitioning phrases are going at a much slower pace for a sec and then back to ‘a tempo’ when we start a new phrase, this makes it sound much more elegant and full when you let the piano take in and bring the harmony more forward, giving it that waltz feel. Even though it may sound a bit less stable at first, it becomes much more clear when the slight drag of the tempo connects with the melody. Overall, the playing a music sounds very lovely and pretty as I’m hearing this piece for the first time.
My aural skills professor back in my senior year used this piece for one of the sections of our final exam and I never forgot how it sounded. She used the word "lush" to describe it and it has been almost 10 years since I graduated with a music degree. "Lush" is still the perfect way to describe this piece. You showed Chopin his due respect.
OMG! You played all Chopin Waltzes. You did an awesome work with this, I enjoyed it. And you published 3 videos in 2 days, this is insane. Double Congratulations! :)
Hello Traum . For no particular reason when l see you playing any of Chopins works l begin to understand why he's my favourite artiste. For you to master is one thing .For him to compose .........is just breathtaking ! Thankyou Traum .

Yes, I always look forward to that part aswell. That's where a bit more rubato would be great. Not too much, just linger a bit longer on those main chords. Never rush the dramatic bits.
Allow yourself to stop for a moment from the rush of everyday life and surrender yourself to the wonderful, fresh sound of the piano. Beautifully! Love me some waltzes. I love this waltz ..❤..
@@sebastianciarfella3061 you are right, that's possible. I am playing Chopin's op 18 right now, and even though I have the entire piece memorized sometimes I hesitate to remember which section is next
