Epic! Great interview! Truly hope we see a Gremlins 3 in the cinema soon, with Zach and Phoebe back, and with 100% practical FX for the Gremlins. Of course, a large cameo from Robert Picardo and other previous characters (Judge) would also be terrific to see. While I was too young to see the original in the cinema, I did see Gremlins 2: The New Batch in the cinema with my family at the age of seven and LOVED it. Great memories!
I was 9 years old when I was starting to become obsessed with gremlins. Then I found out there was a sequel I loved it. I love gremlins 2 because it doesn’t take itself seriously, and the animatronics for the gremlins look both incredible and terrifying. If they ever make a gremlins 3, please keep the animatronics and minor cgi for large groups of gremlins.
I would love to see the Gremlins take over Vegas in a third film. Also, I don't know if they'll put that new Gremlins series on the new HBO Max app, since you can find the first two movies on the app.

Deagle singing xmas carols, when she opens the door to throw water on them it shows all of them lined up singing. *It's the one in the purple beanie on with the high pitched: ya,ya,yas the expression on its face combined with the ya,ya,yas crack me up everytime to this day when I watch gremlins😂😂 Sorry for my long comment. I over explain things sometimes lol.

As a Mogwai, he had such a different face than everyone else & he was bigger than the others, both as a Mogwai & as a Gremlin. Also, if you check online, some of these little guys have names. The one I mentioned was named Haskins. I don’t know for sure if the people who created him named him or if the fans did or if the people who made the NECA figures did. Any way you slice it, I love it ❤️

To do Gremlins 3 you need to go back to the original horror aspects of Gremlins 1. That, combined with the humor is what made Gremlins a special experience. Take it from someone who first saw the original upon its release back in 1984.
Omg his idea of needing to be well put together and needing expensive clothes was a perfect idea. Couldn’t see it any other way. Bet he did it to get the clothes too lol
Watching this right after the Super Bowl Mtn Dew ad makes Galligan explaining how the prequel cartoon will end up to a Gremlins 3 is pretty exciting and clever in hindsight. Getting the current generation being invested with the origins of Gizmo then move that excitement to a 3 (which could be a soft reboot a la be about Billy and his kids going through a similar situation) sounds like the most likely outline.
Man I was 10 years old when that movie came out. But I do remember renting gremlins 2 from the video store on VHS and the Nintendo game . It is one of my most treasured memories from my childhood .
And NO Phoebe Cates or John Glover or even Gedde ......☹️..... 4:21 Hope the writers watched the Dark Crystal series on Netflix to get a better understanding that a full puppet movie can be done .....
“They didn’t even have CGI” yeah those were better days for sure Nowadays they wanna inject cgi into everything. The worst is when they put it into horror cuz no matter how “real” they make it look, it still looks off and isn’t scary *practical effects are better count yourselves lucky*

And it's because the first one was billed as a comedy..... And IT WASN'T,.... I WAS A FUCKING HORROR MOVIE!!! (the original movie script had the gremlins EAT /KILL THE DOG!!!) and the second one MORE comical overall. Sorry for the rant but I had to get that off my chest!

Yeah, the main problem is lighting/materials in CG still tend to make things look plasticy/fake, also virtual muscles/animations need to be improved.
