  • Card Cleaning Method Week 2: Master Bathroom Declutter | A Reality Check! 🚿🃏
    Welcome back, everyone! In today's video, we're diving into Week 2 of my Card Cleaning Method - and oh boy, it's an eye-opener! 🌟 (Week 1 was spent sick....so it is delayed in getting completed).
    Join me as I tackle what I thought would be a breezy Week 2, focusing on our master bathroom. Little did I know, it turned into a reality check - seems like I may have overestimated the last time I gave this space some TLC! 😅 Or underestimated how many cosmetics I have in my possession!
    The Card Cleaning Method has been a game-changer in keeping me on track. Each card represents a room or space, guiding my cleaning and decluttering journey. Week 2's card led me to the master bathroom - a room that needed more attention than I anticipated. But, am I ever glad to have tackled it!

    Ally have you seen Cass from Clutterbug today? I watched it after yours and you fit perfectly. I've watched you in your primary bathroom multiple times now. I truly do not need all that stuff. She's offering a free virtual makeover. It would be so neat if you did a collab that could be on both of your channels. I think you should give yourself a break and had a professional talk you through your stuff. She claims if it takes you more than 10 minutes to organize and tidy it probably means you have too much. I have been watching you for a long time and sometimes it is so painful watching you struggle. Life should not be so difficult.

      I’ve read many of Vondra’s comments in the past and I agree with her. (Her name stood out to me because my name is one letter off from hers.) You don’t have to be a minimalist. But clean up is so much easier with less stuff. It’s so awesome to go into a store and think, wow, I really don’t need that.
      I wish someone would have told me, that in the beginning it’s so hard to shift your thinking, but that the cool thing is, is that it gets easier and easier! It’s like a different part of your brain takes over, and you feel free! I want that for you Ally. You’re so precious and I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for making them for us. (I love Cass too!)

    Organic coconut oil, organic castor oil can do a lot for skin. I encourage you to look up natural products to use for skin care. I stopped buying all the skin things because we really don't need all those chemicals going on our skin which in turn goes into our system. :)

      I agree. I use micellar water, coconut oil and Jason's vitamin E skin oil. That's it. I'm 61 years old and have almost no wrinkles. I think simple is best, especially for sensitive skin. Plus, it eliminates so much clutter. Win/win!

    Your skin is forever, so you need to make it as easy as possible to use those products. Your clutter will be much better to handle once you can focus on it alone when your son is around 12, lol. I don't know why I said that because I'm still not organized and my younger son has been married fir 20 years, lol. What helps me the most in the bathroom is that I don't keep anything on our countertops but a tray between our sinks with a decanter filled with mouthwash and two small glasses (okay, they're shot glasses). On my vanity, I have a tray with perfumes and hand lotion, a small dish with my watch. It has helped so much not having anything on the counters. You'll need to keep the toothbrushes out, but maybe a caddy for your skincare can be stored under the sink. You're doing a great job. I don't know why I mentioned what helps me as you are much more organized than I. Take care, Linda 🦋

      Thank you for the tips Linda! I love hearing ideas that work for others!! I am so excited to swing back into the bathroom to finish the decluttering! And I love that you said skin is forever! I try really hard to take good care of my skin. It's my hair I don't know what the heck I'm doing with!!!! A caddy for my curling irons and stuff would work well! (But I didn't get down to that part of the cabinet!)🤣

    Had a very bad infection in my lungs and its almost 2 weeks ago but im tired out very fast still. So i had one week this year where i kept up with my normal routine and the rest of january is kinda meh. My house is pretty messy and feel like i need to catch up again. It wouldnt be this way if my husband was at home when i got sick but he was on the other side of the world for work. Its been hard but hopefully i will be running om 100% again in the next few weeks. For now prioritizing rest and im bad at it 😂

    • @ADomesticWannabe
      @ADomesticWannabe  7 месяцев назад +1

      I hope you start feeling better fast! And, I think we have something in common.. prioritizing rest is so hard! And, I think that is why I am a broken record recently about being sick! When I would talk about "the house is messy, I'll get to it when I feel better" it was like permission to myself to rest. And, now that I am feeling better I am getting so much done and caught up! So allow yourself to rest! You will get the house pulled together when you feel better! Sending you healing vibes!!!

    Maybe you could create a get ready caddy/container for yourself that fits on that shelf in the closet to make it easier to put them away every day instead of them being loose on the shelf. The Minimal Mom showed this idea on one of her videos I think. 😊

    Miss mustache here, on my husband account, lol.
    My bathroom looks the same and I clean and organize. It’s as if I don’t see it, it doesn’t exist. I like using different products according to what my mood or skin needs.
    Have heard of the trick of taking a flat, cotton round for faces and cut an x in the middle and put it on the base and you just change those? That’s what i do

    • @ADomesticWannabe
      @ADomesticWannabe  7 месяцев назад

      I think you mentioned this trick before! I just have to get cotton rounds! I had a bunch of cotton balls I wanted to use first! But now I'm out of those too! I will get them...it is so worth it not to try and clean those little squares out!!! Thanks for watching under your husbands account!!!
