- The Canadian Badlands stretch mostly along the Red Deer River in Alberta, between the Dinosaur Provincial Park and Drumheller.
The Dinosaur Provincial Park is a recognised UNESCO World Heritage site: "In addition to its particularly beautiful scenery, Dinosaur Provincial Park - located at the heart of the province of Alberta's badlands - contains some of the most important fossil discoveries ever made..." (unesco.org).
Drumheller area is another place famous for its Badlands and for the multiple Dinosaur findings.
In the video: Dinosaur Provincial Park (0:01), Red Deer River (0:43, 2:01), Atlas Cole Mine (2:15), Hoodoos along the Hoodoos Trail, Road 10 (2:34), Last Chance Saloon, Wayne (3:28), Drumheller World's Largest Dinosaur (3:38), Royal Tyrrell Museum (3:47), Horse Thief Canyon (4:04), Orkney Viewpoint (4:32), Horseshoe Canyon (4:39).

I have so many of these pictures too taking my young son and pics, that reflective pool by the hanging bridge.... I got that too. I used to survey around there a lot, and grew up just north a ways..... Best photo ops everywhere.
Unique beauty of Canada. Spectacular landscapes and rock formations. So beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Un video spettacolare. Grazie Milosh per aver condiviso queste bellissime e spettacolari immagini in questo fantastico luogo. Complimenti. Buona serata. 👍 243. Ciao, Lorenzo.
+Lorenzo TIRABOSCHI Thank you so much, my friend! Just leaving Italy, some videos will start showing up in the channel in a month or two...
Thank you. It's an amazing place and your presentation of it is also amazing.
It looks to me like a city that has melted after having been hit by something catastrophic, akin to a nuclear bomb.
Stunning a place I didn't even know existed
I grew up in that river valley, there are born and raised Albertans who don't realize the extent of our badlands. Drumheller and the Tyrell Museum are easily the most famous part of it.
wow Thats Amazing
So beautiful. I love Canada❤
Another excellent shared adventure Milosh... This area reminds me of the American SW, but without the strong reds & oranges found throughout that area. This almost has a B&W effect to my eyes... Otherworldly for sure. With the low sun hitting the distant hoodoos & other formations I sensed the sandstone colors wanting to come out...
Bill Farr...
+William Farr was a surprise to find something like this in Canada, been to badlands in Utah and New Mexico before...
very beautiful video sir
+NN thank you!
Beautiful. Just wonderful to see my home province so well represented. Thank you. I always look forward to your presentations and this was great. I recognize many places 😊 If you come back you must go further north up the Red Deer River to Dry Island Buffalo Jump. There is lots of red rock there too. It is a hidden gem in our province...floating down from there on the river to Drumheller is quite the trip.
+Barb White yes, thank you for the advice!
This trip was prepared in the last moment when Waterton Lakes NP was closed for the fires this September. I did only Crypt lake and was planning to do the other two great hikes there, but I had to quickly change plans after the park closure...

I've been to Alberta in my youth. Even in the summer, the weather can be quite cool. I'd actually call it refreshing.
92F last time I was there, sipping a refreshing cold beer in the (non-air conditioned) Last Chance Saloon.

I niesamowity duch tych miejsc ...
Chciałbym, aby moje stopy dotknęły tej ziemi ...
Chyba nierealne mam marzenia ...
Milosh, Dziękuję Ci za radość i ciepło mego serca ...
Teraz dzielę się tym ciepłem z Tobą ...

+kaihua zeng thanks for watching!
Very nice Milosh, like the contrast and 4K sharpness. Such an amazing place, mysterious and ancient. Just imagine the formations and what it was like eons ago. Big like. Thank you. :)) Some of it must be rain erosion, but other formations are so unique, it makes you wonder doesn't it? Nice dinosaur bones and funny rabbit in the desert. Thanks.
+M Outdoors Thank you, much appreciated! Yes, really interesting area, I did not plan this trip, but because of wildfires, Waterton Lakes National Park was closed after my first day of hiking there, so I was looking for another interesting place in Alberta...

meu amigo tá de parabéns pelas maravilhosas imagens
+Valdir Pereira many thanks, cheers :)
Some of the rock formations remind me of the Bisti area in New Mexico. You use really good music for your videos.
+7donc yes, when I visited Bisti I thought this is completely unique, but later discovered couple of other locations. I removed my Bisti video from the channel recently, the quality was quite low, hope to get there again...
Glad to hear you like the music too...
the museum the best part.
An interesting place.
Parabéns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Super, great work :-)
+Nature and Planespotting Petr Podroužek thank you!
Впечатляет, виды из мира фантастики.
+Sergejus Vasiljevas glad you enjoyed the video, Sergejus!
oh this is awesome. i have been to Drumheller and the Park. And it looks great through your video. Its very close to where i live like 1.30 hr drive. not that bad. But we never get to explore like you have as we have to get back to my fur babies on time.
+asankaw1 this trip was an unexpected detour, after Waterton Lakes closed because of the wildfires
Oh i see.. next time hope to meet you the great adventurer..
:)
I have never heard of this location before. But it is so much amazimg and impressing. Milosh, you sometimes (more seldom) present locations I already have visited, but sometimes you are my best geography teacher ever ;). Thank you so much also for this video and when you ever plan to visit my country (Germany), inform me in time .... Have a nice weekend
+AndreasAC Thanks for the appreciation, Andreas, glad you enjoy the sites presented!
Germany is certainly on my list, was thinking to stop shortly for couple of locations this Summer, but it will have to wait until next. Some advice will be appreciated :)
Not so easy to give some advices where to go. I thought some days now what's best from my point of view. Now I made my decision, what to mention.
Well, I think one of the most amazing places is to be found in south Germany, a castle called Neuschwanstein. It is not that old but the style is amazing and it looks like a castle in "dreamland". Also the near cities (Füssen, Bad Tölz) are worth to be seen, the Region around what we call "Allgäu" is only wonderful.
Second, I should also mention in the south-west of Germany the so-called Black Wood forest (we call it Schwarzwald). For your cam you will get nice impressions of the nature and the small villages.
A third destination could be the river Rhine, especially the route from Bingen to Koblenz. In Koblenz the river Rhine meets another river, Mosel. A trip along the river Mosel with it's small wonderful cities is unforgettable. Thats maybe the most romantic scenery here and should be visited in summer.
If you are asking the people for the the most impressing city many germans will answer "Dresden". After the german reunion this city got renovated and looks really fantastic now.
Now I have mentioned four destination which could be interesting for a visit in my country. If you ask more people, you'll got more answers - of coz. I tried to find out what could be interesting for you and your cam. If you wanna get more informations, just ask me.
Thanks for the time you took for this suggestions! They are really helpful and once I get to plan something I might get back to you for more info. Of course Neuschwanstein is extremely popular, but the other places sound very tempting. I was considering also Heidelberg and Rothenburg. Nice to hear about Dresden, I visited that city ages ago and even at that time it was very impressive, will be really a treat to see it nowadays :)
Rothenburg would be a very good choice, really. Heidelberg - lets say in this way: Not many germans are going to visit Heidelberg, it is more filled with foreign tourists. Heidelberg is nice, no question, but we do have some more interesting locations here... Have a nice day :)
Alberta has it all. Rocky Mountains and Foothills. 75% Forest. Rivers lakes, Rolling prairies and fields, and desert and badlands. Every landscape you could ever dream of but oceanside. It's a truly beautiful province to explore.
⭐️⭐️⭐️i love it⭐️⭐️⭐️
+A I thank you :)
i am lucky enough to live in this area...
Phenomenal video Milosh !
On the other note, Sony just introduced new 4K camera, the FDR-AX700. Are you going to update?
+mar1video extremely disappointed they do not have 4k/60p, waiting for the reviews to see how much they improved the rolling shutter and the stabilization, if at all...
Amazing Places on Our Planet - for that they want to to spend additional $3,000 and go with FDR-AX1, which is already 3 years old, so we can assume that sometime next year it will be replaced with something better. Let's hope so.
I've heard about people switching to Panasonic G series to avoid problems with the rolling shutter. I finally realized how problematic that is after I purchased the Sony FDR-AX53, which btw is good only for preserving memories from picnics, vacations and other family events.
Thanks for bringing us closer to the most amazing places on planet Earth !
I might still get it, do not see nothing else from this category, but maybe should wait for another year as you say...
Awesome ,I 'd like too suggest southern Utah
MUITO BOM. PARABÉNS DO AMIGO DO Rio de Janeiro
+Valdir Pereira Thank you, Best regards :)

+Athina Ch Thank you my friend, have a great week :)
Fucking awesome. Congratulations
+Bernardo Hortmann thank you :)
Looks like the Sahara.....genie fortress .56
Dont let this distract you by the fact that it can drop down to -35 c in winter there
That looks like Southeast Alberta
Your videos are superb might be even better with some commentary.
+Gary Cronshaw Thank you Gary, I considered at some point doing two versions, but that would be too much effort.
Ancient mine remnants
Doesn't that banding in the eroded hills take ya back and think about the past eh? Colcansm? ash, retreating oceans?
Awesome video , I just dropped a vlog on drumheller if anyone is interested! Unfortunately I don’t have shots as good as these though..
Great stuff again ...... Israel soon ??????????
+Zbigniew Chodor thanks! Maybe in Spring 2018
I also plan to there for the third time in my life , beautiful country ....... thanks again great work ........
Zbigniew Chodor - ok, come on, Zbigniew, not a single video on your channel, and you've been to Israel twice !?!
😉
Yes I know ...... I do have it on DVD somewhere , give me some time and I will send it to you , plus a lot of pictures ...... just give me some time ...... I will let you know when ......... thank you .......
Zbigniew Chodor - even Spielberg had to start somewhere. Share you experience, share your life with the rest of the world !
Good luck !
Have you ever been 1000 Island?
+Aydın Polat yes, in Spring. I wanted to get some foliage footage too, before publishing video. Looks like this past weekend was the peak, but I am far away. I might try this coming weekend, if the weather is good
It will be so good. because 1000 Islands are really a beautiful place.
you can make sure that video will be watched a lot.
Giant fossilized mushrooms.
Seems like the end of the World. Here's some interesting info on the area from 100 million yeas ago - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Interior_Seaway
+2minstral yeah, thanks for sharing this!
Cheers :)
EARTH IS NOW ON MINING: Earth is from Built up area 100% Mining.
How is here because you do online school
I also do nature videography.
Lap of nature - I visited your channel. You have access to some beautiful scenery. I'm not trying to criticize you but try using a tripod or something else to stabilize your camera. Cut video every 5 seconds, but stick to the same soundtrack for a while.
Just my 2 cents I've learned from watching Milosh videos.
What kind of motorcycles are you riding?
Good luck to you !
mar1video thanks for helping me. I have honda dream neo bike. But it is not good on hilly areas.
mar1video how can I contact you? Are you on Facebook?
Lap of nature - it may not be the best in the world, but it counts as a motorcycle !
Enjoy your rides, enjoy your videos, and don't give up on your dreams !
For me your country is an exotic one, so keep posting videos about it.
mar1video are you on Facebook??? Can I contact you for further help??
waste of land....
