I just did this cruise on the Spirit July 4th. We had perfect weather the whole week in Seattle and Alaska. The Spirit has a fantastic crew!
I was on this cruise with y'all and enjoyed seeing the fun your group had the entire cruise. I really enjoyed your video of dinner on embarkation. Just showing the meals, deserts, and the pour of the martini with the music overlay was awesome. I hope this is a new trend we will see for showcasing the wonderful meals.
Seeing the cruise crew and coop altogether just enjoying each other was so great to watch!! What a fun time with cruise family! It was super generous for you to gift everyone some of your famous jam Sharon. This video had ALL the feels!!❤😊

This cruise was amazing. The best people to cruise with. Sharon Jamie Matthew and The Ship show were amazing hosts. Loved the goodie bags especially Sharon’s homemade Strawberry Jam. Alaska was amazing. We will be visiting Alaska again. Thanks for the best cruise ever.
Which side of the boat do you recommend for this cruise to get the best view?
My first cruise on Carnival Destiny was a suite just like that room! Brings back memories ❤
we are going on a september 3 rd alaska cruise. was there anything you wished you had packed but didn't? so difficult to pack for this cruise.
If anything, we probably overpacked. I would say pack a bit less. Nothing really that we "forgot" to pack. Bring an extra pair of shoes/sneakers in case you get into some rain or mud. Remember you can always do a quick load of laundry in a pinch on the ship. Thanks for watching!!!

Don’t wear out the ship or eat all of the food. I’m booked on the Spirits repositioning cruise September 19th. I’m really looking forward to the full transit of the Panama Canal.

How is weather in june in Alaska?
Warmer than you would think, although it can still get pretty chilly. Tough to pack for..need to bring a mix of clothes!! lol

Sharon, I am leaving on the Spirit in a couple of months.
We may have a flight that leaves Seattle at 10:10am. (The day of disembarking)
Do you have an idea of how long it takes to get off the ship (average)? We did pay for the program that helps you get on (and off) faster.
Also, do you do other group cruises?
10:10 could be tight. Carry off all of your luggage yourself and be ready to run off the ship asap. I book all cruises, any line to anywhere, and we have some other smaller group cruises coming up. Email me sharonatsea@gmail.com

Smith Cove is really easy. It was like Baltimore, like the smaller ports.
Suites are the best, we would get them when our son and daughter cruised with us and mom and dad paid. lol
LOVED the Spirit, and yes the pools and hot tubs are heated.. Hope the Legend will be heated for Canada and Greenland. There are actually 3 pools. Midship, Lido then the aft/serenity.
What do you feel is the best cruiseline for Alaska, I am looking at Carnival, Princess and HAL for August 2024.
Just adults or kids too? Is it your first time to Alaska? Lots of variables to this question. Carnival can be great with kids, plus has a little party vibe and an ok focus on Alaska. Hal is more for adults, although they do have a kids club, and if you are really into learning about Alaska and the culture, they are great!!! We haven't sailed Princess, but you might find that they kind of fit right into the middle of those two.
@@SharonatSeaTravel No kids, we are almost 60, Platinum with Carnival so aware of the vibe, we are looking for some of that vibe with some quite space also. We like the Piano bar, comedy club and casino on Carnival that is about the only things we participate in. LOVE great food and drinks and people watching. Thanks for answering me. Do you suggest a travel agent or is just calling the cruise line enough? Thanks

On this trip, we did not.
I suppose one could dress nice to embark, making the luggage point moot and the MDR as well, but whatever works.
Does Carnival require a printed boarding pass?

We stayed at the Homewood Suites on Western. Look for the video before this one that shows our pre-cruise day in Seattle for more on the area right around the hotel!!

Was the pajama part just for your group? Or was it a Carnival thing?
It was just a fun event for our group. We also had the Lido Olympics you can see in another video from that cruise!!!

We have cruised on Carnival for years.

At times, yes..but it was pretty calm. Sometimes that first day heading North from Seattle can be a bit choppy.

it was actually somewhat warm and sunny, but we were lucky from what we are told. And yes, all meals in the main dining room are included in the cruise.

I have been on cruises three times. I should have went through your agency. I'm disabled and I got screwed because I wanted the next cruise and they told me it's now or never. So...I lost 3 thousand dollars. Hope you all have fun.
