Thank you. If you haven't seen from my short yesterday we made a HUGE change to our Tow Vehicle and it's going to change everything for us. We just couldn't rely on the older Expedition after what happened and are looking forward to traveling without the worry. Thanks for Watching!
I love your camper. I am just learning about it and I think I want to get one next year or two. I have a new pop up now but would like something a little easier to set up that will sleep three and not leak so easily.
Thanks for Watching! Popups have their place for convenience and utility. There are still several steps to setting up a Sol camper, but the security and peace of mind is worth it. You might want to look into the sol Dawn and sol Eclipse, These are smaller models with almost all of the amenities but are lighter and could sleep 3 if setup the right way.
Sorry. Not sure what YT stands for. Glad you liked the video. We generally drive around 65 on interstate and our average MPG is 11.5 but we have not had a chance to drive on flat areas yet. Should go up some.
@@wanderingfireflies lol YT=RUclips sounds like decent mpg's; Thanks Oh and just in-case here are some more lol iT=intech TT = Travel Trailer TV = Tow Vehicle.
My wife and I are currently interested in the Horizon. In this video you mention that you slept great on the new mattress and that you talked about that in another video. I wasn't able to find another video about the mattress, so I was wondering did you swap out the stock mattress for a new one? And if so, what mattress did you get as a replacement? Or did I misunderstand? Also, we currently have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee and if we install the tow package from the Jeep dealer, I believe the towing capacity will be 4500 lbs. What are your thoughts on towing the Horizon with that capacity? Thanks for all the helpful information.
Thanks for watching. We did replace our mattress. I will supply the link below. It is a foam mattress from amazon. It is much better then the 7" supplied from Intech. As far as using a Jeep Cherokee I would very strongly suggest against that. While technically you may be within the weight limit on the tow, the tongue weight of the Horizon is almost 650 lb. So you would need a TV that can handle at least 700-800 lb of tongue weight to be safe on the road. We just upgraded to a Ram 1500 Laramie with a 8100 lb capacity. Be safe out there. You might want to look into the Dawn or Eclipse if it's just 2 of you. Let us know if you need any more help.
@@wanderingfireflies Thank you for the reply. You confirmed what I was thinking about the Cherokee but thought I would ask. I look forward to the link to the mattress. I've heard from others that they don't love the stock mattress. Thank you again and happy travels.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this particular camper. Your 5 dislikes I strongly agree with and are the reasons why I am looking away from the Sol. Looking forward to watching future posts. Best regards, Bob
Sorry to hear your looking away from the Sol.. We love our Horizon and are taking it out again this weekend. We know it's hard to find just that right camper for your needs. Quality was so high on our list we were ok with overlooking some of the smaller things. Thanks for Watching!
Loved the night shot with the blue lights.
