@@masteredwinepps3955how about yes? most of us dont play classic shaman to use lava lash and maelstrom, we have wotlk or retail for that, i want to use a 2h and shocks.
Ghost Wolf could be interesting. In classic, outside of questing, it was really only used for preventing Rogue Sap openers. The damage reduction would be really nice paired with the new defensives. I'm hoping blizzard also changes the talent to 1.5 seconds, cause that 1 second cast was always clunky. I think the biggest love that shamans could use is the GCD on totem placement.
That hit rune could be good for ele if dual wield is universal. Elemental shamans could have 2 spell power weapons and an extra 5% hit they dont have to put on gear
I've had the idea for an ele/enh hybrid tank spec 21/30/0, with elemental gear, to make our spell based damage hurt more, as well as help fix mana issues. However Molten Blast working of AP throws a wrench into that, the other magical sources work off of spelldmg (shocks, imbues, fire totems, LS). I reeeeally hope that every source of magic damage across all classes can scale either off of attack power or spell damage, whichever is higher, to allow for more flexibility. For my spellhance tank concept, I also initially considered taking dw rune, but that'd cost him over 2/3 of his armor, lots of block (30% with rune, talents and gear), and tons of mana regen, so sadly no 5% spellhit and oh damage/imbue/spellpower enchant/weapon oil
Way of earth only works with rockbiter active, so i wonder if you can swap weapon enchant effects like stance dancing so you can still use earth shock at range. Already had a pvp build idea for lvl 25 which would be doing shield mastery/way of earth/lava burst. Earth shock becomes melee range but also off cooldown with other shocks. Get fast ghost wolf and imp lightning shield in enhance then go ele tree for more shock damage and 1 point in elemental warding to be more tanky toward casters. Gear could be all int cloth with a good shield since most armor and effects come from that but could also go with a mix of agility to dodge more and better into melee. The idea though is to run at ppl and widdle them down with lightning shield/melee/shock spams. Lava burst for that nice range finisher or starter or when being kited. The ghost wolf dmg reduction plays into this and will prob make for a great flag runner. Full ele at 40 tho :)
i just wish they'd implement some better totem management mechanics. move them once casted or desummon for mana regen or something. super clunky to use in classic
i interpreted the dual wield thing as them just getting dual wield by default and i thought i remember seeing confirmation of this but theres a chance i could be misremembering
enhancement for me 100%. The wording on Druid's wild strike seems like it affects both MH and OH attacks and while it says it does not stack with windfury totem it says nothing about windfury weapon, so phase 2 and beyond enhancement gets to dual wield with 20% chance of extra hit AND 20% for two extra hits. If blizzard doesn't nerf that it will be ridiculous.
@@maxdowell6175and if i remember correctly they put in the shared ICD at patch 2.1 wich means u MIGHT be able to downrank windfury weapon and have diffrent ICD on MH and OH so if that works u have 40% windfury proc with both and even a chance of trpple windfury proc when u stormstrike
aaaah too many classes are fun now :( priest first, coz im a sucker for healing then a shaman ( mellee/tank) ( ill prob make a 2nd sham for ele/healer speccs) then a hunter ( i prefer hutners for farming) druid ( feral) mage ( arcane/healer) ......
I don't know if each spec is going to be that good for phase one. It currently seems like ele is still going to have mana issues in pve and enhance dosen't have any strong abilities yet and probably will have pretty underwhelming DPS. Witht thqt being said I'll still roll a DD shaman.
Yes orc racial as shaman is the best you can be with taurens coming close 2nd.. the massive amount of stun resist especially with a lot of players that are warriors reta and rogues is very good.. on the flip side taurens having the 3 second stun will allow you to heal/burst an opponent at any given moment.. taurens also have a higher total health pool to counter. Troll should be the last race you pick only because you will not see the difference in combat with their racial.. and berserk haste bust become useless if you can't actually cast..
@@Shockuhmon that entirely depends on the spec that you play.. taurens then become three with orcs and trolls being tied. Also from my personal opinion troll falls off due to it being only 10 seconds on a 3 min.. also due to trying to take gear off and equip gear before pull to maximize the buff to 30%
As much as I am looking forward to positive class changes, the thing they ABSOLUTELY have to add is better food and drinks, something that regenerates a set percentage per tick and not just a tiny amount while your mana bar is way bigger than your mana cookie could ever regenerate in one sitting... now is the time! :)
It has already been spoiled in the dataminded files that they will be new in all professions. Blizzard has also confirmed that monsters will get new abilities, so the outdoors world monster will still challange! @@monocerotis6917I doubt they did anything but increase a few percentage values in the code. If they actually put more effort in that'd be awesome but I have massive doubts. Lol
im getting worried they might try to give us WOTLK class design which was too much. Honestly just classic with few tweaks per class to make all the annoying things less annoying (not viable).

We still got 6 rune slots that will/might get added in the next phases, so who knows if they will add something like this. My guess though, they probably use these other slots for utility and stuff like mana reg etc, rather than new abilities, while those 3 runes we see now may be the main ones to alter your build. but everything is possible, since they have not yet said anything about it.
Ghost wolf for resto and ele is still gonna be obsolete even with the "change" it's a good opinion for someone who has no idea what the pvp scene actually is so i can't really expect much
From my point of view. Shamans need Windwalk Totem and both resto shamans n druids need a way to cleanse magic. Pvp is what im most worried about. I have to see higher level runes.

I agree. I was hyped, but seeing we are getting 9 runes at 60 instead of 3. Makes it feel more like retail with shitty mana regen then classic vanilla.
finally someone who isnt only covering tanking shamans
to be fair, we've been begging for tank spec since vanilla
They are already making Enhancement-Shaman turning into a TBC/Wotlk Spec. They should give 2H-Shamans some love.

Playing shaman on phase 2 - 3+ . Brd gear at 50 is gonna be lit to play ele in pvp!
I mean it’s a GHOST wolf. Maybe it should give some dodge instead of damage reduction. Just a theme suggestion.
