It actually works really well if you have a porchlight that you have on whenever it is dark and you can disable the IR light!

#1- Home invasion is when someone knocks on your door and pushes their way inside with intentions of either harming you or robbing you. When no one is home it is called a BURGLARY NOT HOME INVASION. #2- A robbery is when someone physically takes your property from you either by force or threat to use force. When someone breaks into your house its called a BURGLARY.

The back door one doesn't make any sense, at night the IR lights would reflect off of the glass obscuring the image.
Electric the back door cam was mainly for daytime surveillance that 10AM - 3PM zone when most aren’t home. Also the lack of cameras to place it outside, he has it placed inside the home aiming out the door catching a lil of both worlds, that is until one can invest into more cams like he said in the vid preferably one at each entry point at which point that IR will be able to perform properly.
I guess he never saw a video of a guy in a hoodie looking down when they come to steal your packages or home goodies.
ALWAYS have a camera that also looks up, from a bush or rock near the front to get that money mug shot.
The continuous plugs for the "SAGE" security camera systems were annoying. Theyre not the best either. :(
What sort of camera can be put behind glass as you recommended. I have been looking formthis for ages but all have infrared which does not seemthrough glass especially at night. Dy time might get plurred image, at night jast black
Wyze cam v3 is great for this doesn’t flare.
Don’t use any wireless cameras their mention detection works differently and won’t pick up through glass.

It won't mess with it.. it will shine onto the glass giving a reflection .. so you only view a reflection of the camera not what is on the other side of the glass

it will definite mess with it.. tried it..done it... at night, the glass reflects the light from the infra red bulbs and you will NOT see anything except the bulbs on the camera.
Yes... but a little black tape or marker will fix that. I have some in my window with black tape covering the ir. Doesn't muck up the performance to bad.
Not if it comes with Wide Dynamic Range/Dual Wide Dynamic Range tech and has a setting for "indoor"; if you've got those two perks window glass looks crystal clear.

To me a good system has a loud alarm AND sends your phone an alert. I personally use a mix of hidden and obvious cameras/ motion sensors/ smart locks. In my opinion, your hidden cameras should monitor your obvious cameras in case someone gets brave and things they've defeated your obvious cameras

Most people mount the cameras very high thinking it catches more. Most of my neighbors are at the top of their second story. The angle won’t get good facial shots. Mine are about 8’ and get great facial shots. They are dome and can take plenty of punishment if someone wants to try. Like they said, show the cameras and the crooks pick easier targets. Twice I caught thugs trying to break into my neighbors cars and they walked away from my house. I’m well lit and have cameras.

I HAVE 2-IP SECURITY CAMERA AND 4-ANALOG SECURITY CAMERA WHAT KIND OF CABLE TO PUT THEM TOGETTHER AND SHOULD USE DVR OR NVR BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO PAY TO MAKE MY OWN SECURITY STATION
Pros and cons to hiding or showing video cams - I think hiding it is better b/c then thieves would know where to avoid or figure out how to disable it. A security sign would be better for intimidating them
i have outdoor lights... so at night, the cameras that are on the side of the house that have light are blinded by the glare of the light... even though the they are like 20 feet away.
Your camera is in the wrong place. Consider putting them above or below the lights. That way they are the illumination rather than the distraction.
