MVP currently has 62 discs in production across their primary brands: MVP, Axiom, and Streamline. Their lineup and number of plastic options give them close to if not more than 200 options to chose from. I've looked at their estimated financials and the company is huge and has a disc for most if not all shot shape requirements. The Glitch is an amazing disc. I have it and the Berg. In low wind areas I use the Glitch, in high wind areas I use the Berg. For me they are good compliments. Love the content you guys put out.
Whats even crazier is their hockeystick progression as a company. Didnt they say they were near 1000% production over the previous year? So sweet to see as a fan bagging their discs from the beginning.
Have you tried the Clash Disc Butter or Popcorn? I think they are both as good if not better than the Glitch and Berg at sticking it close and way better at running it from out of jump putt range. They are very similar but I bag the Popcorn. It's the closest thing to a "Frisbee" I've thrown.
The Crave and the Insanity were the PDGA member disc the last two years. They were released in R2 with the glow rim. I think they are amazing discs for everyone including beginners.
Tier list idea: tier brands by what they’re good at. Like do a tier list of what brands have the best putting putters. Or what brands have the best mids.
Crave is amazing but I am liking the Rhythm more. I also like the Proxy better than the Envy. So many missing discs like the Uplink, Resistor, Defy, Terra, Fireball, Tesla, Atom, Photon, Rhythm, and Octane to name a few.
After throwing pretty much all Discraft(outside of my old trusty DGA Squall)since I started over 20 years ago, last year I bought a Relativity out of the used stock to replace a driver that had an unfortunate, and unplanned, swimming session go wrong. I absolutely love that thing and it is now my #1 driver. It's a 14.5 speed, but don't let that scare you. Now, in all honesty, I don't know how "used" this disc was when I bought it and there was no weight on it. That said I've talked to several MVP loyalists that say the MVP's....if it says it's a 14.5 speed, it's probably actually more like a 12...12.5 and once they start getting good and beat in that # actually drops a bit more. For example, I can get my 14.5 Relativity to anny just as much as my 9 speed Heat.
My favorites are the Envy, Servo, Wave and one you didn't mention the Tenacity. These tier videos are great as it's always fun to talk about plastic and see what others think of your favorite discs.
Joseph here. Yup, I putt with my Proxy, but recently bought a gang of grippy Envys to practice putt. (testing...) Must say that I got the Envys as part of the MVP Pod special where they were offering 12 discs plus the Pod for a good price. Would have preferred they offer the Proxy, but, oh well. Loving' the Gyro tech!
the wave is MONEY. I was (still am) a wraith thrower. I wanted a slightly stable and slightly understable 11 speed. Picked up a wave and zenith. Both are MONEY if you’re looking at 11 speeds or want to get into MVP!
Ok swanky, you just went up a notch in my book. The r2 ion is one of the best putting putters. Paradox and hex are great But wth, no uplink? no orbital??? The Orbital is one of the best understable distance drivers imo. Or what about the excite, the inertia, the vanish, the relativity??? The photon is good too, but the wave is overhyped imo. But other than that good video lol
I'm fairly new at disc golf and I picked up a Paradox a week ago and it quickly became one of my favorite discs. Playing in a woods course with some tight turns, I really enjoy throwing it whenever I get the chance.
Teleport is my favorite forehand disc, it's a bomber. The 14 speed discs from MVP are all great for forehand but I don't know many people who throw them backhand
I use a mixed bag of 36 discs and bag a handful of these MVP discs on your list. The Teleport is my favorite 14.5-speed disc, it flies straight with a nice fade at the end. A few other MPV discs that you should try. The Relativity is my go-to undersatble 14.5-speed driver when you don't need to use all your power. The Octane is an excellent 13-speed that's like a seasoned Destroyer but is perfect in fission plastic. The Energy is a super overstable 13-speed driver I mostly use as a utility disc and skip shots. Streamline Pilot is an excellent putting putter in baseline plastics and a great throwing putter in premium plastics. To me it closly feels like a P2 and an Alpaca but with a very small bead.
Almost all of my putters and mids are MVP at this point. Nomads for putting, Atoms for throwing, Stabilizers for OS approaches, Reactors for most straight midrange shots, a Runway for OS mid, and a Deflector for when I need to get out of jail. Absolutely incredible discs
It's been really hard to get my hands on anything by MVL locally or a good selection online. So I saved up and bought a 10 disc mystery box by MVP. Thanks for this video!
my favorites are the entropy, insanity, lift, and volt. i bag all but the volt, because the same time i got the volt i got a grackle from mint and they were too similar to justify both in the bag. i bag 3 insanity(2 neutron and a lightweight fission), an entropy and an eclipse lift (Oleskie tour series).
No Relay? (Better crave), Defy, Zenith, Tenacity, Uplink (better than paradox) Drift, Rhythm, Interia (better insanity and lift) an for real no Octane? That disc destroys the destroyer in every way
The Ohm even more so in my opinion. Tons of glide with enough stability that it is not too squirrelly if thrown poorly like the Glitch. If you combined an Envy, Proxy and Glitch, you have the Ohm.
I never really threw any MVP and a friend of mine got the Insanity this past fall and I threw that a few times and decided I needed to get a few myself and made a switch to the Anode's as my putting putters and love the way those feel and throw when putting and got the Plasma Inertia and already one of my new Fav drivers in my bag. Now I'm trying to decide what else to get.
You guys missed the Entropy, Relay, Resistor, Terra and Tesla and a few more - I bag all 5 of the ones I listed and like them all - agree with you that over Speed 9 their lineup isn't "great"
I have to give a huge shout out to the Tesla. I think a lot of people are put off by the Tesla because it is definitely more stable than its numbers suggest when new, but it is such a fantastic workhorse driver. It is highly controllable with just about the distance potential of an 11-12 speed, especially when broken in. I tend to lean on mine a lot for distance shots that need a healthy fade and power flex forehands. Definitely my favorite Gyro driver.
I tried to love the tesla fora while. Its def not as the numbers suggest. In the end, I swapped a plasma insanity in its place. Its definitely a capable OS driver tho, I can understand the appeal. I just couldnt seem to keep its nose down, but I am pretty terrible.
@@shanesplanetshane3795 I really didn't love it for a while for anything but mashing on forehands until I seasoned by Plasma one in and then I was smitten. The glide and turn increase while the fade still has some bite. So good in the woods.
You should try the Teleport into headwind. Just keep the nose under control and it does magical things. In most situations it doesn't do anything that other distance drivers can't do and I don't bag it too often myself. But the stable-overstable 14½ speed Gyro discs are really, really good in headwind. Also, Flare is a super easy thumber disc. But it may be a little deep for some people, so Fireball or Motion is the way to go if you want a lower profile.
With my slow arm speed (280’ drives), I’ve tried several MVP and Axiom discs that were simply too overstable for me (e.g., Photon and Tesla). A lot of the ones that aren’t, are too touchy for me to be consistent with (e.g., Orbital). That said, I just got an MVP Relay (6 speed) and I really like it. I also like the Envy. Along with the Relay, I got a Hex, Glitch and Proxy. I haven’t thrown them enough to have an opinion (I’m an ESP Buzz guy, so the Hex would be an addition, rather than a replacement). Because of the huge vertical edge on the Glitch, the few times I’ve thrown it, it hung on my index finger and jerked straight about 40 degrees off target. I’ll have to find somebody to play fetch, errrrrr, I mean catch with to get the hang of it. Thanks for the video!
mayhems!!! in plasma they go so far. and octanes in neutron for something straighter. love them both.. and the dimension and a tesla for sidearm :) cool vid. my lizottle is in the post.
For a tight straight line it is the OHM for me.The UPLINK is an amazing under stable mid that is over all a bit more useful than the PARADOX. I play at high altitude, so I bag both of them.
My favourites are Reactors, Pilots, and Resistor all are in my bag. The Pyro is identical to a DGA Quake, which I may slightly prefer. The flight is 100% similar. Love all their slower discs 6.5 and below. Lift is far better than the Trace. Eclipse Proxy is a staple in my glow bag.
Heh! MVP need speed and spin to fly, so if you are allmost there… They are super unreliable. Throw a tiny bit too slow… Stable… Throw it faster -> flippy. Been there done that.Still fun and good discs, but need the speed!
The Insanity has the same flight as the Wave, it's my most thrown disc on longer wooded or tunnel holes. The Zenith is my furthest flying disc. The Atom is the best putting putter and I own EVERY MVP/Axiom putter, it slots between the envy and proxy. The Uplink is there most underrated disc, it's a straighter more shapeable paradox that I bag over the Hex. If they make a disc in the neutron soft plastic, buy it! Hot take: the Glitch is a dog toy, I think it could be good if it was a little heavier. The Clash Butter and Popcorn are much better catch style disc, the Popcorn is one of two non MVP/Axiom disc I bag. Just my opinion, clearly!
It is so funny I started fully on Latitude. Now my main discs are atom envy proxy glitch hex crave paradox tesla wave orbital left from L64 are river diamond jade and fuse rest of the bag is berg athena and essence
Insanity in light fission, another in heavier Plasma and a third in Eclipse. Flippy to stable 9 slot covered. Of course you gotta have a Volt for that 8 slot. Proxy in eclipse is the goto for night golf, its just an envy in disguise. So much variance between same molds but different plastics. I enjoy some mvp's, but the numbers mean shit.... The Hokkom Crave is just a damn fine woods disc. Good compliment to a KaxeZ. Sorry, but mvp sucks for feel but great for results, imho!
Simmon is not be used to determine what is or isn't stable. When you can causally throw a disc with ungodly spin at 70 mph and call it 70% effort, sure go ahead use Simons flights to judge a disc.
@@haukikannel I've actually kinda retracted that comment. Recently I've been loving the crave. It's not really a driver though. Closer to a mid with a driver mold.

Gotta try the Lone Stars Dillo. Preferably in V2 or V1 plastic
Whats even crazier is their hockeystick progression as a company. Didnt they say they were near 1000% production over the previous year? So sweet to see as a fan bagging their discs from the beginning.
I bag the berg and the glitch for the exact same reasons... the kastaplast plastics, especially the k1 soft, are absolutely amazing! 😍
@@mrcordell865 Yes, the Butter and Popcorn are great discs. The new Fudge throwing putter from Clash is a nice more overstable putter.
Pyro is a 5-speed. Insanity and Crave were hella underrated because you did them first
The Crave and the Insanity were the PDGA member disc the last two years. They were released in R2 with the glow rim. I think they are amazing discs for everyone including beginners.
Y’all did my Insanity dirty
Tier list idea: tier brands by what they’re good at. Like do a tier list of what brands have the best putting putters. Or what brands have the best mids.
Oh I like this idea
Simon's first mold is definitely going to be some sort of distance driver that will immediately be everyone's favorite haha
So a 20.5 mm rim? ;)
I feel like they should make a 12 speed for Simon since it’s missing from their lineup.
Ya it’s going to be like a 12 speed pd2 type disc
You mean like everyone does with EVERY top rated disc golfer?
And by "everyone's favorite" you mean a disc so overstable that it goes straight for Simon but behaves like a Tilt for mortals?
Streamline Pilot - putter that I've used off and on for a while. I have a soft 1 for putting and a special edition for throwing (much more stable).
Crave is amazing but I am liking the Rhythm more. I also like the Proxy better than the Envy. So many missing discs like the Uplink, Resistor, Defy, Terra, Fireball, Tesla, Atom, Photon, Rhythm, and Octane to name a few.
They said they were only rating the ones they have thrown. They can’t give a fair rating of a disc if they’ve never thrown it
A max weight insanity in fission plastic is probably the best mvp disc for amateurs. that thing bombs at a 9 speed and it always has the reliable fade
Have you tried the orbital?
After throwing pretty much all Discraft(outside of my old trusty DGA Squall)since I started over 20 years ago, last year I bought a Relativity out of the used stock to replace a driver that had an unfortunate, and unplanned, swimming session go wrong. I throw servos craves and relays and that fully covers my straight to understable fairways. They’re INSANE.

I also use it for forehand. I tried to love it for back hand but it honestly just didn’t fit in my grip lol.
I agree, I throw alot of MVP slow and not much fast. I agree with Simon they need just a normal 12 speed
Also get a domey pop top on the streamline drivers. The trace was solid but I wish it had a dome to give it some more glide.
Beam coming. Cannot wait. Should be 12 5 -1 3
I use a mixed bag of 36 discs and bag a handful of these MVP discs on your list. The Teleport is my favorite 14.5-speed disc, it flies straight with a nice fade at the end. the spin is comparable to the glitch - low power holds a beautiful line. very nice in the woods of charlotte, nc.
The Ohm even more so in my opinion. Tons of glide with enough stability that it is not too squirrelly if thrown poorly like the Glitch. If you combined an Envy, Proxy and Glitch, you have the Ohm.

Just switched to the proxy and it’s my favorite putter hands down. Feel like my game went up another level
I hit the subscribe button! Great video fellas.
Pyro is a 5 speed not 4
And the Crave is 6.5 wich I think is the rim-size of a 6 speed with the extra .5 coming (according to mvp) from gyro.
I tend to throw the thicker rim discs as fh they really comfy for that but the 3 faster discs I bag is the panic, relativity, and defy
Do Discmania next!
I got the Flair for thw same reason and you guys are spot on 👌🤣
Paradox. Totally agree. Great utility disc!
Pyro is my favorite disc out of all molds and brands. They only make the Pyro and Envy in Prism plastic wich is realy durable and pretty ^^

first ace with a hex. mad love
“Ranking MVP discs with weak arm speed”

Hex was the only MVP family disc in my bag for the longest time. I know also bag a Glitch and a Streamline Jet.
Oh no my flare over the water lmao! I use it as a "tilt" for my noodle arm! Pyro is my favorite OS mid!
We all know that qui gon jinn made that shot with the Envy because he has the force!
The pyro and runway seem exactly the same to me. One has an overmold though so I guess that’s cool.
How are yall rating discs you've never thrown?
Omg lol I almost quit watching when the crave was only in good. Glad I kept watching 😂

You guys keep saying great disc to the fist 2 discs, surely then it belongs in the great category !!
Basket tier list would be cool :)
I would bet money that you two could throw the Lift just as far as the Wave or the Trace. It feels like a 9 speed but flies like an 11.
Love the Crave but as I get better at the game I think that compared to the rest of the field, Good is a fair placement.
It is so funny I started fully on Latitude. Now my main discs are atom envy proxy glitch hex crave paradox tesla wave orbital left from L64 are river diamond jade and fuse rest of the bag is berg athena and essence
Try the MVP Relay, incredible fairway driver
Impulse is my favorite disc from mvp. I have zero forehand, it’s given me a great backhand turnover
Volt should be swanky
Putting 2 of their best discs right off the bat in the third tier is wild.
TSA praxis… feels similar to envy atom proxy… flies super straight for me.
Insanity in light fission, another in heavier Plasma and a third in Eclipse. Flippy to stable 9 slot covered. Of course you gotta have a Volt for that 8 slot. Crazy thing is only have axiom in the bag
The Spin is way more understable than the proxy, or at least mine is.
pyro is 5 speed and slots in between a hex and a deflector
Streamline Drift really great disc
Runway is better than Pyro! Just as much reliable fade as the pyro but it's got more glide which fits the slot I need it for better.

Resitor an other great disc for a real overstable disc this still very workable being a 6'50 speed very rangeable but goes pretty far too

Inertia > Insanity
Photon/Defy and Wrath got no love....

MVP Drivers needs so much speed and spin to fly as they should!

Uplink!!!

Lmao good thing you moved it
Crave does deserve swanky tier
far too much disrespect on the runway, it is my favorite axiom disc by far
Servo is much better than the Crave, just sayin'.
No anode!
You can put them all in the dog toy category in my opinion but I guess that wouldn't make the best video.
